I got the Sunshine Immunity smoothie and really enjoyed it! The taste was very bright, zesty, and refreshing. I really appreciated that both the pineapple and the passion fruit flavors were coming through because in my experience a lot of smoothies with multiple fruits usually just have one prominent fruit flavor shine through while the rest kinda just hum in the background. The ginger added a nice zing to it that wasn't overpowering, just enough to make the smoothie that much more refreshing. I will say that the ginger burn got more intense later in the day as the smoothie melted (guilty of being a drink sipper that can make a smoothie last all day). I really enjoyed the texture of the blend, it wasn't icy or too thin or too thick. Especially since it was a hot day, this smoothie was hittingg. Unfortunately, our first order from the new earthbar, previously project juice, really missed the mark. the açaí bowls used to be really, really good. standout, from the juicy fruity base, to the unique and high quality toppings. Unfortunately the bowl we got today was more of a room temperature smoothie with a generic granola topping. They also replaced the cacao nibs with chunks of dark chocolate ‍. While the smoothie we had was OK it was certainly not worth the price. What was great about the old project juice was that all of the flavors were distinct and delicious and all of the ingredients seemed very high quality. This was just not the same. In the past, we've been happy to pay the high price for the unique, refreshing bowls and juices, but unless they bring back the old formulas for the bowls (not to mention the toasts and juices) we will probably be opting for somewhere else or simply make our own at home. read more

Great açaí bowls. You're able to add or omit ingredients easily and the granola is gluten free. They have vegan collagen and different plant protein options to add to their smoothies and bowls as well as a whole slew of other things you can add. I also saw they have gluten free protein donuts in the grab and go area I met the store manager this morning and he's a very sweet guy. I was in the mood for something, light and refreshing, yet filling and found myself at Project Juice at 10am on a Monday morning. I went with the Açaí Superberry (~$12) base which includes açaí, almond mylk, banana, and blueberries. The next step is to choose the topping style; they have 3 to choose from. I went with the Classic, which includes granola, banana, seasonal berries (I got strawberries), coconut shavings, and honey. The last step is to add a boost but I opted to not get any. The bowl was super filling, freshly made, and really hit the spot! It is pretty pricy for a bowl but pretty comparable to many other similar places. It was a solid choice and I left feeling satisfied and full. I would recommend trying it out and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again looking for a delicious açaí bowl. read more

I do like that they give you plenty of fruit toppings to make sure you're $13 is worth it. I like the convenience of it but I thought the quality of the bowl was merely ok. Firstly, I must admit that while this place is overpriced, it is pretty yummy. I have been obsessed with their Blue Moon smoothie, which really tastes like a healthy milkshake to me, but I have been disappointed on their consistency several times. The reviews on here are misleading. My mother originally wrote a bad review and this place contacted her and offered her free food in exchange for deleting her review. When we first started going here a couple years ago the fruit was fresh and the açaí bowls were delicious. Since then, the quality of the fruit and the food in general has declined drastically. Taste wise, Project Juice definitely lives up to my high expectations. The acai is the right consistency and the fruit itself always tastes great. Cost-wise - it's a bit more on the expensive side. In Southern CA you can get double the size for the same price, but that being said it is the Bay Area. The only complaint I have about this location, is that when there's a line, it tends to move slowly. Workers can't start making the bowls/smoothie until the order comes through electronically. I am not from Berkeley and did not realize that it was a part of a more extensive outdoor shopping mall-like establishment. But it did not disappoint. The Acai Superberry base with Paleo toppings Superfood Bowl was big and decently priced for the size. I ate it outside the location on one of the tables they have set up in the sunshine--no space inside to eat. And if you can or need to take it to-go, my lid wouldn't fit on the top of the container. They do have utensils you can take away. The only issue I had was with the lack of restrooms. No public or even private bathrooms were available around this location. read more

This place is a solid option for açai bowls in Berkeley. Presentation was great and the ingredients were pretty fresh. However I think that the açai is not freshly blended each time especially because it was quite watery, meaning it wasn't very thick and was much more liquid than normal açai. Another thing was that the price was pretty high for this small açai bowl, but compared to other places in Berkeley, it's price and quality is better than most. I also liked the vibe of the store, it was nice and quiet, and very cute with wood and plants. It's in a very nice area in Berkeley. I was so excited to find a "real" healthy place that sells Keto friendly coffee and coconut yogurt. The menu choices are lovely, the avocado toast was tasty and the coconut yogurt was okay. They gave the black coffee with no milk at all. And I need to request for a new lid as the lid broke open and coffee was leaking. And I have to remind them two times in order to get my MCT Keto coffee. Again, the lid broke open and coffee is leaking as well for the Keto coffee. This is quality issue for the lid for sure, although I understand the lid was properly environmental friendly. But definitely not functioning. The whole order process took me 20 mins. Project juice is one of my favorite places to stop at after SoulCycling. Don't get me wrong healthy, veggie friendly vega-friendly, keto-options are not cheap so this place is not gonna have Jamba juice prices. But for the price you pay it is amazing. I love this spot, from the honey toast to their Pitaya and açai bowls with extra honey. They always deliver the freshest items. I normally get the strawberry maca, the blue moon, and the buff beatnik. I like to change it up so I'm never a regular Joe/ get the same thing over and over again.
