With all the rain this season I knew things would continue to worsen and I assumed it was a problem with the flashing. I contacted my insurance agent for a referral and he recommended KC Roofing & Restoration Solutions. This company was more than accommodating and promptly visited Mom's home to review the situation. The hard truth was that the company that had put the existing roof in place had used the incorrect flashing and it had pulled away. The flashing was not meant to be used on masonry. Charles was great to work with and explained what needed to be done with a quick turnaround on the estimate. He answered all my questions and now that the work is completed I am more than happy. During the process today, Charles provided me with photos of the different stages of the work - even found a good match for the existing roofing shingles and used waterproof membrane (like an honest roofer should!) before replacing the shingles and finishing with lead flashing (which is what should have been used previously). Oh, and I also had them replace the chimney "cap" as it was also contributing to the leaking issues. Highly recommend - did not want to have a mold remediation sometime down the road! We…read morehired a reputable cabinet company to look at our kitchen cabinets and recommend the best (and least invasive) way to correct Artisan's (and Alin's) inferior work. They initially recommended removing the facings only, but unfortunately, they will have to remove at least half of the cabinets because there are too many flaws and the staining work is too inferior. The painter/stainer looked at our cabinets and said (and I quote): "This is a half-ass job, and I can't match the stain and wouldn't want to try because of the inferior work." Also, the Artisan amateurs rigged the cabinet hinges with wooden shims and the Butler's pantry hinges with cardboard shims to make them work (SEE pictures). If this type of rigging doesn't seem amateurish, I don't know what does.

We still did our due diligence, and got several bids for the remodel. Bill and Dave were not the least expensive, but they had the best value proposition. At the end of the day, they finished the project quickly. They were always professional, courteous and dependable. They sectioned off, used drop cloths and cleaned up the whole basement afterwards. I always trusted them with my garage code. I was given plenty of color and fixture options to choose from. The finished project was well above my expectations. PM disappeared after 2 months into the job. they never returned our allowance money. They did shotty work. Didn't grout under vanities which have legs so it noticeable. They installed wrong flooring in entire house. Left live electrical wires in the walls which could have burned down our home. Our shower floor doesn't drain because the floor is uneven. kitchen cabinets weren't finished. They flooded our dry basement and ruined it. I have hundreds of photos and a video of all the discrepancies. They will lie and tell you they fire everyone and rehired new people. It's a lie. They have more than one lawsuit. Check it out

Even after several calls and requests to modify a simple door replacement quote he showed up the day of the install with the wrong quote information. This was for a small project as a test run for a bigger project we are planning on doing. All I can say at this point is there's no way we would work with them again. The total lack of follow up and lack of communication is unacceptable when it comes to consumer affairs. The only reason they get 1 star is for the understanding carpenters that did a nice job.
