Purchased a $2k Miele dishwasher in September 2024, and my experience with Gerhard's Appliance has been nothing short of a nightmare. The delivery process was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I had to reschedule and miss work FIVE times for installation, each time due to different issues: 1. product damaged upon arrival 2. no show - someone got hurt. 3. no show - flood at previous job site 4. install completed, but forgot a crucial bracket for the door 5. installation completed Fast forward to March 2025, and the unit was wobbling all over because it was never installed correctly in the first place. I made an appointment a week in advance, only to end up canceling Friday evening personal plans due to their lack of competence and lateness. Friday arrival window was supposed to be Noon to 4 pm. Instead, received notification between 7:10 pm and 7:40 pm. I was in contact with customer service throughout the day, complaining about the delays. The Customer Service Manager was absolutely useless and promised to call me before leaving - but, as expected, there was no follow-up. DO NOT USE Gerhard's Appliance. The entire experience has been frustrating and unprofessional from start to finish. Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all costs. FOLLOW UP - love the standard response from a 'manager/owner' to email them for resolution as they are too lazy to follow up directly with the customer. At this time we decided to go back to the supply room to see if we could find what we needed. I was right next to the rude guy and he never even asked us if we ever got any assistance or if we needed help. My mom and I decided to leave without looking further. Since the receptionist was so nice, I decided to tell her about my experience and told her that the supply center guy was not very helpful, and in fact he was kinda rude...could it because we were two Asian females??? She told me that they were short staffed that week and apologized on his behalf. She said she would get someone from upstairs to help us if needed...I told her 'no' that we were about to leave. She told me the rude guy's name is RICK and that the regular staff was out today. Even If you're going to the showroom to look at something you plan to buy online from a discount seller, I"ll bet you're going to have a question (how deep is the xxx? How many inches does this need to be set back from xxx?) and if you have a question, you need an appointment to get a quality service. It's kinda like a doctor's office, except you might see the 'doctor' and 'patient' right in front of you, just looking at a bath tube, so it seems like you should be able to just jump in and ask a quick question or two. In fact, that 'patient' made a ONE HOUR (that's the usual) appointment with the 'doctor' and they're in a working session. I guess folks re-do their K's and B's infrequently enough that this matter of needing an appointment is not widely known; I sure wish I'd known it before my 3 nasty experiences with other showrooms. Because the Ferguson designer Molly was so incredible, understood me so fast, knew the product, knew exactly what to show me, I shared about my other bad showroom experiences where I had no appointment, and she compared it to wedding dress retailers. One might do that big wedding dress shopping-with-mom/bridesmaids once in a lifetime, and if you don't know that you need an appointment and walk in off the street, you'l be shoo'ed out of the dress shop asap, even with $15,000 cash hanging out of your purse. It's not a system that is structured to handle walk-ins. It's not home depot. I'm giving Ferguson's 5 stars for the quality of show room and Molly 10 stars (if I could) for customer service. WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT, make it with Molly, even if you have wait a few days. We were extremely clear that the seating needed to be unobstructed--essentially, a counter-height table extension from the cabinets. The final design we approved included an apron, but no measurements were provided to explain how it would impact stool clearance. The rendering even showed five stools at the island, which gave us confidence that it would work as intended. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. Because of a poorly designed apron, it is physically impossible to fit standard counter-height stools under the island. The clearance is so low that no stool exists that both fits under the island and allows you to sit and eat comfortably. In other words, the centerpiece of our kitchen--the island seating--is a total failure. It is appalling that a professional kitchen designer would overlook such a basic and critical detail. We assumed we could trust her expertise, but that assumption has left us with an island that cannot function as designed and no reasonable options to fix it without a major renovation. If you are considering working with this company, be warned: do not assume the designer has considered the practical details. Double-check every measurement yourself, because we learned the hard way that they do not.

Long story short, this has pushed everything else we have scheduled on our remodel back a week and a half because that is the soonest they can get us the cabinet that THEY messed up ordering. Hands down worst customer service I've experienced, especially when it was completely the companies fault. No help at all, not even an apology. For this reason I would go to one of the many other cabinet stores. My 5 stars is based solely on sales representative and ordering process. I will come back and update after install on quality of cabinets etc. The sales representative Mary Jane has been very responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable through our whole ordering/layout process.
