My lord! Did they use tar paper with gold weave, or shingles made with Kevlar?? We had another estimate completed the following day; the price was less than the first, but the gentleman wanted to do a complete "Dog and Pony Show" presentation afterwards. Sorry, but I had to cut the first guy off from his song and dance saga early, and I didn't want another high-pressure sales attempt-- he wasn't too pleased, but he did email me the paperwork the following morning. I was totally prepared for yet a third turgid screed titled, "Our Roof Is Better Than Their Roof!" from anyone coming down the pike, but I'm happy to say that I didn't have that issue with C. L. Wright Roofing! Let me first say I'm not one to write reviews on every little thing, and I'm not trying to blow a ray of sunshine up anyone's pant leg with this one- they did a darn fine job, and they deserve a darn good review! Here is the service breakdown: * The gentleman arrived on time and was polite, with a no-nonsense attitude- being a veteran, I like that! * Within about thirty-five to forty minutes, he had a written estimate in my hand. It had a everything covered: the shingles, paper, the water damaged soffit and hosed gutter that need to be replaced, and a damaged 4' x 8' plywood board that was bad; (we were aware of these before hand) he also noted that the skylight that provided some daytime light to the attic was broken and leaking! Noted on the estimate was that other plywood pieces could be water damaged, and we'd be advised if anymore needed replacing and gave the price of each piece upfront. I did go to the main office and picked out a shingle color; Jo Anne was very helpful, and I was on my way in no time. * The crew arrived on time on the date stated a few weeks later; they were polite, and cleaned up the small stuff as they went. No cigarette butts or personal trash was ever noted, either. * The project was completed on the second day, and the supervisor arrived later that evening. He did a sweep of the property, picking up any remaining rouge construction trash or wrapping, then used a magnetic roller to pick up any nails or metal debris. Afterwards, my wife and I did a walk around the property with him making sure all was good to go-- and it was! The final cost: $6,700.00 That's a far call from the other companies! As often happens, they discovered and fixed some additional problems while doing these repairs, such as a small fix to skylight flashing that (hopefully) solved a leak that wasn't even on their original scope of work. Thankfully I could pop my head in upstairs just to watch every once in a while and loved what I saw - if the material wasn't quite aligned it was cut until it fit appropriately. If there was ANY rot they took care of it. They aligned my neighbors roof and mine (townhouse). In one case, a screw wasn't exactly right and there was 1mm of movement so they screwed in a second screw to make sure it was tight. All of these attentions to detail was in areas I would never have noticed if I just saw the final product. They care and in fact left every aspect of my roof better than before (including making sure my patio wasn't loose as it was before which wasn't even part of their job).

See for yourself at https://www.bbb.org/us/va/mechanicsville/profile/pressure-washing/thorough-clean-llc-0603-63413691 I contracted a "3 day job" with Mr. Edwards to epoxy the downstairs floors. Work was to start 12/20, 2021 and be finished before Christmas, "guaranteed". Mr. Edwards texted that he was unable to find a concrete grinder to rent, then found one, then texted me that he found his wife in bed with a black man he afterward described with the N-word and couldn't start work that day. This trend only became worse over time. After epoxy cured and was walkable, I took a good look at the floor and found ground up leaves and debris throughout the entire urethane topcoat from the crews shoes and 48 spots where the epoxy beneath was chipped to the concrete underneath and other clearly visible defects. His epoxy permanently on my bathroom sink porcelain and fixture, on doorknobs and walls. He even epoxied my stair carpet into the floor! Requested Mr. Edwards resolve the issues per contract and he blamed me for his shoddy work. I requested a full refund of the $7,280.73 so that I could pay someone else to fix or cover the awful workmanship, Mr. Edwards said he would go through his insurance to get the refund, then refused and offered an unacceptable $2,000 refund via check. When informing I would take Thorough Clean LLC to court, Mr. Edwards eventually pleaded to let him come back and do the job over, which I allowed. A grave mistake. Over the next 5 months, it was excessive tardies (EG: stated arrival at 9am, not arriving until 3pm or later, if at all), constant no call/no shows, lies, and always that it was some thing or somebody else's fault. Never his. He was unable to fix the floors and abandoned the job after having received payment in full. When I changed my review to 1 star and no description as a result, Mr. Edwards, via text, threatened to sue me for slander if I put up a bad review. Mr. Edwards, the truth is not slander. I have mountains of photos and texts and a crappy floor that prove every word I say is accurate. Please, PLEASE take me to court over my honest review. I'm more than happy to appear. After Mr. Edwards ceased responding to communication in May of 2022, I reported the issue to the DPOR, who found Mr. Edwards had not obtained the required Class C Contractor license and was criminally liable for knowingly performing contract work anyway per §54.1-111 of the Code of Virginia and DPOR referred the case up to Senior Assistant Commonwealth Attorney who, because of quarantine and staffing issues, closed the case. I can provide the full case file from DPOR upon request. As of 8/24/23, he still has no license on record with DPOR. Conclusion: Mr. Edwards is indeed a great salesman. He is slick and convincing and a remorseless pathological liar. I was sold excellence and ended up worse off with greater debt, due to damages, than when I started. Mr. Edwards never finished the job after over 5 months, called me names when confronted about his lies and constant no shows, was racist toward black people and is not allowed at my residence ever again. Mr. Edwards may be able to provide acceptable powerwashing and cleaning, but is an amateur with epoxy and it shows, so be warned. He may offer to fix his mistakes if he must, will take an extremely long time trying, and will quit and disappear when he can't actually fix it instead of doing the right thing. For this job, he was extremely unprofessional, blamed me for his own poor workmanship issues, and I wouldn't trust him again to do any job well, or arrive at the time he specifies, or even show up at all, based on my direct and lengthy experience. If you are considering hiring Mr. Edwards for contract work, request to view the contractor's license first thing, not just the business license, and you'll end up saving yourself thousands, unlike quite a few of his customers. I didn't know any better, so learn from my mistake. Caveat Emptor.
