Terrible, DON'T USE THEM. They drastically under estimate to beat competitors to get your business. When the local movers came in, their estimate was more than 50 % higher in cubic feet. In our case, the cost was about $2400 more than original estimate of $5400, for a total of about $7800. With this huge discrepancy, we were trying very hard to work something out by drastically Reducing stuff to be moved. eg. all dining room furniture including buffet & souvenir display cabinet, etc etc. After more arguments and disputes came shouting exchanges. For more than an hour no work was done. They even threatened to pull off a few times and drove off. Eventually when they came back, they asked for large sums of money (about $2000) all in hard cash in very very short notice, at 4:40pm, 20 minutes from bank closing at 5:00. I understand a quote won't be exact - however I had given them the exact packing list, weight, cubic ft it took to move previously. My quote was around $4800 and they held my belongings hostage until I paid over 10k. The last payment was required to be in cash or postal service money orders. This whole company is a scam! They are a broker company that uses a third party to actually move your stuff. My husband and I were quoted $1946 to move from our 1 bedroom in Florida to an apartment in Atlanta when then movers came they refused to take half of our stuff, and we ended up packing 3 cars full of our stuff and paying an extra $550 dollars on our original quote. I am in the midst of a relocation and chose Eagle Moving Group to pack and load my home. My Sales person, Kent Jevremovic did my inventory with me and gave me a quote for under 8k. I continually asked if this amount would change and I told him I normally have over 100 items closer to 125. He gave me a more realistic quote but still under 9k. My packers shower up and my move is now costing me close to 11k. I do not know how a Senior Sales person could be that far off on a quote. An additional reason I chose Eagle was that Kent told me that they already had trucks going to my new location which is why he could offer me a lower cost. That being said, I was picked up on Saturday and followed up on for an ETA on Thursday to be told that my belongings aren't even on a truck, and I would need to wait until the following Thursday to get an ETA. Do not use eagle moving group. We called eagle moving group and got an estimate for moving from Oklahoma to Denver. When the movers arrived it was a different company that contracts with eagle moving group and they took 10 minutes to look around and then said it was going to be 3 times the amount estimate. They stated that we were going to take up more space than what was estimated. I had measured every piece of furniture and had fewer boxes than what was on the estimate. I even offered to remove items and them just take the furniture and the specified number of boxes listed in the estimate and they still refused to reduce the estimate. Now we are stuck tracking down a uhaul and asking friends and family to help us load the truck, I have no idea how we are going to unload the truck once we get to Denver. read more

Please note that you must pay attention to the fine print with this company. They use a 3rd party broker to reel you i and convince you to use them that they are licensed and insured and cheap. Once they have your items they will keep telling to refer to the policy. Professional, communicative and gave me the window of June 15-June 17 for when my furniture would arrive. I am moving from Southern California to Seattle, so I booked a babysitter, a dogsitter, and two airplane tickets. This would allow me to set up the house before driving up with two toddlers and three dogs. I even booked two extra days, just in case. (No guarantees) This process of shipping your move was explained to me: your things are driven to a warehouse in Nevada and left there until they accumulate enough shipments to drive out to your direction. So my cremation ashes, art, clothes, everything I wanted to be protected and handled professionally is likely buried in a warehouse with no ETA on it's arrival. Pros: The price, if honored, is competitive. I will update the review as there are some recent reviews making me nervous. Cons: Upon booking Eagle, I wanted to verify this company would handle my move. They said it was. It was farmed out to Streamline who has significantly worse reviews but have been slightly more communicative. They also accepted my tip and lied to me about a tracking app in the same breath. BEWARE: MOVE FROM HELL USING NEW START RELOCATION/EAGLE MOVING GROUP This is lengthy, hopefully it will help from being deceived!! Don't even consider using them for many reasons: 1. They are a broker company & lie/deceive to get your business. They totally take advantage of people that are not familiar with how a broker company works & they never point out they are not the ones doing your move, nor do they tell you who they are contracting with so you can check out who is actually doing the move and read reviews on that company. After much investigation and contacting the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), New Start is EAGLE MOVING GROUP. We were NEVER told that! 2. Inconsistent pricing - we were quoted $1,860 & move ended up costing $5,000. Spoke with 3 different sales people & each one told me something different. The last guy called the evening before the movers were coming asking if I wanted to guarantee a larger percentage of the truck as my reservation was at 18% & if more of the truck was required when they arrived the price increase would be at a premium. He was offering a discounted price & said we could reserve the space-if we didn't use it, they would refund the difference. We reserved 40% of the truck with the price being a little over $3,000 & we could get the movers to show us the 40% of the truck. We did a Facetime call so he could see the amount of items we were moving. He said 40% should work & probably would be less. When the movers got there, they had no idea what I was talking about that they based the move on cubic feet - the price went up to $5,000 after they got the majority of the stuff loaded and said if we didn't pay they would unload the truck. 3. At the beginning of the conversation to hire this company, I told them the furniture had to be in TX NO LATER than Sunday, April 27 & wanted delivery on the 26th. They assured me this was not a problem. They picked up on Thursday, April 24th & the movers left us believing they were the ones taking the furniture to TX. Due to us having Apple AirTags on some stuff, we found out that the truck with our stuff was sitting in a warehouse in Birmingham, AL on Friday. On Saturday when the truck was still showing it was in Birmingham, I texted the driver that had picked up our stuff to find out he wasn't the one taking the stuff to TX from Augusta that our stuff would be loaded onto another truck & it could be 14-21 days before it got to TX. I called the after hours service & was told that they never guaranteed arrival on the days that I had given them. After a heated convo, the service person called and said the truck would be reloaded on Sunday & delivery would be 1-3 days after that. Again, I told her that was NOT what I was told & explained that my son & daughter in law had jobs that required travel & no one would be home. She said we'd have to make arrangements & that was our problem-if no one was there when delivered they would leave & we would be charged a redelivery fee. Again, I lost it & told her I would be filing a complaint with every organization that dealt with moving companies. 4. We were told they required cash payment or a USPS postal check upon delivery for the balance before they would unload the furniture or they would leave with the furniture. I again called a customer service after the driver called my son telling him they would be delivering the furniture on the 27th, but again stated cash on delivery. When I called, I received a text stating she had already helped me & that they were closed to call back on Monday (note: they state they have 24/7 customer service). I sent her another text telling her what the driver said & asked who has $1,700 cash laying around & ATM would only allow withdrawal of $500 and what kind of company requires payment of cash to someone they've never seen or heard of - how were we guaranteed they wouldn't take the cash and then say we hadn't paid -FISHY/very UNPROFESSIONAL. 5. Found out the name of the first company that loaded the furniture was Eagle Moving Group which was New Start but wasn't told their name so I could read reviews on them, & then had no idea of the name of the 2nd company that actually took the furniture to TX until it was too late. A company called RELO Van Lines out of Sunrise, FL. Both EAGLE MOVING AND RELO have complaints filed with FMCSA. 6. The furniture was delivered & there were broken items. One additional thing, the second guy I spoke with said not to worry about added insurance as we were covered up to $10,000 per item & $200,000 for the entire move that we wouldn't need additional insurance only to find out that they only paid $.60 per pound for any damaged item. DO NOT USE THEM! I had the worst moving experience ever with Eagle Moving Group & the company they hired to actually move my things, Jackson Movers. I originally spoke to Michael Covington, Senior Relocation Director at 561-532-2600, michaelc@eaglemoves.com February 27th at 7-8am CST. He quoted me $2717 (350 cubic feet which equates to $7.76/foot) but what my total was when the movers showed up then after dropping off my things was $4868.75 because they said it was really 400 cubic feet. I was lied to by Michael. Completely lied to in order to make the sale. Complete fraud. Horrible salesman. He quoted me $2717 and said that included them packing everything AND all of my live plants. Then I had another crook call me: Nicholas on 3/11/24 from 561-464-2418. He wanted to confirm my items. When I mentioned plants, he asked if they were live plants and I told him yes, he said we don't move live plants. I told him I may need to cancel and hire another company because I was told that all of my plants would be able to be moved. I have 33 plants. My quote included that. He said he would call me back and he did and assured me that they would make an exception and would move my plants. The movers showed up on movie the week before I was planning to start work out of state. They said we are absolutely not moving them. We are not licensed to live plants. I then called Michael Covington and he said "I told you to put them in boxes and not tell them they're plants because they don't move plants so you needed to just put them in boxes and not tell them." I said "that's completely not true. You told me that I would need to wrap them but they would move them, but I would need to wrap them myself and I said I would reach out to a company to let me know what the best way to protect them would be during the move and completely covering them was something they recommended not doing" He was absolutely so rude and didn't care at all that he completely lied. Crook salesman. I never would have agreed to not letting the movers know that there were plants in there. That's insane. The movers that showed up had terrible reviews. I never signed the document that had Jackson movers on it but they sent them anyway. The final document that I signed for the items list because I wouldn't sign the one that he originally sent me not showing my plants that was NOT the document that the movers had so they didn't even use the actual legal signed copy that I ACTUALLY signed. The only reason I move forward is because I didn't have a choice. I needed to leave that night out of state to go and start my new job. I was forced to use them, and I absolutely hated that I did and I hope that I could at least prevent one person from using them. Jackson movers ended up leaving behind items that were on my list and when I called and called and called because they had just left my house seconds prior, they would not answer or call me back. I even text messaged no response ever so I ended up having to have a hitch installed and rent a trailer. There was no way I could fit my things on top of what they forgot so I ended up having to pay an additional $805.43 to move the things that they forgot that WERE on my list. And it turned out that they were NOT going to pack all of my stuff. They were only going to pack my kitchen and closet because he said it only covered up to 25 boxes and I honestly didn't even count. There was three of them and they worked so fast in different rooms so I don't know how many boxes that they packed themselves. But the actual $4868.75 that I paid was just for them to pack my kitchen and closet and they loaded everything else that I packed. Complete rip off. I was completely lied to. I was told that I would get my things on the 20th then Jackson movers said they had no idea when I would get my stuff. Fortunately it was on the 22nd so only a couple of days behind from what I wanted but when they showed up, they were in a truck, when they went to deliver my things, they said they had switched to an 18 wheeler because they had other peoples things and if I if they couldn't park the 18 wheeler in front of my building, then they would need to switch vehicles and that would cost me an additional $600. Outrageous. Thankfully my apartment complex allowed them to park in front of my building but because he had to go down a hallway before going to the freight elevator, he said it would be an additional $225. I moved from Oregon to Texas in 2023 and the company they chose to facilitate the move was not a licensed carrier per the ODOT and they ended up crashing the truck with my stuff and the items of 6 other individuals moving from Oregon as well. I had $12k in damage as a result of the disaster. Over half my items did not arrive and that which is was destroyed beyond repair. TV- shattered. The only remaining memorabilia of my dead mother- gone. Someone else's mattress arrived and was essentially BENT IN HALF. I have no idea where my actual mattress ended up. I found out about the crash bc another individual who was apart of the move found out and told me, as he'd been given my information (complete breech of personal information btw) and sent me the police report, pictures of the crash, and the details of what happened. The moving company Eagle chose to facilitate the move no longer exists and despite multiple attempts to try and get them to take accountability for the garbage business they do, they just brush it off and say, "It wasn't their problem." Someone named Daphne at Eagle tried to help, but was eventually fired because she tried to expose the scandal. Eagle is BAD, REALLY BAD. Book with literally ANYONE else. The company is a group for many companies working together, and it is just as uncoordinated and filled with failures to live up to their promises. A move to a different state got jacked up in prices by hundreds of dollars due to the lies of the service agents on agreement for keeping the furnitures in storage. Terrible company. From the first contact I was sold on having a direct, long distance move. The associate misrepresented the company. They only offer direct moves for an additional $2000+ . After several phone calls discussing delivery, no one mentioned that a direct move was not going to happen. My concerns were never truly addressed over the phone and I hung up each time feeling defeated like I had no control over the process. Eagle Moving Group are moving brokers who do not move anything. They contract with movers to move you. They will charge huge amounts for nothing. Contact a moving company directly. You will get better service directly from the moving company. We found Eagle on the internet. They give you a low ball estimate at first and it only goes up from there. We supposedly had a binding estimate 2434 cu.ft. but when the movers they contracted with, Apartment Movers Plus, arrived the day of the move our cu. ft. went up to 3525 and we had not added anything to move. When we called Eagle about this, they told us what they charged us, and we paid for, was only an estimate. They did not stand behind their binding estimate or help find out why the cubic ft was so high. They did not tell the mover all the payments we made and we ended up paying a deposit twice. When we called them to discuss this they told the movers it was already included. We tried to cancel the move but were told we would lose the $10,000 deposit we paid Eagle if we cancelled. So we had no option but to move forward. They never sent anyone personally to look at what we were moving. We itemized our furniture, gave them the measurements of every box for the item listing to arrive at the cargo cu. ft. they charged us for. They did not provide the mover with that listing. They did not tell us we should not accept the Apartment movers cu. ft estimate until the truck was loaded. We paid for 3525 cu ft load over their estimate of 2434 cu ft. Eagle had 2-26' trucks delivered to move 2434 cu. ft. and all our belongings were moved on 1-26' truck. We had never hired a mover. We always moved ourselves within a short distance but we were moving from TN to VA. After moving we called several movers and box truck salesmen to verify the cu.ft. a 26' truck could haul. We were told the most would be 2000 cu. ft. How did we get 3525 cu. ft. on a 1-26' truck? We have tried to discuss this with both Eagle and the Apartment Movers but have not received the first returned phone call. My experience was a nightmare!!!! DO NOT USE A MOVING BROKER. Hire a moving company directly. READ THE REVIEWS. Insist on a estimator to personally look at what your moving. BE SURE you get a binding estimate. BE SURE the mover has a list of what your moving when they arrive. INSIST they load the truck before revising an estimate. BE SURE you know the size of the truck and the cargo cu. ft. it will hold. BE SURE all your deposits are applied. BE SURE TO GET EVERYTHING in writing and keep your paper work. BE SURE you get the Bill of Lading and understand what is on it. Eagle Moving Group lacks integrity! I recently moved my 88-y/o mother from my home in central Florida back to her hometown of St. Louis, MO. Needless to say, this type of transition was already stressful to an elderly widow, but it was exacerbated by the lack of integrity in the deceptive information offered by Eagle Moving Group (Eagle) from Boynton Beach, FL. I called Eagle in mid-May, inquiring about logistics of the interstate move of two bedrooms of furnishings across about 960 miles. I was greeted most pleasantly, and advised they would help me navigate through this process. Unfortunately, they failed to provide necessary information and led me to believe they could accommodate my requested 6/22/24 delivery date. In addition, they quoted a good faith estimate of $1970.50 for packing and moving. Once the movers came, they were unprepared to pack, stating it wasn't in their contract, which resulted in additional fees of $1847.00!!!! Eagle Moving did not send a representative to survey my mother's belongings to give a more realistic estimate, which I would have agreed to pay, had I known the "true" costs. Their cost estimate was most deceptive! The Bill of Lading indicated moves of 960 miles would take between 2 and 14 days; this was written and presented as "general information." I specifically asked how long it would take and they quoted "2 days" not "2-14 days." Had they explained how it really works, that the movers won't deliver until 2-14 days AFTER the available date, I could have arranged a sooner pick-up so the goods could have been delivered by 6/22. Their reassurance of the delivery date was most deceptive! Last, I was assured of "expert advice and guidance throughout the course of your move," but this again was deceptive because when I learned of the additional fees and tried to contact the representative, there was no answer and no call back. When I tried to contact them to find out where my mother's furniture was and when it would be delivered, there was no information offered, and no call back with estimates. The answer service said they would leave a message for "the right person." The reassurance of expect advice and guidance is a farce and is another example of Eagle's deceptive business practices. What makes this so ridiculous is that it could all have been avoided if Eagle Moving Group customer service representatives had been honest about the costs and delivery date. Their lack of integrity created a considerable amount of stress and anxiety for my mother, and many hours were stolen from me to track down her belongings and to address their fraudulence! I scheduled a move with Eagle Moving Company based in FL. I gave the person on the phone the contents of two storage units, He gave me a good quote, I needed to get the keys to the movers and was about to send them overnite, when I got a call from someone using the same name as the original person who quoted me stating that I misled them in what I had in storage and the new cost of the move will be twice what I quoted them. I cancelled and he said fine we will refund your down payment with a 5% charge. Come to find out the person who called me was the subcontractor. When I reached out to Eagle I asked the original person had he been notified that the cost to me was going to be doubled. He said no and would look into it. Spoke to another estimator and he was rude again claiming we did not put two units down on the estimate, yet the estimate I was given showed the 2 units, I called them again and got a snippy "supervisor" I asked for the owner and she said no. They lied about our quote stated we'd get full pack out on both ends and a Semi truck then the bill of lading came with only a box truck and no packing. Eagle moving group does not explain they are basically a broker: they source you out to another company. Everything that was repeatedly represented on the phone was incorrect and when you try to call back and confront the representative, they are magically on vacation. You are then asked during this process, "Well, did you read the contract?" You are overcharged, and it has been almost a month, I still do not have my belongings. I've used Eagle Moving for 3 cars and 3 bedroom house move and was exceptional happy. My Rep Steven Graf went over everything very much in depth, very professional, and helped me following up towards the move for date changes. I've gotten quotes around $10,000-$15,000 due to my move and had quite a bit of bulky items lol. Steven made it clear that what ever items I added if in a big surplus would have to get the quote readjusted which is very reasonable so there wouldn't be any surprises at pickup. I added around 50 extra boxes (200 boxes total for my move) and a fridge and pay a few hundred dollars more but that was expected off what he mentioned. My move cost overall From Santa Monica California to Kansas City Missouri was done at $11,000 which I can say was very well worth it. The guys on the job blanket wrapped and pad wrapped everything and got it all barcoded. Was very pleased with the move. I feel like lots of the bad reviews on the company aren't truly fair. I've been in customer service for over 20 years and when you have extra items making the job longer these guys can't do it for free if not they wouldn't be in business Which people need to be more understanding of especially if it throws off scheduling. Very poor monitoring of sub-contracting choices Eagle Moving Group, while customer service was fine, does not insure that the customer understands that they are simply a moving broker. Nor, do they ensure that the companies they subcontract with are of even average quality. We called and got an estimate for our cross country move and when another different company arrived, we were surprised by it. Moved from Bakersfield CA to AZ. Took 7 days to deliver. Items arrived broken. I had to assist with the move because they only sent one guy for the delivery. I didn't expect to pay over $,1800 and have to assist with the labor as well. Crazy! read more
