Parking is a little tricky but once I got in it was pretty painless. 10/10 would smog here again

Always bring my vehicles here without any issues. Friendly staff. Never had any problems redeeming coupons either. Check their website and show them the coupon before the service. The only negative is that they only have one spot to park in out front so if it is occupied you may have to circle around and the location is annoying in that regard. There isn't an easy way to circle so you have to go all the way around the block which takes ~3 min and hope the spot has opened up. I think it's okay to pull into the driveway but make sure you don't block it completely. read more

Easy and polite service. My battery died and my car continued to fail the test but they never charged for a retest, Martin helped each time was patient, informative and followed safe cocos precautions. Will use again! read more

Easy to find, Waze brought me right here and the signage to park and find the office was very clear. Friendly and fast service and clean office. Easy as pie. They also offer coupons on their website!! read more

I got my smog check done at E-Z smog around 4 in the afternoon and didn't wait more than 15 minutes, which I was impressed by! The service was efficient and communicative of the process and what I needed to do next. I felt in the loop the whole time. read more

No appointment. Very short wait (one in front of me). Fifteen minutes later, done, passed and information electronically sent to DMV (you still need to finish the DMV registration process - pay - online or the old fashioned way). Efficient. I did not go to their website for a $20 coupon, my small contribution to keeping this business going... I paid cash, too, so he doesn't have to pay the credit card charge. read more

The smog check cost $55 dollar total with the coupon that is found on their site. I checked many of the other places, and that seems to be the price for a smog check in Davis. Overall, the process was fast and easy, and the whole process took less than 20 minutes for sure - it felt like 10 minute actually. 5 stars. Bravo. Here are the steps in case you need more clarification. Drive into the parking lot and park near the gate(don't go in because he'll help you drive it in later) After that, just go to the front office and ask him for a smog check, and make sure to mention the $20 off coupon! read more

This Eastern European sounding prick named Augie has a terrible attitude and when he talks he sounds like hes mad. I drove into the parking lot and the prick yelled at me and told me to park it on the street when his whole lot was empty. Then he goes outside to drive my car back into the lot. What the helll?? I asked him if he was busy and how long it would take. He said in a mad tone: "Does it look like I am busy?" His terrible attitude continued so i said forget it i have to go. That prick drove my car halfway out the lot and had me walk there and get it. He also left my gas pump cap open. NOTE TO OWNER: Please contact me I would like to talk to you about your prick of an employee in more details. I WILL TURN THIS RATING INTO 5 STARS ONCE THE PRICK IS FIRED. UPDATE: The madman is fired, so i changed rating to 5 stars. read more

Wow! In and out in less than 1/2 hour w/ 2 people ahead of me. My test took less than 15 mins. I think this guy is too busy to be shady

I really appreciate all the help this smog shop gave me...above and beyond the call of duty! The first time I brought in my car it was low on oil so they weren't able to smog but they let me know so it wouldn't damage my car. I procrastinated and brought it back here months later, after finding many other davis shops' hours to be inconvenient, and not only did they remember me, but they bested the coupon I had and gave me a gas cap to pass! total cost was like $60. Also its very close to the DMV which is great since that's usually the next stop... Great customer service, honest and fair! Thanks E-Z Smog! read more

I needed a smog check for my car and I didn't quite know where to go. I google map a bunch of places on a saturday and many of them weren't open... EZ smog was open. Called and in 5 minutes they were working on my car. The guy that helped me was nice to offer not just me but other customers water and juice. Awesome service. Quick service. A Winner! read more

I realized the day after Christmas that my registration was due, with a smog check. There I was in Davis visiting family with nowhere to go. I checked Yelp and found EZ Smog, a mere mile away from my family's house. I called over and John was very helpful, saying he would stay open late for me if I ran right over (with the car of course). I arrived and I was in and out in 10 minutes, with prompt service. All in all a 5-star experience! read more

My truck is on the lucky list of needing to be smogged at a test-only place every two years, so I knew I was going to need to get it tested here in Davis. Of course I waited until a few days before the end of the month to get it checked out...and hadn't thought of looking for a place. I came to Yelp and found E Z Smog. I called and the guy told me I could bring the truck in right away. I was in and out in about 25 minutes with no problem. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a smog check. read more

Friendly, fast, and competent. Shortest wait I've ever had for a smog test.

I used a coupon so price was similar to my Vacaville were I live. The service here is fantastic. I drive an extra 20 minutes just for the quick and friendly service. The inside is clean and has seats for the short 15 minutes it took to finish the car ahead of me and complete my smog. My technician was Martin. I have 3 cars and this is the only place I will go for smog from now on even without a coupon. Thank you Martin for making this a pleasant experience, I will be back. read more

I have been going here for years and the service and professionalism is always top-notch. Martin is polite, informative, professional and takes great care to be as speedy as possible. I really appreciate having a trustworthy place to go whenever I need a smog certificate. You will too. read more

I have been coming here for years and they are always awesome! They are very friendly and efficient. Today I was in and out in under 30 minutes. No hassles and free wi-fi so I could work while they worked. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Thank you EZ Smog! read more

For the past eight (8) years, I have taken my personal and business vehicles here. They had always been great. Apparently, there is a new owner? I took my business vehicle in today and he flat out refused to help me. He was not busy, just didn't like the type of vehicle I was driving and didn't want to assist me. I will no longer take any of my vehicles to this establishment. read more

Great service by very efficient and professional staff. I didn't need an appt and it took less than 1/2 hour.

In and out in less than 15 minutes, straight to the point, little small talk. Perfect.

Good service, prompt, very professional. Will definitely do business here again. Also, there's a coupon online that can give you a little discount off of your smog certificate. read more

Efficient, friendly, fast, convenient. $75 for most cars. Smog only station. I was in and Putin 15 min, but I came in early in the morning with no wait. read more

I love this place! I took my vehicle there in December and was greeted by the owner, Marty. Great customer service- very friendly, got me in and out in 15 minutes and the price was excellent. I was so pleased that I took my second vehicle there earlier this month. I got the same fantastic service! I highly recommend E-Z smog! read more

Outstanding service. I was worried my 1996 Lexus with 200k miles on it wouldn't pass smog. I called and Marty at the front desk was very nice, told me about a coupon which made their price for a smog and cert at least $10 cheaper than some other places in Davis. Went in there and I was impressed with how professional Marty was. They got me all done in about 15 minutes, I passed, and it wasn't expensive. They made it a very pleasant experience. I will go there next time I have to get smog checked. read more

Amazing service. The owner, Martin, does a great job. He is quiet, but polite. Completely painless smogging process, which I can't say has always happened. Price is competitive, and I will definitely be taking my car there in the future! read more

I love this place. I've brought my beloved car here to be smogged every other year for many years now. They are friendly and fast and they make sure you know how much time is left and the status and whatnot. Once I went to another place and it was a mistake. Also they play NPR so if you forget to bring something to read you can listen to that. Good place. Bring your car here. read more

I just had my car's smog done here. I was greeted by a friendly quiet spoken guy. He did the test, my car didn't pass so I got a free retest and the car did pass! The place is clean and there is seating inside. Very easy experience and it's near the DMV too! Great place and great service, thanks! I will recommend this place to my friends. read more

Thank goodness there are new owners of this EZ Smog! They were helpful, reasonably-priced and fast! I have had three cars smoked there recently and I have recommended them to friends. A very pleasurable experience! read more

I was very pleased with the overall professionalism of this place. Marty , the owner, was polite, friendly, and thorough. After the testing began, he would point out step by step what all was taking place with the car. They were finished with everything very quickly. There were two cars ahead of me, but all went well and smooth with them as well. I had had some unpleasant experiences several years ago at EZ Smog, and was a bit reluctant to go, but those people are not there anymore. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to anybody, and would go back without any reservation.! read more

Fast, easy, and friendly! The proximity to the Davis office of the DMV is a plus as well!!

This really could not have been a simpler process. Went in and while I gave my info, my car was already pulled around. Short wait and no surprises. Friendly staff. Pretty painless as far as smog checks go. read more

Saw that E Z Smog had the best rating for smog check places in Davis and my girlfriend desperately needed to get her car smogged. Just went in this afternoon and they guys that worked there were extremely friendly and nice. Service was fast and thorough and I even ended up staying an extra few minutes talking about my recent travels to Europe (brought on by the shirt I happened to be wearing). Definitely recommended, I will take any future car here. Much better than Speedee which I will never go to again! read more

They were great, took my old 94 pickup truck in and everything went smoothly -- in and out quickly. And their price even includes the $8.25 certification fee and $1.75 electronic transfer fee that other people do not tell you about -- try to act like their prices are lower, and then spring that extra $10 on you at the end. With EZ Smog you get good price and great service, but make sure to print out the coupon from their website before hand, that will save you some $. read more

If you dont own a Prius like the rest of Davis and still have to smog your car every two years, this is the best place to get it done. Customer service is excellent and service was swift with optimal service appointments. Thanks Davis EZ Smog. read more

I was having trouble finding a place to get my car smogged because I had class or lab until after all the shops in Davis closed. One phone call to these guys and they were happy to stay open late for me, got me in and out in about fifteen minutes, and even understood when I didn't have the right paperwork with me. $75, but there are $25 off coupons floating around that they sometimes give out to customers to encourage their friends to come. I have been going to EZ Smog for years, and have always had excellent service. Today topped the cake! I was sure I was going to have to retire my car. I came back a couple of hours later for a FREE retest, and PASSED! AND, the quick fix only cost me $8! I would highly recommend EZ smog! read more
