My car being towed away...I haven't made my first payment yet!

Within a year I have put at least 1k into this car. Alternator. Battery. Wiring. Gaskets. Fuse plugs. Spark plugs. New belt. Multiple tows. I'm honestly waiting to pay it off n just get rid of it.

Brand new scratches looking like the car is keyed after going to Sean at G&G
    Anna G.

I have had one of the worst experiences dealing with the Eagle Valley Motors team since January. If you thought your used car buying story was rough, read on. I came to EVM after months of looking at and researching different cars, thinking I could finally be able to purchase a vehicle from a family owned business close to me. I showed up to view a car they had posted on their site with their own pictures, only to come and find that the entire body and front of the car was damaged from a bad accident, not specified on their site. That's when I should have left.... I met with Ryan, as well as Sean from G&G garage (the mechanic shop that is strictly contracted by EVM), EVM's contracted mechanics and detailers; along with their GM Sean and Mary in the office. If you want to have the world's worst used car purchasing experience, have your contract negated, and be treated with utter disrespect-feel free to go to EVM and ask for Ryan and Sean. They are not/have not been willing to follow through on their contracted obligations and go as far as to make jokes/make fun of you when you try to schedule getting your car fixed. Will add full review ASAP. (Pics below are what was left on my windshield when I was finally able to get my car in after 3 WEEKS due to lack of communication when next day was promised.). Will post the pics of new scratches as well that appeared on my car after taking it to Sean at G&G, who had a horrible customer service attitude and talked about me in the garage to others and laughed at me....all because I wanted my car fixed...alas. These screws could have really hurt me, noticed by a second real mechanic that I took the car to after this horrid experience and was shocked by the fact that nothing was done, let alone detailing inside or outside the car. EVM do NOT care about their clients whatsoever. I am disgusted with the treatment truly. Would recommend you steer clear. Truly horrid. Check their BBB. They have blocked my phone number and hang up when I call. They are running a scam on our community and it's beyond illegal.

    Me and my boys

When everybody said no, they said yes. Phillip was very helpful. He didn't try and pressure me into something I didn't want or couldn't afford. He was honest right from the start. I noticed that the heater wasn't working in the car, by trade I am a mechanic, but I work on semi trucks and trailers, so I tried to diagnose the problem myself. Well I couldn't quite figure it out so I called Phillip and he said bring it back to the car lot so he could look at it. He said if it was something simple like the blend door he could have it fixed quickly due to getting the parts down the street. If it was some that he was going have to send to the shop he would put us in a loaner while it was getting fixed. So hear we are sitting at the dealer ship watching Phillip run around like a chicken with his head cut off. He is trying to attend to his customers and us and being the only person here. Yes we did have to spend some here at the dealership but we came prepared with drinks and snacks. Phillip is an amazing person. So if you are looking for your next ride I highly recommend coming to Eagle Valley Motors and ask for Phillip!

This van I purchased lost paint after the first car wash I took it through the first week I bought it and is already rusting.

Five stars for Amy Funes at United Federal Credit Union - Carson City North. My wife and I live in…read moreLittle Rock, Arkansas, and Amy handled my auto loan for our new 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander. From the beginning, she was responsive, professional and genuinely interested in helping us. She never made me feel like I was dealing with a faceless financial institution--she became my person at UFCU. The real test came when our car delivery was delayed and, at the last minute, our dealership located another vehicle for us. We needed the loan check overnighted to the dealership before we left on a long-planned trip. Unfortunately, the UFCU branch handling the shipment failed to get the check to UPS on time, and the delivery date suddenly became the day after we were scheduled to leave. Amy was in Nevada. The problem occurred at an Arkansas branch. None of it was her fault. She could have simply told me the check was on its way and there was nothing she could do. Instead, she jumped into action, explored every option, personally contacted our Toyota salesman, provided documentation that the loan was approved and the funds were coming, and helped coordinate a solution that allowed the dealership to release our car before receiving the physical check. That made the difference between making our trip in our new vehicle and leaving without it. I've spent much of my career working with organizations and evaluating people and performance, and I know the difference between someone who is simply competent and someone who takes genuine ownership of a customer's outcome. Amy is the latter. She didn't create the problem. She simply refused to let someone else's problem become my problem. Adversity doesn't build character; it reveals it. Amy's character is top notch. UFCU should be very proud to have her representing the organization. She earned my loyalty, and I am very happy to tell others about her.

Fortunately, many of the same employees stayed there through all of the transitions, which made it nice because I didn't have to reestablish relationships. I love this bank because it's local, they know your name when you call or come in . They're very professional and extremely knowledgeable in banking. I would like to reference the manager, Rick, who is exceptional, friendly helpful and always there, If something comes up that needs an answer. I love working with Lyric and Emily, especially after my husband passed away, and there were so many things that had to be taken care of with relationship to my bank accounts. I love the fact that I can call them and talk on the phone. They know who I am talking f I have any questions or need information. Many of the banks in Carson City treat you like numbers, they don't know who you are. They don't form personal relationships with you, At least that was my experience with helping friends with their banking situations . Every year they have a customer appreciation event with food which is very nice to be treated so well. Lastly there's always chocolate or some kind of candy and bottles of water, that's not the only reason I bank there, but I can tell you it certainly is nice to have a treat while you're waiting for your transaction to be taken care of.
