The morning tour felt like a burden on all the staff except the captain, who was a sweetheart. The rest greeted you with attitude as if they were upset for having to be awake at 9am. The activities were rushed and uneventful (hardly any fish and no turtles), paddle boards tied to the boat only 15 ft which defeats the purpose and same with kayaks. No announcement for last call before they started bringing everything back in, so 2 of the 5 activities we didn't even get to do. I wished they would have mentioned a harbor fee from the get go. It's $7 per person. We did not see any whales unfortunately ( not their fault ) and the tour was kind of a dud. No music or anything. Just silent. The captain mentioned we can rebook but we would have the pay the harbor fees again. We did Pink Sails last year and that was super fun and worth it. We booked a package with snorkelling, a water trampoline, stand up paddleboarding, water slide, and sea kayak. They had coffee and snacks onboard. They were helpful in getting us snorke gear. When my daughter wanted to stop snorkelling early and went back on the boat, one of the staff looked after her and helped her get a life jacket for the slide and let her feed the fish. The water is a bit choppy for SUP so we didn't try that. Highly recommended. read more

It didn't make much sense for someone who doesn't know how to swim to get a Groupon package for scuba diving. Yet here I was trying to do so anyway. The crew was incredibly nice and patient with us. I went with 2 other friends. 1 of us chose to scuba dive, and myself and my other friend chose to just snorkel and use the water scooter. We were very nervous, but the crew never showed us any sign of annoyance. They made everything extremely beginner friendly. The boat was stocked with snacks and beverages which we appreciated. We went in late November and it wasn't too crowded on the boat. It rained on the day we originally signed up for, and so the company allowed us to switch the day free of charge to make sure we got a great experience! This review is based on E Sea Diver's Groupon: Turtle Snorkeling, Glass Kayak, and SUP Package. I pride myself on researching Yelp reviews for deals before purchasing an excursion, but for some reason I kind of bypassed it this time because there were zero reviews out there for this company. The only thing I found were the reviews at the bottom of the Groupon (not sure how much I can trust those) and the company's Facebook page. It all screamed NEW company. No Yelp page, no Trip Advisor reviews, Facebook page created in April 2017, etc. So I went ahead, trusted the little info I had and purchased because it was such a great deal for four people PLUS there was a 20% Groupon promo code, so it came to like $40 per person for a cool looking, 3 hr trip. I did some extra digging later. The phone number and address are the exact same as a parasailing company called Paradise Watersports. Their website is almost identical to the E Sea Diver site, but not linked, so they don't want you to know they're the same company maybe? If you're still reading this, google "Paradise Watersports Oahu". Click on the first Trip Advisor link. The reviews make it seem great, but the most recent reviews (from the last two months starting in May 2017 to now - July 2017) are ALL negative. They say it's a scam. Multiple cancellations for no reason. Groupon customers are bumped off to accommodate higher paying passengers. The owner only replies to one of the negative reviews. Just something about an address change, but never replies to the people who claim it's a scam. Yikes. This scared the hell out of me, so I called like 20 min after they "opened". Their page lists them open at 7 am, but some guy answered (he answered with "Paradise Watersports" btw). When I said I was looking for E Sea Diver. He put me on hold for a sec. Came back on the line (same guy). I asked him if it was the same company as Paradise Watersports and he said yes. I then proceeded to ask if I could book my Groupon for four to snorkel/kayak/paddle board. I really, truly feel like the moment I mentioned Groupon, he made a negative mental note because as soon as I said that he was like, "Can you call back later?" I was confused, you guys are open now, right? "Yeah, but this is my personal cell. Can you call back at like 9? Or like 10?" He was a little short with me. Not terribly rude like the Trip Advisor reviews, but not...pleasant. Today was my last day to cancel my deal and receive a full refund. All of this was so suspicious to me, so I just got in touch with Groupon and canceled to be safe. I am coordinating this trip with my group of 9 friends and don't want to risk wasting a day on a canceled excursion. Can you imagine the let down? I'd feel so responsible. We saw numerous humpback whales up close. What an experience! Captain Steve and Nash was terrific with the kids. Whale watching is just one of these types of adventures, you get skunked sometimes. Not on our trip! It was beautiful weather. The boat was quite spacious. We were not at full capacity. Keep in mind, it's not mandatory to wear masks on the boat. Most of us did. I was going for 4, but my husband said 2, so I averaged. We visited with four kids ages 3, 7, 8, and 9. The staff was awesome (and there was a non-boating/ staff related emergency that they handled SUPER well on our trip! Like - really impressed with the crew!!!), and 3/4 kids loved kayaking, snorkeling, the slide, trampoline, jumping off the side of the boat, etc. My husband had a great time with the activities as well. I enjoyed the cool water with just a "regular" swim and kayaking with our littlest kiddos as well. However, there were a LOT of people, and it was definitely party zone for many. Our middle son was super anxious getting in the water, and I didn't blame him. (That said, he never got in because he was so nervous.) It was really hectic getting started with activities with people hanging out on the back of the boat not getting in or out of the water. I was nervous a couple of times that a kayak or paddle board was going over people who were swimming/ snorkeling. That said, everyone was really nice - just definitely out for fun. Our kids are water safe, and we take water activities fairly seriously. (Accidents happen so fast! ) So, my 4 is because staff was awesome and the activities were fun. i was not impressed at all! I booked a 3 hour turtle snorkeling tour. I do not believe the crew ever had any intention of finding turtles! The boat went to one spot and set up activities for kayaking, paddle boards, trampoline and a slide. I am sure this was a lot of fun for those that wanted those activities but that is not what we wanted. There was no mention of turtles at all! We were allowed to snorkel as much as we wanted but there was barely any variety of fish and no turtles at all. I realize that there is no guarantee to swim with turtles but it is necessary to go to the right spots. We did not go to a reef or a cove Or where I believe locals know where the turtle population is. We were very disappointed! We did whale watching at 10am. Paid for 6 people, I would have gave them 5 stars because the crew really tried hard to look for whales & we saw over a dozen which was so amazing. The general area of the boat was clean. I took off two stars because it was a pretty crowded boat trip and the Captain did not wear a mask when briefing everyone in close proximity. He also allowed a family or 5 board & sit close to others not in their party without any mask. Second thing is one of their bathroom scared me to death. I went in & maggots were crawling out of the toilet so I ran so fast out of there. I literally have never seen that before. I was able to use a 2nd one without any problems. read more

I'm very disappointed with how this place runs their business. Their website says they depart at 5:30 and we called and spoke to someone about our reservations. We were told to come check in at 5pm but as long as we're there before 5:30, it's fine. I arrived at 5pm and the guy at the counter says "oh, we changed the time to 4:45 take off." No apologies, no customer service and just offered a refund or to go snorkeling or parasailing the following day. I didn't want the same thing to happen again and waste another day. We were never contacted about the time change via email or phone. I'm only on vacation for so many days and I hate having my time wasted. We planned our whole day around this sunset cruise to make sure we were on time, only to still be left because nobody informed us of the time change. DO NOT waste your time here! read more

Very unprofessional! Purchased this deal off Groupon as we're visiting from out of town. We called 30 minutes before we left to make sure we knew what pier to arrive at. Was told "E". When we got there via Lyft a gentleman asked if we were there for snorkeling which we answered yes. He then proceeded to talk with another couple and do some things in his car parked in front. After we stood there a good 10-15 minutes he then proceeded to tell us the boat was getting repaired and there was no guarantee we'd be able to go on our excursion. My family and I were planning for this sea life cruise all week so we made sure to schedule an appointment and confirm it. The boat was suppose to leave at 12pm and check in was 11am. The company called at 10am and said the boat was going to be super full and if we would like to reschedule and we said no. DO NOT waste your time or money. this company made zero effort to see whales on our 1.5 hour whale watching excursion. while im sure they fool many tourists by saying " we can't control nature" my brother took a ride from a different company one week prior that actually used radios to communicate with other boats to see who was seeing whales and where. e sea diver slowly trolled out to the area where we may begin seeing whales then turned around to head back, slowly trolling through the populated area of boats and people where there obviously wouldn't be whales. they ended the tour 10 min early. zero information about whales or any effort to make this a good experience for paying tourists. they know people are in the area for a limited time and won't be able to come back for the "free" ride if you don't see whales ( plus fuel which was $70 for our group.) such a sad waste of my vacation time and money and 6 disappointed kids. read more

I bought a Groupon for 2 people to go on a 2 tank scuba diving trip. We showed up at the dock at 7 am and were greeted by multiple, friendly people. There was a mistake made and we were actually supposed to go the next week! But have no fear our awesome guide said "let's go!" On a big boat it was the captain, myself, my girlfriend and our fearless leader Nacho! After a very short ride from the harbor we arrived at the sea tiger! The dive itself was incredible where we saw 3 sharks and beautiful schools of fish. After our dive we had another short but beautiful ride to our shallow reef dive. We had a snack and sat at the top of the boat. The reef dive was amazing and quite longer than the last! On our way back to the harbor we were escorted by a pod of dolphins! I just have to say the crew was amazing and I can not wait to go back diving with them! read more
