They matched our enthusiasm and made sure we got the most out of every moment in the water. The atmosphere was fun, vibrant, and full of positive energy. Aloha! My husband and I had the most amazing time on this turtle tour! We have never done anything like this so we didn't know what to expect or if we were even going to be able to snorkel, and we weren't sure we were going to be lucky enough to see any sea turtles. The travel time on the boat was very minimal, i would say about 10-15 minutes top, the ride there they gave us plenty of information about the bay we were stopping at and everyone was so helpful and informative, we quickly got confidence and we were ready! We were so lucky to have booked on a date that they had an AMAZING photographer Emma. What a treat! The photographs are a separate fee but worth every penny! Which was VERY reasonable. I highly recommend taking this tour, we truly had an amazing time and lifetime memories made!! read more

This is a must do while in Honolulu. Alex and Holly were very helpful and knowledgeable about the marine life. The tour was outstanding because of the engaging and kind crew members. From the boat ride to the instruction and experience in the water they took time to make sure we were safe and having a good time. We had a child with us and they noticed right away they weren't the strongest swimmer and made sure they had a buoy. We saw turtles and schools of fish. A large turtle came up to the surface and the crew got pictures of my kid swimming with them. Such sweet crew. Thank you! read more

AMAZINGGGG!!!!!! we loved our first time snorkeling in hawaii because of island splash tours. not only are the workers amazing ! but they are so joyful and love what the do and is so patient with the people that come! We especially loved Emma's hospitality and warmth! she's so kind and an amazing snorkeling guide! she was so good with the kids (many were scared and made sure everyone was doing okay. Our family will be coming back to island splash tour the next time we come to hawaii! PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE!!! 10/10 !!!!!!!! THE only thing i wish is taking pictures in the ocean to capture the moment and the sea life ! but the staff noted that they were working on a system where they can take pictures ! :)) read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. The crew was amazing even before the tour started. The day before amazing response time with texting and giving information and answering my endless questions. Meeting the young knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and fun crew made the tour great even before we seen a turtle. But to the actual turtle snorkeling, that was also awesome. We seen tons of turtles. We seen sea urchins that we got to hold in our hand. Nathan and Emma were great out there in the water keeping everyone safe. The dolphins gave a great show, splashing and playing in the distance and , the crew was great with offering to take pictures and making sure everyone was comfortable. Preston, we will definitely look up your company when we come back to the island and make sure to give all our friends our high recommendation ! read more

The last time I went snorkeling, it was a bit lower stakes and didn't involve us going into deeper waters, so I was a little trepidatious. Established in 2023.

Island Splash Tours is a very new boat tour business in Waikiki. All of our captains and crew are very well experienced and have been working in the boat tourism industry for over three years. Our owner, Preston, worked for a large scale snorkel company for three years, gaining experience with guiding 40 passengers around our reefs. Through this experience, he developed a passion for educating others about the reef and wanted to create a more personal atmosphere within his own company. Now, Preston is dedicated to hosting a maximum of 16 guests on his boat, allowing for a more intimate experience with the crew and the wildlife

It was quite confusing to find the meetup point at the beginning, but asking the hotel staff did help us getting there. We went on the high-tide day so needed to walk a bit from the usual boarding area. Probably helpful to remind people wearing slippers as you'd need to take shoes off. They did provide proper and plenty storage spaces for your footwear on the boat (appreciated!). Drinks were pretty much bottomless and they had their very own Mai Tai so you could really enjoy the 'complete Hawaiian package'! The only problem with high tide day, it meant be prepped to get wet and going on and off the boat would be quite tricky as you needed to manage timing to avoid the tide from getting you soaking wet. I was unfortunately not the pro and literally got half-bottom wet, getting off the boat LOL. Paid off by the gorgeous sunset view!!

The beach itself features iconic views of the twin Mokulua Islands. On a clear day you can actually see the sandy beaches on Mokulua Islands. The popular Lanikai Pillbox Hike sits right above the neighborhood for amazing panoramic coastal views. Please note: zero amenities exist directly at the beach (no public restrooms, showers, lifeguards, or trash cans). Fortunately, some of the locals have placed trash bins near the beach entry ways. Parking is easily accessible if you don't mind walking. Parking directly on Mokulua Drive and Aalapapa Drive is permanently banned. Visitors typically park at Kailua Beach Park (about 0.8 miles away) and walk or bike over. We found parking on a side road a few blocks away (didn't get towed) and we stayed for several hours.

The excursion was wonderful and the right amount of time. Super friendly crew- 3 people. The boat was really nice and everyone had plenty of space. The snorkeling equipment was new and I never had an issue with water coming into my goggle area. It was a short 10 minute boat ride to the snorkeling site. Emma, who led the snorkelers, loved snorkeling and the sea life, and took time to explain everything and get us to exactly where the turtles were. She borrowed a camera from one of the snorkelers and dove 20+ feet to get an incredible minute long video of the turtles. We then got an airdrop from her and all went home with an incredible video. Besides the 5 turtles we saw at the first area, we saw 2 - 3 more as we floated around the coral. Several of these 30 - 90 year old turtles swam gracefully to the top to get some air as we watched them in awe. They were beautiful for sure. Along with the turtles, there were various classic fish along with a tiny eel that we happened to catch sight of. After spending 40 or so minutes in the water, we returned to the boat and went back to the pier. Everyone was super nice and we all had a great time! read more

I had a wonderful time snorkeling. Captain Preston and Kris our snorkel guide were both amazing, knowledgeable, safety conscious, and respectful to the wildlife. They made sure we had everything we needed and explained the rules and regulations of the marine sanctuary. They also shared interesting facts and stories about the dolphins, turtles, fish, and coral we saw. The highlight of the tour was seeing two different dolphin pods on our way to the reef along with getting to see all the sea turtles. The dolphins were sleeping and swimming around our boat. It was an unforgettable experience. The reef itself was beautiful and full of life. We saw colorful fish, sea urchins, and even an eel. Kris pointed out different species and gave us tips on how to spot them. Kris also took great photos of us and the underwater scenery. I highly recommend this snorkeling tour to anyone who loves nature and adventure. It was one of the best things I did in Hawaii. If you're looking for an incredible snorkeling experience, look no further than Island Splash Tours! I had the most amazing time with them. As someone who had never snorkeled before and hadn't swum in years, I was really nervous when I first got into the water. Despite wearing a life jacket, I felt anxious and feared I might drown. Captain Alex was incredibly kind and patient. He helped me get comfortable by practicing floating while holding onto the boat's ladder. Then, he provided me with a buoy to hold onto while snorkeling, which made a world of difference. Emma and Benny were also in the water with us, not only to guide us to the turtles and fish but also to offer support if needed. Their presence gave me so much confidence. This snorkel adventure was the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. It was so nice we even did it twice while we were there. The crew was young and vibrant and so full of knowledge. They knew just about everything about the reef and the wildlife that surrounds it. Tour guides Emma, Nate, and Holly got us right on top of the turtles both times we went. And Captain Preston was amazing. Our first trip turned into a whale watching adventure when a whale started breaking while we were in the water. Preston was able to put us right alongside the whale for some amazing sightseeing. On our second trip we took my mother who really wanted to see some Dolphins. And sure enough Captain Preston but us right on top of some Dolphins and even got a few to swim in our wake. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to everyone staying on the island of Oahu! read more

Preston and Chris were amazing!!! We had a little difficulty arriving at their spot but Preston was very patient. The boat is a perfect size for a party of six. it was very clean and well kept. All the gear was in top condition; snorkel, masks, and fins. We were in the water and in no time we saw a turtle. By the end of our time in the water we saw three turtles in all. Chris was in the water with us and she narrated and shared all kinds of information about the reef, fish, turtles, etc. She did a wonderful job at being our snorkeling host. Once back on the boat, Preston and Chris still shared facts about Hawaii and took amazing care of us. This snorkel trip was amazing and priced well. My husband and I came last minute to snorkel and we loved it! When we went it was windy and cloudy but it didn't affect our experience so go do it even if it rains some! Small group of us went (max 6 people) which was so nice so we can hear the important parts of our trip and not fighting people to get into the water & snorkel with turtles. Our tour guides were Alex and Preston they are so nice and thoughtful it also felt nice knowing they kept an eye on us and tell us about all the different sea life was present. They provide you with the snorkel gear so that was super convenient. We seen momma and baby whale, manta Rey, turtles, fishes ofcourse and an eel. Fantastic tour and the whole family had an unforgettable time. My husband and I took our 3 kids (14, 13, 9) and 2 other family members on this tour and we all had a great time. The guides were attentive, knowledgeable, and super friendly. We were able to see a lot of turtles, big and small, and they were so good about explaining what was happening and teaching us all about the sea life. They had unlimited soda and juice, made sure we were comfortable, and were great at keeping everyone engaged. We loved that although there were other families on the boat, they keep it at a small number compared to some other tours so it feels more intimate. The amount of time on the water was perfect. We saw so many animals throughout the tour and I can see why they call the snorkel spot Turtle Canyons! We saw so many turtles and even a tako (octopus)! On the way out we even got lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins swim right by the boat! Got some amazing photos with my GoPro when snorkeling and the crew were very friendly and knowledgeable! Look for no further, book this experience! My friends booked this tour last minute and enjoyed it so much they recommended it to me. The crew is so nice and knowledgeable, and we got to see dolphins swim by the boat, snorkeled with turtles, and tons of fish. The experience books up to 15 people but we only had 4 of us in the water and no other tour groups were with us so we had a very enjoyable experience. I booked the 11 AM, which I heard is the best time. Keep it mind, it depends on how clear the water is that day to see all of the wildlife but you will for sure see a turtle, as they come up to the surface to breathe. The early morning Turtle Snorkel Tour was phenomenal! If you are looking to support a small, local business, this is the place. We saw dolphins on our way to the snorkel site and they came right up to the boat. We also saw a rainbow from the boat while we were parked at Turtle Canyons- there were so many turtles that were very active. The staff at Island Splash is so welcoming and emphasize the Aloha Spirit! One of the best snorkeling experiences Ive ever had. Chris and Preston were so welcoming and did their best to interact with us. My friends and I went with Chris to snorkel around and she was very knowledgeable about the ocean life and evosystem. We even saw upwards of five turtles and I would love to go again. They even went out of their way after our dive to show us more of the south shore on the boat. This was my first time on a boat and I had the best time snorkeling with the fish and turtles. Kris and Preston were amazing guides. We were given snorkels and fins, along with a life jacket for our safety. Kris snorkeled with us around turtle canyon and shared knowledgeable information about the different marine animals. She even let us hold a sea urchin! We saw at least five turtles and plenty of fish during the tour. I highly recommend checking Island Splash Tours. Amazing trip. This small local company goes above and beyond to make your day incredible. Upon arriving to the boat, they warmly greeted us and helped us on board. Explained snorkeling, the fish and turtles and went over boat procedures. I felt very safe, and they were so funny!! They included gear and lifejackets if necessary.
