Love, love, love this place !! I was lucky enough to be brought by a friend and have been able to pass the surprise along to others and it always delights me to see the smiles this place brings to everyones faces. Come by and feed the goats, hogs, and birdies, pick up some mulch, drop off some compost and take in the gardens. Its a cute little nook in an otherwise not very "vistable" neighborhood off of 79th. I brought my dog last time and (there are no signs stating not allowed) but I got the feeling that I will leave her at home next time. She had a gentle leader on and they seemed to appreciate that but I would imagine outside animals are not welcome. Just fyi

What a hidden gem. This farm is tucked away right in the heart of Little Haiti. We found it by taking a Little Haiti tour. The farm is well maintained. It grows different vegetables. All of the animals on the farm are rescue animals. This farm is open to the public for free. They also have a tree house and several rooms on Airbnb. There is a covered pavilion where people do yoga. If you're ever down this way, it's worth checking out!

    Hello!

Love this place!!! Animals, gardens, a treehouse to rent. Movies and yoga. Lots of Nature!!

Loved visiting this local farm hidden away in Miami. The vibe is very bohemian and welcoming. They offer some Airbnb and housing options so you may see people living on the property. There's so many lush plants and beautiful animals, it truly feels like an escape. Though if you dislike bugs, beware of large spiders lurking in the trees! Checkout the birds that talk back to you, they are fun and have spicy personalities. The farm has a camp for children that i hear great reviews about. "Staff" are very nice and welcoming to new visitors. Just be aware of your children and animals - I saw a girl get nipped by a pig (she stuck her hand in the pen) when her parent wasn't looking. Would definitely come back!

This is one of those places I stop by very often, and for some strange reason, never find the time to write a review. Until now. So, fyi, this review it's way overdue: since 2012. I know, right!!?? I still remembered the first time one of my vegan friends brought me here: "We are going to a sanctuary farm in Little Haiti", she announced. "A farm?!?!". I was hesitant to step out of the car, since the area looked super shady... But I'm glad I did. Several houses encapsulates the big complex, and once you walked in, you are welcomed by the rescued goats. Every Sunday I stop by to bring scrap foods I collect during the week. Coco, the cockatoo, loves mangoes. The emu can eat anything, but just be careful not to get too close. She/he spits. There's even a pond with koi fish. The turtles are super shy, and the chickens have a whole house for themselves. If you feel adventurous, you can AirB&B one of the bungalows for the weekend, or even better, one of the tree houses, and wake up on the top of the canopy by the rooster call at 5am. The showers are outdoor, to make the experience even wilder. Now you know my secret hidden place. It's up to you to spread the word...

Right before Yelp Event Culinary Carnival, Nicole showed me the permaculture farm situated in Little Haiti. The farm sits on a two acre plot and the animals that greeted us welcomingly included Emu, roosters, chickens, pigs, turkey, large tortoise and even a harvestable beehive. While we were perusing the property we heard all sorts of farm sounds. It's also an Airbnb for folks who want to spend a few urban farm-like nights on the property. The cool thing about the farm is everyone is welcome to enter. At the center of the farm is a large treehouse situated 30 feet above the ground in the lush green jungle canopy. I walked up the steps feeling like Tarzan when I reached the top, surrounded by vines and tropical greenery. There is an open full kitchen, coin operated laundry, an open fire pit and in the back we met owner, Ray Chasser who invited us to join the Volley Ball game with the dozen or so visitors and guests that seemed to be having a great time. Truly a fun oasis and people who have the right idea about spending a Sunday afternoon. We kindly declined, but next time we will! If you want a farm getaway in a small hippy community this is the place to come.

I found out about this place through a friend. And I have to say I'm so glad I came with my kids here. Is definitely a hidden gem in little haiti. Is open to the public, and I believe you could actually rent the tree houses and you could even camp out, I saw about 4 tents around the property. There is no parking so you will need to park somewhere on the street, is surrounded by houses and buildings. I have to say that since I came on a week day it was really easy to find parking but I'm pretty sure that on the weekends it could get a little complicated. Once you go in, the atmosphere is so different, but in a great unexplainable way. Is so amazing how this is located in the city. The feeling of being here is just breathtaking, with all the green all around, the tree houses, different animals, tents around the property. And the best part everyone that you see here is so welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be coming back here, I can't believe how I didn't know about this place before. I really recommend anyone to come specially if you need to unplug from the real world is a great place to come and visit.

Well seasoned and juicy. *5 stars Made a fresh juice- beets/ orange/ginger... SO YUMMY and affordable *5 stars The sides lack in flavor. Very basic and dry. red crema potato with garlic (dry and flavorless) Plantains (over cooked and dry) Pumpkin (no flavor but was scooped right) Veggies (soggy over cooked no flavor) Mashed potatoes (lumpy and was not tasty) Spaghetti and meatballs - yuck. I bought this meal back as it tasted like water. Basically no sauce or flavor. Meatballs are sad and I was really unhappy with this meal. The manager was not happy that I returned this food. I asked for another chicken as that was actually good. She said no I could get meatballs and a side. I asked for double mash. So in the end 4 meatballs with mash. It was lackluster to say the least. The chicken is what had me come back a 2nd time. But again the sides sucked and I think this will be my last time visiting that cafeteria. The juice was great from them.

They also offer some yogurt parfait and chia seeds yogurt along with salads that are already made to grab for quick convenience. Where the hot food is has breakfast options along with some meals which they change that vary in fried fish, meatballs, grilled chicken, etc. I've had the pleasure of having a large range of their breakfast from the bagels with eggs and turkey to lox bagels and avocado toast. This is a staple of theirs as I remember doing that as a child when it was called Parrot Jungle. However, the place seems to be falling apart and it was evident with red decorations falling off at the entrance. This is something that can easily be fixed. The children's play area is nice and pretty big. The treehouse, trampoline and the Beyhive were unique. The treehouse playground though needs a little bit more of an upkeep as part of the ground is lifting and things are falling apart. Seeing the animals was great. I fed a goat and enjoyed doing that but again some of those animals enclosures need more of an upkeep. The animal show at 11:30 AM is a little outdated. I would recommend changing it to make it more entertaining. Overall, if you come, don't have much expectations. It's a nice thing to do after you have done everything else in Miami.

Third and finally, visiting it for said special event, Luminosa, was ABSOLUTELY wondrous. Made the visit absolutely worth it (even if my bus almost missed the stop).
