Five tiger sharks. FIVE. I spent the last month psyching myself up to maybe, hopefully, catch a glimpse of one tiger shark. We got five. I'm still not over it. What made this trip though wasn't just the sharks, it was the crew. Finn, Nika, Tyler, and Lochlan are the real deal. I've done plenty of excursions where the guides are clearly clocking in and counting down to the end of the shift. This was the opposite. When that fifth tiger came through, these four looked like kids in a candy shop. They were losing it right alongside us, because apparently five in one dive is extremely rare. You cannot fake that kind of enthusiasm, and it made the whole day about ten times better. They also know exactly what they're doing. Big animals, open water, and at no point did I feel anything but completely safe. The briefing was thorough, the in-water guidance was calm and clear, and it was obvious this crew has deep respect for the sharks and total command of the situation. We went out with Deep Blue twice on our trip, once for snorkeling and once for free swimming with sharks, and both were great experiences. Actually, we had originally only planned the snorkel, but it was such a great experience that we booked the shark swim for later in our trip so we could do both. For our snorkel we had an incredible experience seeing dozens of spinner dolphins bow riding our boat on our way out of the harbor - it was such an incredible experience! They took us out to a small rocky island out near Waimea Bay and we got to see lots of fish, coral, and follow a turtle for a little bit. Everyone in our party snorkeled, but our daughter was interested in also diving. Our guide Dallas was great with her - teaching her all the tips and tricks to help her dive down in her snorkel gear. He also retrieved some really pretty shells that he gave to us. The shark swim was really neat - I love that they offer the opportunity for a group to have some people who want to swim and others who want to stay dry on the boat. It's definitely rougher water but they knew exactly where to go and what to do to responsibly call for the sharks and we got to see a lot of them! Our daughter did the swim and had a great experience. The team was extremely skilled and did a great job ensuring a responsible and fun experience for all. We'd definitely recommend them for charters out of Haleiwa! read more

This was such a bucket list experience and I got to do it in the most respectful and beautiful way with this crew. The crew that we were given the opportunity to dive with was Sierra, Parker, and Zach. I was super nervous and they were super helpful and understanding. Sierra was my angel in the water, she held my hand, it felt like nothing could hurt me. Parker was super understanding and kind while guiding us through the photo opportunities and Zach chatted with me and made sure I knew everything was going to be okay. We were also lucky enough to see a turtle and some spinner dolphins on the way to our dive site. I wish I had pictures to share but I was living so much in the moment that all I have are the amazing memories. The feeling of being surrounded by these creatures in open water was unlike anything I've ever experienced before in my life. The crew was kind and knowledgeable. Especially Finn! He was a great guide and did an excellent job at showing us the perfect spot for viewing sharks and keeping us safe. I recently had the most incredible experience with Deep Blue Eco Tours on their shark diving adventure! From start to finish, the team was outstanding. They were not only knowledgeable but also fantastic at easing any anxieties we had about diving with these magnificent creatures. The brief educational session on shark safety was both informative and reassuring, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience. Fins and masks/snorkel are provided but I appreciated that I could bring my own if I wanted. The ride to the dive site was a bit choppy, but the excitement of what was to come made it totally worth it! Once we were in the water, seeing the sharks up close was breathtaking. The staff ensured our safety while allowing us to appreciate these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. I can't recommend Deep Blue Eco Tours enough--this was an unforgettable adventure, and I can't wait to do it again! Don't waste your money here. When we were at the harbor and another boat company asked if we were with them and we said "no, we're with deep blue eco tour" and they said "that's unfortunate" and how right they were. I will never go back to this tour. To preface I work in customer service which is why this tour was so disappointing. The crew was bland and not fun and ultimately not personable. The captain was outright rude, her name was Madison and she was just rude to everyone on the boat. She also brought her boyfriend out and it was so unprofessional and uncomfortable, he decided to touch the sharks as well? Would have loved to been able to do that had I known this was allowed. There were 6 of us on the trip and 2 others were there for their own content which is fine however they took up SO much space and ended up being in all of the pictures that everyone else was taking. It was disappointing that the crew couldn't say "can you stay over there" or "we're gunna take pictures" there's so much space where the sharks were however this influencer decided to take up every single space where a shark decided to swim. Also considering he said that this was his 7th or 8th shark tour dive. We bought the photo package and they didn't come within 5-7 days.. and they were average. Loved deep blue. I've been on the tour twice now and both times we saw so many sharks and I felt super safe with the crew. They were kind and on it making sure that they were getting between us and the sharks. I also got some really great photos from Meg. My daughter and I took a group boat snorkeling trip with Deep Blue. The crew overall are very knowledgeable and friendly. I took a Dramamine but still got sea sick. The water is very rough. So rough that I even got sick while in the water. I am not the strongest swimmer but I have snorkeled before. The boat stopped very far from where the turtles were about an Olympic pool size away. It was very extra tough to swim while feeling sick but they said it would get better in the water. So I tried my best. It was confusing because they said they would help by towing you out there on a board and sounded so pleasant about it. However, when I was really struggling the girl helping me seemed annoyed and just kept asking me if I could swim on my own yet or to float. When there was a turtle everyone went over to that turtle and then it was all just too crowded. Someone grabbed my butt too. I ended up going back on the boat early because I wasn't feeling good. Many coming back on board were sick and lots of Sprite was consumed. The last time I was in Hawaii the boat dropped us right we're we were supposed to snorkel. No swimming long distances and the water wasn't as rough. There were other boats much closer to the snorkeling site. I hate to say it but this was the least favorite part of our trip. I also discovered later in our trip that there is a beach where you can just go snorkeling and see turtles without going on a boat. I will be doing that on our next visit. read more

I had a really great time on their shark tour. We had two Galapagos sharks that where beautiful to see. The crew was very nice and answered all your questions. They provided high quality mask and snorkels as well as fins. Don't be afraid if you get sea sick! I think half of the people on the boat were prone to seasickness but the crew truly handled it like pros. The boat ride itself was only about 15min out which I appreciate, because it gives you as much time as possible with the animals. I also loved the start time! We started at 8am where as other tours have either 7am or 9am which to me seems to early and too late so 8 was the perfect time. It's only a 40min drive from Honolulu in the morning so you have plenty of time to get ready. My only con was that I wish they would have given us some pointers on how to pose or dive for the photos. The add on for the pictures is pretty hefty so I wish I would have gotten the extra explanation to make the most out of the price. The photos themselves are very high quality and we're edited well and similar to the ones on their insta page. read more

I took my daughter and her boyfriend and his brother on a beautiful late October morning. The water was calm and warm. The three person crew was very knowledgeable and safe. We were about three miles offshore and saw four different species of shark. There was one 12' tiger shark that was really curious about our group, but the three person crew kept us safe. The crew photographer was able position us to get a TON of amazing photos. You don't have to be an experienced diver to have an amazing experience. Go for it. It was so worth it!! read more
