Group of 7 from Texas rented these cabins for a week to enjoy the local roads. WOW is all I can…read moresay. We fell in love instantly and enjoyed every moment at this cabin. We wish we could buy one for ourselves lol. The views aren't substantial, but the location was prime for reaching all of our destinations easily. This layout and floor plan easily accommodated all of us comfortably. If you are worried about space, don't even sweat it. I bet it could fit double with zero issues. All the amenities worked and Jeanette is so timely in responses and getting our needs met. There is something for everyone, seriously. The only bad thing you could possibly say is that the roads to get into the cabins is a bit confusing and a bit technical to drive with a full size truck and trailer. However, once you're in, you just hate to leave. I found at the end of every long day of riding, I was so happy to get to come home to Wildflower cabin #1 as my home. We checked in with friends who rented another cabin #7 and they raved about it as well. Look no further for your family lodging needs, this is the place you are looking for! =)

Have made so many precious memories of our times together. Pictures of the great grandkids growing from year to year. Taking turns making meals & the fun & of exchanging gifts. The dirty Santa gift swap. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Jeanette is a fantastic hostess. Couldnt be more helpful. Have come to regard her as a friend. Cabins are the best. Will continue as long as we are physically able. Leaving today for a rare 3 night stay on a summer vacation at cabin #3. Can't wait. Highly recommend to all.

Overall it was a great cabin and a great experience. Below I'm going to break it down into facts I wish I knew and then some pros and cons. What I wish I would have known: -WiFi is included only if you pick up a device from the office. It was in the instructions but was overlooked by us.We opted not to get it and with Sprint our phones were basically paperweights so be prepared with maps, hikes etc beforehand -The road in the community to get to the cabin was crazy. Very narrow, on cliffs, steep etc. so hopefully you bring a solid car with a little power -The road in our GPS gave us was actually the famous Devil's Tail. Again, steep, constant sharp turns and cliffs. The 30 mile stretch takes like an hour and a half. It's pretty for 5 minutes but then gets old really quick so if you can avoid it I would. Pros -bed was insanely comfortable -cabin was stocked well with most things you would need to cook etc -very clean and well taken care of it looks like -nice and private property Cons -hot tub had LF error on the last night so when we went to get in after going out to dinner it was stuck at 84 degrees. You have a number to call after hours but since it wasn't an emergency I just left a voicemail. I never got a call back and we have since checked out. Bummer because the hot tub was actually a deciding factor for why we chose this over another rental and also not sure why nobody even bothered to reach out at all afterward. -water pressure in shower was low, kind of pees on your head -wood for the fireplace is stored uncovered essentially so it was soaked through and practically not usable. We had to go buy some dry word to start with.

The living room only had a couch and a chair which could not seat all 6 in our party. The chairs at the dining room table were worn out and uncomfortable. The master bed was not comfortable and creeked & groaned with each little movement. The hot tub was half full. Overall, not a good experience. And again, IT WAS NOT MOTORCYCLE FRIENDLY!!!

I was trying to stay near the Blue Ridge Parkway, within an easy drive from Atlanta for our Friday night arrival. Cherokee was the right location. Next choice- hotel or cabin? We like the outdoorsy freedom a cabin allows but for a short two night stay, we didn't want a fancy place that we would feel bad deserting all day long nor did we want the added "cleaning fees"- again- Panther Creek was a perfect fit for us. Located 3.7 miles up a mountain, our cabin- Nature's Landing- overlooked a small but cheerfully noisy stream. The cabin was cute, clean and affordable. It had the necessities needed to fix a nice dinner Friday night- grill, stove and a few serviceable utensils. The Jucuzzi tub, located in the main room, was more "Saturday night bath" than sexy adventure setup. The bed was clean and comfortable, if not "heavenly". Just what we needed! The grounds were lovely- family friendly and we enjoyed a nice swing outside as the sun set and the stars lined up to dazzle us. I'd love to go back to Panther Creek Cabins again.

This is not like a high end hotel, its a cabin in a mountain setting. There is no TV, no WiFi, and we could not get cell signal, but that was just fine. There was a selection of DVD. It also had an air conditioner. All in all, we stayed 3 nights and it worked great for us.

Also want to say that we have our own vacation rental in the Outer Banks and are very aware of some of the issues that come up while guests are in the house. Therefore we try to handle any where we rent with the same respect and care that we hope someone does to our place. Unfortunately this Cabin started out bad from the beginning. When we got there and opened up the place there was a distinct smell. So we thought-ok its been closed up for awhile lets get doors and windows open get air flow in. My husband does Commercial HVAC so he said-let me check the AC units. Everyone one of them was full of black mold. So bad in fact we headed back down the mountain and bought cleaning supplies. He spent the first four hours of vacation cleaning them out. Then there was the dried dog feces upstairs the mouse feces in the dishes the DVD player which doesn't work the VHS tapes everywhere with no VCR and finally the Directv which doesn't work either. Oh and one more thing-the shower upstairs leaks into the Master Bedroom downstairs and the downstairs bathroom is full of mold on the ceiling as well. That was two more things. Anyway I placed a call to Yellow Rose the next day and let them know the situation. Explained to them everything-black mold, leakage, turds, TV, turds, etc etc..They asked if we wanted a plumber and said they would send out a tech for the AC. She also said she was going to text or email me when someone was coming out. And stated she would talk to her manager about a credit. Never got a text never got an email-we had already done most of the cleanup so not sure if anyone ever came out as we weren't at the Cabin a good bit of the time. We were really disappointed how this was handled and hope they can remedy some of this-especially a Cabin which is really a health hazard! Pictures attached pre cleaning of mold-

When we first got there we realized that the floors were so dirty we had to wash our feet again before going to bed. Then the toilet would not flush and fill back up for a while and it leaked at the bottom so much we had to put a towel around it. Then we washed our clothes and it leaked around bottom of washer. The closet in bedroom was full of junk and no hangers so had to leave clothes in chest of drawers. There was an extra chiffrobe but it was locked. We called the office and they sent someone out to fix toilet but they didn't. The faucets in sink and tub had dripped until both looked so nasty from iron residue that before I would bathe in tub we bought cleaner and scrub pad and cleaned them both. Even after telling person at office all of this he didn't apologize nor offer any type of refund or discount. Needless to say, we won't use this company again! Such a shame it was a cute little cabin and being right beside the stream it would have been super if all these things had been checked out before we ever got there!

We were only there for a weekend, so we didn't use the kitchen, dvd player, etc. But, we did use the hot tub! Nights and mornings were in the 50's and breezy (aka cold wind!) and the hot tub was great for both morning and night. The creek running past is calming and drowns out any sounds from town. The convenience of the location with the privacy, make this cabin perfect. As others have commented on their website, the cleanliness was amazing! The hot tub was already hot when we showed up and there was a treat in the fridge, yummy! The drive to Cherokee is easy, and passes by Bearmeats Indian Den, one of the few shops with real hand crafted goods. Be sure to stop by there. The furniture was comfortable. Furniture and décor is typical styling for a rental cabin, but in much better shape than many I have seen. The pictures are true to what is there. I slept so soundly in the bed, I didn't even wake during the rainstorm. The kitchen, although we didn't use it, was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. needed for cooking. Plenty of silverware, plates, cups, and mugs for 2-4 people. Washer and drier were great to have available. We used the dryer and it worked fine. We did not use the grill, but there is one available. There is one flaw, and that is the shower. It is small. My husband is 6' and ~170lbs and it was tight. The shower served its purpose, but if you are larger, consider one of their other cabins. This shower would not deter us from coming again, we absolutely would! I just want to include that so others can pick which cabin is perfect for them. Madeline clearly takes pride in her cabins and will gladly help you pick out the right one. When I called, I had it narrowed down to 2 and she told me more about each. She wanted to make sure we loved it as much as she does.
