Mason is the owner of both of them. But the World Bazaar has no food, just a million items of interest for your home or person. I bought two of the scarves he had -- there is a great variety -- for only $14.95 each. What a bargain. And one of them matched exactly the sun dress I just bought at Cotton n Stuff. There were many many Eastern and Asian statues, Buddha-heads and art pieces to hang on your wall. The prices are very reasonable and it is a fun place to browse.

Some of the merchants inside are reasonably priced, others are a little bit more pricey. However, overall, I find that there are much better value than some of the boutiques that line the sidewalks in Oceanside or Carlsbad for instance. I ended up with a couple of air plants, nearly bought a beaded carpet bag type thing, but decided that I don't know when I would use it. They have two other locations in San Diego. Her attitude made us feel very uncomfortable and disrespected as customers. We were simply trying to shop, and there was no reason for us to be treated the way we were. I understand that retail can be stressful, but customer service should always remain respectful and professional. A manager sets the standard for the rest of the team, and based on our experience, her behavior did not reflect the level of professionalism I would expect from someone in that position. I hope HomeGoods looks into this matter and reminds its management team that every customer deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect.
