A small, family run place to stop in for a quick bite or for takeout orders. The rice dishes, noodles and soups are very good. Many of the chicken or beef dishes can get a little hit or miss with flavor and/or cuts of meat. Always very friendly and fast service. read more

HOLY CRAP! Have my wishes been answered? A chinese restaurant with REAL vegetarian options (i.e. fake meat) just a few miles from where I live!! Yes it is true. I nearly wrecked my car when I saw "VEGETARIAN" on the sign outside. Its only been open a month and I've eaten here three times already. I am glad I waited to review it - my first experience was EH, but they had opened earlier in the week. They have a full chinese menu on one side, and a smaller vegetarian section on the back. CHEAP lunch and dinner specials, and a good 15 or so things to choose from on the vegetarian menu. This is more than awesome for me. I like the mock pork (ham as they call it) fried rice, and the mock beef and broccoli. Their wonton soup is also good, but the broth seems a little bland. The fake chicken dishes are ok, but I've had way better elsewhere. Overall - I would normally have to drive to Philadelphia to have such food, so to have it within 5 miles of my front door is a welcomed surprise. I can only hope this place thrives, the vegetarians start patronizing this place and the restaurant expand their menu. I'd love to see mock shrimp eventually. I would make this 4 1/2 stars if I could. read more

The orange chicken was inedible, sorry to say. It was extremely overcooked and hard. The ribs had an unnatural red goo on it and a few of the 5 ribs were too tough to chew. I am sad about this as I recently moved here and would love a good Chinese meal frequently. read more

E- Yuan is by far the best for Chinese food for our family. Any time we are in the area, we won't pass up the opportunity to grab our "go to" dishes! Moo shu chicken, egg drop soup, chicken egg foo young, chicken and broccoli, chicken lo mein, wonton soup, crab rangoons. We have had moo shu chicken at other places and it tends to have an "ashtray" taste....definitely NOT the issue here! Their food has always been spot on and when our neighborhood restaurant won't cut it, we will make the trip. read more

Not bad for Elizabethtown PA. Very good food and affordable. The customer service was very good. There are only three good restaurants past Lancaster- Pizzatown, Panda Buffet, and E-yuan. My parents treated us to a restaurant named TJ Rockwells. The food was fine but the prices were ridiculous, and the place was packed! We stopped at a restaurant named Ella's Place. The food was fine, but the price stated on their web page cost was $5 more plus ST! There isn't much west of Lancaster, but there are only three places that are affordable and good (Pizzatown, Panda Buffet, and E-yuan.) read more

We tried this for the first time so we got an order to go, qt of hot and sour soup, fried potstickers, and Ta-chan chicken. We tried the potstickers there sitting at 1 of the tables looking out to the main drag area. The potstickes were good so we order 4 more orders to go. They travel well, keep in the frig for days. Plastic shields are still in place to keep the customer from the employees. Parking is on the street at meters, 10 cents for an hour! read more

Basically, my roommate (Mr. Kurt I.) pointed this place out to me when it was new in town, and since then, we've become regulars. It's really great to have a so many options at a chinese restaurant for a vegan or vegetarian, with the front page of their menu being your standard chinese place fare, and the back being all the vegetarian/vegan stuff. Lots o lunch and dinner specials, decent prices, and the food is pretty darn good. I'm partial to the mock beef and broccoli, or the mock sesame chicken. I recently discovered the "ham" lo mein is delicious. They always know my order as soon as I walk in the door ("You ordered the vegetarian, right?"). This place is pretty unusual for a small town like this, but it's wonderful to have it here...maybe other chinese places will pick up on the business they could be getting? I'm giving it 5 stars to even out Kurt's 4, so it ends up the 4.5 that he wanted. read more

E Yuan is a typical, Chinese food takeout restaurant in Elizabethtown. Prices are fair and I have yet to have a bad meal or experience. They feature the classic staples such as lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, dumplings, and so on. I have only gotten small serving sizes of dishes and its more than enough for a meal. Its a pretty huge portion. I cannot imagine what the large looks like! The only real downside to E Yuan is its lack of delivery service. Hire a delivery boy so I can get an egg roll brought to my doorstep! read more

I am new to the area (coming from Northern California), and I have to say I was skeptical, but this place is GREAT! Mix ethical food places always give me a bit of a pause, but we decided to get pick-up from here tonight, and we were NOT disappointed! While I wouldn't call their Thai dishes exactly authentic, they were VERY CLOSE to what I am used to, lots of flavor, heat, plenty of curry sauce, and they do NOT skimp on meat and veggies! I was unusually not able to finish my single green curry chicken meal because there was just too much food! I am absolutely looking forward to having plenty of leftovers tomorrow. We also ordered the crab rangoon, which was also crispy and delicious. We had 4 other Chinese dishes which were also LOADED with meat and veggies! House special (combo) lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, General Ching's chicken, and the Thai Kee Mao with chicken. We were all stuffed to the gills cause we could not stop nibbling, and again, TONS of leftovers for tomorrow! This place absolutely deserves more respect (stars) than it has received so far. I'm really not sure about some of the "ham" comments I have read, but the combo lo mein had authentic PORK Char Siu, and it was loaded with flavor and all the right spices. The fried rice and beef broccoli was flavorless, with the broccoli especially looking as though it had seen better days. But the General Tso's "Chicken" was actually inedible. I have no idea what kind of meat they were using that made a chicken look like a sausage. My mom cut into one and the contents alone dissuaded us from eating any more. The spring rolls were the only part of the meal I can say were decent. We tossed half of our $25 meal. More like E-Yuck! read more

I agree with Kurt that it is amazing that there is vegetarian food here in Etown. We LOVE getting take out from E Yuan. This place has great food and we celebrated my fiance's birthday by ordering tons of food from the vegetarian side of the menu. We love the fried dumplings and the spring rolls are great. All vegetarian. I enjoy the mock meat and think that the Triple Delight is great. Our only complaint is that you can't really sit down and eat in the restaurant (especially in the winter... too many people going in and out and it is chilly), but the food is GREAT! read more

When this place first opened, I was leery because there really isn't a decent Chinese restaurant around the area. Specifically, it seems like they all get their ingredients from the same distributor. However, after reading other reviews on Yelp, I decided to try the Vegetarian menu. I'm not a vegetarian but try to eat a wide variety of foods, the less meat the better. E Yuan's food is very good, I was pleasantly surprised at the "mock meat" and thought the Spring Rolls were crispy and delicious. I will go back there again, probably tomorrow because writing about it is making me hungry. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place PLEASE go here. I go once a week for the vegetarian meal Chicken and Broccoli. Being vegetarian, I always have trouble finding variety in chinese restaurants especially. They know my order as soon as I walk in, and ask if I want one or two. (when my girlfriend is along) But here I can have basically anything on the menu and just swap out the chicken for imitation, It's me and my girlfriends favorite place. The only downside to the place is the lack of air conditioning/heating, but we never eat there, so it's no big deal. Reccomend it! Oh and did I mention.. my mother lives in Elizabethtown, and I moved to Lebanon, and we still drive the 30 minutes into town to get it. ITS WORTH IT. read more
