On Sunday and Monday morning I started calling plumbing contractors and companies in our area. All the companies I called charged, what I felt were, incredibly high prices for the unit and the install...until I called dFlo. Danny has an A rating on Angie's list, and he sounded like a good plumber to me, so I called him. His prices were extremely fair and definitely more in line with what my husband and I had thought we should pay for the water heater and the install. Our house needed a 50,000 BTU, 50 gallon natural gas water heater with a power vent, so my husband and I knew the unit would be expensive up-front; I had researched and had seen various unit prices online. Danny got us a great unit (same one some of the expensive companies were going to put in), the right size, with the specs we needed and wanted, he installed it the same day, and he was extremely professional, detailed, courteous, and focused. I saved hundreds of dollars (between $370 and $800 when compared with the quotes I had gotten from other plumbing companies in the area) by going with dFlo for our water heater and installation, and the unit is perfect! When the other companies tell you, "that's just the going rate for the type of water heater you need with the install," don't buy what they're saying or their products and services. Josh (plumber) was efficient, adaptable and the installation of the home's water filtration system was impeccable. I also appreciate how careful they were with our time and money. Not only was their quote comparable to other local plumbers, but Josh asked for the model number of our system a week before our appt, so he could anticipate any issues and ensure that he had the right materials. That seems pretty uncommon, as other plumbers typically prefer to learn on-site and bill the homeowner for that extra time.
