    I have been a long time Customer of Earl's Store 1 for about 10+ years now,I even help put together a magazine article on performance plumbing when I was working in print media. I understand what people say about Tom, he can be abrasive at first but I think that's because of the type of product he sell. His job is to understand his customers needs without seeing said problem then coming up with a safe solution to help fix or plumb your project. I car remember at lest 2 time I've walked in with an idea in my head and Tom has helped me come up with a solution! Not to mention having everything in stock for same day pickup!

    Absolutely worst customer service ever. Tom was extremely unprofessional. I cannot believe people come here to do business still.

    I am writing to complain about my experience at the Gardena 14000 Crenshaw Blvd location. My first…read morecomplaint is simply the young lady Rosemary( is the name on my Receipt) did not know how to measure properly. There was a gentleman at the register that was helping her round numbers off so I assumed they got it correct. I received the call and my screens were ready about a week later. I go to pick up my screens from Long Beach California, bring them home to my surprise. They do not fit. I immediately called the store and let them know that the screens were not fitting properly. When I get to the store I got the opportunity to speak with the manager, Miss Sabrina. She was very pleasant very apologetic and sincere. I also noticed on the rescreened that because of the way the screens go back into the window that the tabs were on the wrong side, Miss Sabrina wrote a note for the screens to have the tabs placed on the correct side. She also noticed my small window screen, which was a a new screen was thicker and taller compared to the original one. She lets me know that we'll make it a priority and will give you a call when they're ready. I believe I dropped them off on maybe Wednesday or Tuesday and I hadn't heard from anyone over the weekend. Here comes Monday. I just called to check on the screens to see what the progress was. I didn't get the associates name on the other end of the phone, but they did mention that the screens were ready. I had my mother pick up the screens because I was not feeling well. She brought the screens back to me I immediately knew that they were the same screens simply because the tabs were not placed on the correct side. The small screen did not fit back in the window again I get on the phone and complained again. Miss Sabrina says she's so sorry we're gonna go ahead and give you your money back. I had a question I wanted my screens re-screened and I wanted to know based off the originals. Would they be able to do it . the manager Lila stated we've done your screens two different times and we're gonna go ahead and give you back your money, no one looked at the size of the screens, the height of the screens to make sure they were the same. No one looked at the tabs to make sure the tabs were on the correct side of the screen. I am simply writing to let you know the service was poorly done. Unfortunately, I'm not sure the staff even respect the on-site management. Everytime I walk in I'm never greeted, I feel like I'm a burden when I ask for help, 3 or more employees are always gathered at the front like a high school lunch table laughing and horseplay around. It's always one employee who has a great attitude, i found out today her name is Lila. Shes always helpful, and she always looks busy. I'm not sure if she's the manager or floor employee but she's great. I give her 10 stars and the store 2.

    Yelp review -- 0 star Title: Open on a holiday, but terrible…read morecustomer service and a threatening confrontation I stopped into South Bay Industrial Hardware today (Nov 11, 2025) because they were open on the holiday and I needed a can of Fix-A-Flat. The owner, John, completed the sale but the can I bought had a leak at the top of the hose -- something I've used before and never had an issue with. I explained that the tube looked tightly packed and might have been damaged in packaging, and asked to exchange it. Instead of listening, John stared at the can suspiciously and acted as if I was being dishonest. He reluctantly let me exchange it but warned that if the replacement didn't work I wouldn't receive a refund. He grew rude and condescending during the interaction, which was upsetting. After I left the register I said, while still in the store, "Thanks for not trusting me." He laughed. I regret that I used a bad word once I was outside. What followed was alarming: he came running out of the store and tried to grab the exchanged can out of my hands. He threatened to call the police and -- while I was recording from about nine feet away -- said into the phone, "she's right next to my face." At one point he would not state what he thought my ethnicity was, which felt explicitly hostile and discriminatory. I have video of the incident and plan to preserve it and report what happened. I'm sharing this to warn others about the poor, confrontational customer service and the intimidating behavior I experienced. I will not recommend this business based on how I was treated today.

    Big thank you to Lidia in Customer Service who in all of my years shopping at Home Depot, I have…read morenever had an employee do so much to try to help resolve a extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with the delivery of a outdoor furniture patio set. Yes the delivery issues were with an outside vender but the patio set was ordered online from Home Depot and after numerous calls directly to the vender who would do nothing to help remedy the situation, I went to the store and spoke with Lidia in Customer Service. I had a party planned for this weekend and the delivery came in 3 separate deliveries and were delayed numerous times causing me to have to hire someone to drag the heavy boxes inside each time and missed my arranged time with my assembly man. Lidia came to the rescue and arranged to pick up the boxes when they were finally delivered and have then assembled and returned to me in less than 48 hours. Her communication skills and customer service skills are excellent . She kept in constant contact with me and updated me so that I knew she would delivery on her promise. Having managed Customer Service departments throughout my entire career, I would have hired Lidia in a heartbeat. Bravo!

I'm not an expert with stoves or any of the installation requirements so it was a welcome assist. I'm not a shopper, clarification: I'm not an in person shopper, I much prefer the online experience. That experience does require a certain amount of knowledge or research to make sure you get what you need...especially if you want to avoid re-stock fees, etc. I don't mind a little extra work if it means I can avoid making a visit. Of course, not visiting means I missed a chance to peruse the garden center, but it's a small sacrifice. Plus, nothing stops me from an impromptu garden center, nursery visit. Nothing. Okay maybe pie does, but that's a story for another time. Skip the wait. Lose the checkout lines. Easily compare models. Arrange delivery. Ease of use and peace of mind. That's HomeDepot.com.

I actually went Waaaay out of my way to come to this store because I'm trying to boycott Home Depot and its evil politics, but Lowe's is absolutely TERRIBLE. I needed some wood and toggle bolts for a small garage project, but just as importantly, I needed some advice on the wood selection and my overall plan. There was no one to be found in the lumber section or in any adjacent sections. Had to go most of the way across the other side of the store just to find somebody in a position to help. He said he would find a specialist and have them meet me in the lumber section. 10 infuriating minutes later I'm still standing around waiting. Finally, I said to myself, forget it and headed for the registers. There, I encountered a woman who I vented to over the situation. I was polite, but she could tell I was heated. She asked me to please hang around for a moment and she would get somebody to help. A few minutes later, a guy did come around but he said he had to handle somebody's return first and for me to just accompany him near that desk while he took care of the issue. All the while this guy's referring to me as "boss." . Another 5+ minutes later, he's still dealing with this return, and others are cueing up and it's become obvious to me that this guy's not going to be able to get out of this post. Finally, I just paid for my stuff and bounced. Oh, and here's the best part: the reason I was given for why the store seems so understaffed and overwhelmed, was because supposedly, all the associates from the floor were off, searching for somebody's lost child. This was the story they actually gave me. The ineptitude and unprofessionalism of this place is completely off the charts. If I was with Lowe's corporate, I would want the regional manager's head on a platter. So incredibly dumb to allow the evil Home Depot to OWN you and kick your butt so severely. If my neighborhood Ace Hardware store had a lumber department, I would never have even come here. One thing is for sure: I never will again.
