I worked with Tomas a handful of years ago when he did our granite counters and island for a…read morekitchen. The quality of his workmanship wasn't so much the issue- but his attention to detail during the templating process. We chose two granite slabs for a large project which involved a 9 foot island and smaller project for another home. One of the slabs had a river of quartz running through the middle and was templated to be the center focal point of the island. When installation day came, we were surprised to find that the island had no quartz running through the center. We couldn't figure out what went wrong. When the second granite countertop was delivered to our daughter's home for install- there it was. The quartz was placed in front of the kitchen sink. This mistake really showed a lack of caring for customer wishes and a template appointment that was a waste of time. Pretty disappointing. Seams weren't that inconspicuous- I've since had other stone projects with smaller seams.

I contacted Atlantic Tile and Granite for a countertop project and received an initial estimate…read morefrom Tom St. Clair. Before moving forward, I asked several reasonable clarification questions about what was included in the quote, such as removal/disposal, templating, fabrication, delivery, plumbing or appliance reconnection, timeline, etc which was unclear in the quote. Instead of answering those questions, Tom responded in a dismissive and unprofessional way, asking whether I had read the estimate or looked at their website, and saying I could call him if I was "serious about doing business" with them. As a customer, I believe it is completely normal to ask detailed questions before hiring a contractor, especially for a home project involving cost, materials, and installation details. The lack of clear answers and the tone of the response made me lose confidence in moving forward with this company. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if you expect clear communication and respectful customer service.

When the cabinet was ready, he and Kevin came out and did the installation. They also took the cabinet that was there and moved it downstairs and repaired two of the doors, so it is now useable.
