When I complained about their pricing I was told they use the national average, and I could have had a free estimate done, if I'd asked. I didn't ask because I expected fair pricing. But to have the tech come was $109.00 unrefundable service fee. He was there, I needed water, so I said okay. I will never use them or recommend them again. Their name is appropriate, Advantage takes Advantage. I want Michigan pricing, not some National Average they dreamed up.

I own a home here in Elkhart that was built in 1900, and over its 126-year history, the plumbing…read morehas become quite complicated. When my kitchen sink clogged, I decided to tackle the problem myself. As a DIY enthusiast, I first tried using my 25-foot drain snake, but it didn't solve the issue. I then attempted to clear the blockage through a cleanout access point in the basement, again without success. At that point, I called Roto-Rooter. The technician they sent was outstanding. He used a 75-foot electric drain snake and initially pulled out nearly half a bucket of thick grease buildup. Although the drain clogged again shortly afterward, his second pass completely cleared the line. The water began flowing freely with no further issues. To be thorough, he also ran the snake in the opposite direction from near the end of the line to ensure there were no additional obstructions. Throughout the process, he explained each step, answered my questions, and took all the necessary precautions. I was very impressed by his professionalism, expertise, and friendly demeanor. I also appreciated Roto-Rooter's fixed pricing and their 30-day guarantee in case the drain clogs again. Based on the quality of his work, I doubt that will be necessary. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter. Their pricing is competitive with other plumbers in the area, and the service I received was excellent.

Fast, Reasonable, and Friendly!…read more We thought we had a complete disaster on our hands, but these guys turned it into no big deal at all. When our well pump decided to pass away over the weekend (R.I.P.). I took one look in the crawl space where it was located and immediately decided I'd be calling someone. It was ghastly down there! It almost looked like the house was built around the well and they planned on never accessing it again. I think I even saw a zombie. I don't know. I just got out of there quick. I called Taber first thing Monday morning. They showed up within and hour and ventured down into that hell hole without even flinching. They took the old pump back to their shop, determined it was bad (it was probably 70 years old), and had the new pump installed and running by 4:00 in the afternoon. The price was very reasonable, especially considering they had 3 guys spend a full day on it. We'd definitely use them again!
