I had some challenges with a recent gas-leak repair strikingly similar to Lauren S. When I…read morescheduled the appointment, I was told a written estimate would be provided before work began and that the total cost would likely be around $400-$500, based on a rate of $185 per hour for labor. The final bill, however, was well over $2,000. I was not provided an estimate on site. Two technicians were sent, and it turned out that the billing was calculated at $185 **per person per hour**, including drive time that appeared longer than travel time at rush hour from their headquarters according to Google. After reviewing the invoice, I had to seek legal advice and confirmed through an independent witness that the technicians were on site for only a few hours. We ultimately reached a resolution after considerable back-and-forth. I would recommend asking for a written estimate and a clear explanation of hourly billing before authorizing work. Write down everything and do not proceed unless you have a written estimate you agree with.

So far, Aaron's Plumbing has been a great add to my list of plumbers to use in the future. They…read morerecently came out to my house to give me an estimate on the plumbing that was required for my main pipe from the second floor all the way down to the basement. It's a heavy iron pipe that was put in in 1918, when my house was built, it has a hairline crack in it. It will be costly to get this one replaced with PVC piping. They took the time to discuss it with me, wrote me out an estimate at the time they were here, so I have something to refer to, we're in the ballpark, figures quoted by others and we're also thorough on explaining the costs, and what to expect. Since this is just a preliminary estimate, I am not going to hold them to anything as we all know those change once you get into the big jobs, but I am sure they know what they're doing as I feel comfortable with that. They are licensed, bonded, and insured, which is a highpoint for me. Their reviews are good from past customers. Aarons plumbing representative said showed up today were courteous, on time and respectful of my requests while I was describing the desires of my future project. I hope to continue working with this company, but I am accruing more estimates as I go on in my project. I always do my research and I know I can count on them to give me. Good answers if I ask questions. Thank you, Aarons plumbing. More later...

He supposedly…read moresnaked the drain, told me it was fixed, and said he'd come back out at no charge if it wasn't fixed. A few hours later I washed some dishes & sink wouldn't drain. I contacted him, he refused to come back & he told warranty company my drains needed to be hydro jetted as they were "full of grease and debris." Warranty company wouldn't pay for it as it was "too expensive." I finally hired a handyman who said, when fixing. that the drain was snaked in front of a curved part of pipe, but not after and there was a clog in the pipe after the curve. Thankfully handyman cleared the pipe and the sink drains great now. I DO NOT recommend Randall & Sons.
