I have been many times and always had great food and friendly service! Breakfast burritos are excellent.

The food is still decent, but the service has gone completely south. They need more wait staff and the one person they have has a completely nasty attitude! When I asked for a dry bagel with butter on the side, I had to wait an incredibly long time for a bagel that was dripping and melted butter. When I told her I wanted a new bagel that was dry, She looked at me with the nastiest look you could ever imagine! it was right then I decided I would never ever be back. Not only do you have to wait an incredible amount of time to get your coffee. It will also be a long time before you get a refill. I hate making nasty reviews, but this one is deserved. read more

I was super excited about the sausage gravy bowl special/w potato's. Only to be served a bowl of hot flour gravy with sausage it was the most disgusting sausage gravy I'd ever tasted. Coffee was weak. Waitress was friendly but, short and not very social, seemed bothered by having to wait on people. The atmosphere was quiet. read more

The Early Bird Diner is one of those places that doesn't show its cards all at once. The pace is leisurely but purposeful. The coffee is really good, the food takes a while to make, but the wait is worth it. We had a late breakfast and couldn't eat it all. It was delicious. read more

Pretty standard diner fare & a small ,cozy place with counter seating- my eggs were perfect(over easy)& the waitress attentive -coffee was good&ambience nostalgic. Well, the owner was at the grill when I was at the counter. She was friendly and personable. The food is pretty good.I saw a really nice fruit, granola plate go by me! -These are my recommendations: -Dump most of the old shelf decorations -Sit at the counter and check out the cosmetic touch ups needed ex. I swear I could see several home fries under the stove, chipped painted, some things that just need to really be scrubbed clean. While I get hiring family friends, rethink hiring wait staff that thinks talking back to the boss is funny. This place has some real potential, and I hope they stick around. read more

Came here with familly. Food has potential but the service was horrendous. Our server started vacuuming during our meal and put all the chairs up on the table around us. A fan kicked on and we hadn't the opportunity for any conversation either. Generally a relatively dirty restaurant the ambiance needed work. I'm amazed it's currently at 4.3 read more

You'd drive right past it if you didn't know it was there. But that hasn't stopped people from discovering this place, and I'm glad we discovered it as well. The really interesting thing about our visit was that it should have not gone well. We arrived at a peak time on Sunday morning. We got squished into a corner. Two of my family members opted to sit right on top of the heater instead of wedged beside another party of four. We waited almost an hour for our food. HOWEVER -- the service was attentive and pleasant, the updates on the status of our orders frequent, and the vibe was relaxed and quintessentially rural. Nice folks just looking to relax and have breakfast, devoid of pretense or high expectation, coupled with a simple country spot no doubt run by dedicated, hardworking people -- that's what made our visit pleasant and erased any perceived excuse to be angry or annoyed. And the food was quite good! I had a "scramble," and it was very well seasoned, complementing my home fries and toast perfectly. The kids loved their breakfasts and appreciated the coloring books they got to play with to pass the time. If I'm ever in the area again, I will go back. read more

We stopped in on our way home from Lake George after seeing a yelp review. It's a small dinner with a normal diner menu, eggs, French toast, sandwiches, meatloaf. The prices were ok for the amount of food you received. I decided on cream cheese stuffed french toast with strawberries. The bread slices were fairly big and they were lightly crusted in brown sugar, then cream cheese then another slice of french toast and a ton of fresh chopped strawberries. It was pretty good. My husband got a 4 egg omelette with a side of fried potatoes that had onions mixed in a a good amount of flavor and crisp. The staff were nice, we had to wait awhile for our food, if I had to guess it was time consuming to chop my berries. But over all it was good and it was about 20-25 with an O.J. and coffee. read more

A great find while on a road trip with best friends. Heading from our stop in Saratoga to Sharon Springs we were looking for a quick breakfast and WOW! What a find in the midst of the pandemic! Were were not looking for ambiance so the outdoor seating options were just fine. Glad we stopped! We all had some form of an omelette and all were fantastic. The service was friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Leaving, we all said we would definitely come back next time we are in Saratoga. read more

Early Birds is exactly what it looks like - a rural diner on the side of a highway. That said they do it exceptionally well - I've only had lunch here, but their burgers are great - service prompt and attentive, and the bottomless glass of iced tea the perfect thing after a morning of hard work on the farm. The best I can give them on my scale is a 3 - otherwise I'd rate them a 4. Most definitely give them a try when you're in the neighborhood. Just be aware - they close at 2 PM. A note on my rating schema Rating system 1) I wouldn't feed a dog I hated here 2) I'll give it a miss 3) Good food - I'll definitely go again 4) Really good - I'll recommend to business colleagues and connoisseurs of this cuisine 5) Completely worth a trip - I'd book airplane and hotels to go there again. read more

We spent the weekend at Pop's Lake and wanted to stop somewhere for breakfast on the way out. We saw this little place and drove right past before deciding to give it a try. Boy, am I glad we did! First off, it's adorable. A sweet little country diner bursting with charm. Second, it's insanely clean. Many places I've been to like this are dirty; dust covered fake plants, ancient photos whose glass is covered in 80 years of greasy film. Early Bird had the fake plants and ancient photos, but they were sparkling clean! Third, and most importantly, the food was delicious! My man had a waffle with strawberries, which was amazing and I had the fresh fruit, yogurt and granola which was way better than something healthy has any right being. Basically, if you're in the area and hungry don't pass this place up! read more

No frills diner I've been coming to since I was a little kid. My dad goes every morning during his summer vacations and they know him and his order. Coffee is actually good here, as is the food. The crispy breakfast potatoes that come with the eggs could meal by themselves. read more

Holy Crap!!! This place is awesome! My girlfriend and I went for breakfast the other morning. Her blueberry pancake was the size of her plate. My omelette was about half the size of a foot ball. Most impressive! The home fries were some if not the best I've ever eaten. I'm ashamed for not coming here before. read more

Food was home cooked. Chocolate chip pancakes were great. Bisquits were moist and fresh and delicious. Food made to order. Had a vegetable scrambler with no meat or eggs. Served with blueberry toast.
