The work was done well, everyone was perfectly professional at all times, and the task was completed perfectly as promised and quoted. I cannot express how fabulous Bob Frame Plumbing is. We had a rough two weeks and Bob Frame came to our rescue! At one point yesterday, I had 4 plumbers working at my home. 16 days ago at around 9:00 PM, my daughter and I thought we smelled gas. I was running my gas dryer, so I didn't think it was that bad. By 1:00 AM, the smell was so strong it was unmistakable. I called NIPSCO and they said to evacuate ourselves and our pets. By 1:30 AM our gas was turned off because there was definitely a gas leak. The NIPSCO person said is was probably leaking for a while. That explains why my family had been experiencing headaches and dizziness. There are only 2 companies that fix gas lines and one of them was Bob Frame Plumbing. Bob Frame Plumbing was a blast from my past. That was the company my parents always called for plumbing issues. When I called and spoke with Amanda, she told me sometimes it is just the shut off valves but sometimes it is more extensive than just that. Thank goodness she warned me. Dave R. came out and changed the shutoff valves, but unfortunately all the pipes needed to be replaced. From the appliances through the attic and outside to the meter. It took us a couple of weeks to save enough money (no lottery winnings lol). Once we had everything we needed, I called Amanda. She called the suppliers and I figured it would be several days. To my surprise they were here in 2 days! A special shout out to Amanda who was so helpful getting the team here. She truly went above and beyond and I am so grateful. And special thanks to Dave R. who was here on 2 separate days and to Tucker who was here with Dave the second time from 8:30-4:30 to replace the pipes. And to Trent and DJ who also came out yesterday for a separate issue. And last but not least Deb who takes my calls with a smile. My parents knew Bob Frame was a great company back in the 60's and that is still the case! I know if I ever need help again, they are now my go-to! He gave me two scenarios on how it could be fixed. He recommended one fix if the parts fit. They did! He did the repair and was on his way after checking the repair. We had somewhat of an ejection pump emergency (on a Thursday afternoon) and Bob Frame Plumbing got us taken care of in less than 24 hours when I was originally told it may be Monday before they could get to us. The problem was so simple the technician quickly determined the problem, did a thorough check of the system, and explained everything and answered all my questions. They were able to repair my leak same day!! The technician was helpful in explaining what needed to be done and got to work right away. My biggest concern was that he worked on the repair for about an hour and I was billed more then that. There policy is travel time is part of the bill. I live in the city, it is of my opinion that some travel is to be expected, and should not have to incur this cost within. read more

I recently had a flood in my basement. Water was coming in from everywhere for approximately three days. I had two different waterproofing companies try to help me unsuccessfully. I finally found Tyler with Bob Frame Plumbing and he was able to run a camera in my perimeter drain and ascertain that the problem most likely came from excess "sock" on the exterior of the perimeter drain that had been stuffed into the inlet where the perimeter drain enters the sump pit. This sock had cause sediment buildup and finally clogged the inlet. I was extremely impressed with Tyler's professionalism and with the entire Bob Frame staff. I highly recommend them. read more

My water heater went out. I called at 7:45am and a plumber was at my house at 9:45am. He was very efficient and thorough. Measured my space for the appropriate size heater needed. (I live on a slab and have a small closet for the furnace, water heater and water softener.) The plumber laid down absorbent toweling that ran from the furnace room, through the dining room and down the hallway to the front door. I returned to work, as I felt very comfortable leaving someone in my house. Upon my return home, all of the furniture that needed to be moved was back in its place, the floor was clean and even the floor in the furnace room showed no signs of any work being done. Avoid this company! Last year had them out to fix water heater. I thought the bill was high. Dispatcher said that labor charge starts from when the phone call was made. Tech admitted he finished another job after call came in, said we were lucky the job he was on was close by or it would have been a lot more. After tech left, we smelled gas. Called him back and tech argued with us that it wasn't possible. Tested and there was a gas leak. Tech finally came back out and said he wouldn't charge us for the return trip. Gee thanks! Thought it was all just a one-time screw up and bad tech. So, called them again when water heater failed a year later. Tech came out and spent couple hours 'cleaning debris' from charge line. Gave us a $258 bill and an estimate of another $960 to replace igniter switch and control valve OR $1500 for a new unit. Why would he rack up $258 bill on a unit that might need to be replaced? I complained. Owner called me and told me tech followed his manual. I called another company and got a repair estimate under $500 and a total replacement for under $1000. This company is all about racking up the labor hours. They charge WAY above market for their services. Tech and staff are nice but I question their competence and I know they are seriously over-priced. Do yourself a favor and find another provider. read more

Put on a clean out and helped create a plan to convert a drywall to a more functional drain I could access and clean. Terrible customer service. I requested a quote for a major plumbing job and was told on three different days the quote would be coming the next day. Three times, no quote. I requested a refund and was told I would get a call back as soon as they located my papers, three hours later and I am still waiting by the phone. If they can't be trusted to keep their word before a job starts how can I trust them after they take my money? read more

Do not go to this company in an emergency!!! My fiancée and I came home late at night to find that the main sewer line had backed up flooding both toilets and the bathtub. We started calling different plumbing companies to try to figure out whether or not we could get someone out to fix it because it was literally impossible to use the toilets in the house without them flooding the bathroom again. Finally, at 1:30 in the morning we got a call from this company's tech. Yay!! My fiancée answered the phone and the first thing he said was "are you sure you have an emergency at 1:30 in the morning?" Yes, or we wouldn't be calling you... When she asked me to speak to him he first asked me if I had heard from anyone else and when I told him no he told me that the going rate for clearing the main sewer line was $985 because it was a weekend. I have since gotten estimates from two other companies to do the work. They were $375 and $270 respectively. Honestly, if you don't want to do emergency repairs then don't advertise those services. And if you need emergency repairs, don't go to this company because they won't be responsive and will try to gouge you. read more
