This place is super chill and comfortable. It was very clean and inviting. We had the chicken wings as an app and they came out piping hot. I added a little lemon but they were good. My hubs and I got the Tonkotsu Ramen black which has garlic oil in it. My daughter got the Tokyo Ramen. All of us finished our bowls. Everything was really good and this will be our go to ramen spot when I'm South Sac!! Our waitress explained that they are fairly new and she was so sweet! We will be back!

The food was exquisite! Everything we ordered was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the meal. We tried the tonkotsu red ramen, cold ramen, karaage, and seaweed salad, and everything hit the spot! The broth was perfect when it arrived--hot enough to enjoy right away without burning your mouth, and packed with flavor. The karaage was so tender and practically melted in my mouth. Absolutely delicious! The restaurant itself was clean and peaceful, and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Nakumiso was great! It mixed well with the toppings. The egg was well prepared perfectly! The only downside is the location, as the area can get pretty congested with traffic. However, don't let that stop you! If you're craving good ramen, this place is definitely worth the drive. Highly recommend!

Pretty good ramen spot with a variety of hot and cold ramen. It's also open until 11pm unlike most ramen places so it could make for a good late night spot. Our server was very friendly and the food came out quick. All the tables were booths so it was comfortable. The cold noodle wasn't bad. I probably wouldn't get it again since I prefer hot ramen with broth, but I wanted to try something different.

From the outside, this place doesn't necessarily stand out. However, as soon as you walk in, the cleanliness, beautiful wooden accents, relaxing Japanese music, and beautiful dim lighting is very inviting and pleasant to be around. The menu is easy to read/understand, and staff are friendly :) we did take out this time but definitely wanting to come back for a dine in experience! At the front they even sell exclusive Japanese keychains of mini ramen bowls and tiny keychain flasks that are super cute. We got a katsu don and a katsu curry rice. Both were soooo good and were very generous portion sizes! Can't wait to come back and try their ramen :))

Very good food. Came out quickly and the service was very good. Server was very nice and made sure my partner and I were well taken care of. The ambiance was quiet and relaxed. There was pokémon playing on the TV. There was no one else there which tells me the place is underrated. Highly recommend.

This place is really new, spacious, and welcoming! I've been here about three times now and every time I visit, I've been extremely satisfied. The staffs here are so kind, genuine, and always willing to help whenever we need anything. That's what I call excellent customer service! I really hope this place continues to grow and become even more popular in the future. They definitely deserve it!

Food was good!! Quality and the amount of food served were just enough plus the price were very considerate. We also got discount because it's their 'soft opening'. Service was great!! 2 ladies served us and very attentive. They also checked on us if everything is okay or if we need water. *This restaurant is family owned. And every one of them were friendly. These staff are perfect for this job. We met the owner also. Ambiance was great also. The place is very clean. This restaurant is recommendable and we'll tell this to our friends and family. We will go back here for sure!

Honestly. New facility everything is so clean. Ramen is SO delicious. I really need a nap after I eat it, but it's one of the best meals after a long day of work. Thank you for coming next to my house.

True to size serving and the broth is just right on creaminess and taste - definitely check them out!

I came in as soon as it opened, and had the little place for myself. I got a mild red tonkotsu ramen which was not at all spicy. I have had ramen from other locations that were medium and too spicy to even enjoy. The ramen was delicious. I got gyoza as well, which was nice a hot. All delicious and the staff was very friendly

The broth is HOT so beware, but I think that's what made the dish 10x better. You know it's going to be good when they're yelling at one another in the kitchen. Flavor was there and the only way I can describe it is a light, umami, earthy flavor. I was happy with the service and hospitality. My server was so sweet and she even gave me a little keychain!

The broth is flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. The white tonkotsu is also very good if you're in the mood for something richer and creamier. Definitely don't skip the geso either! It's delicious and one of our favorite things to order alongside the ramen. Alternatively, if you're not in the mood for noodles, they have an excellent Tonkatsu Donburi. Ryujin can get pretty crowded around dinner, especially on colder nights when everyone seems to have the same idea, so I'd recommend planning accordingly and being prepared for a possible wait. It's worth it, though! Great ramen, authentic flavors, and a spot we're always happy to come back to.

This had the perfect balance of sweetness. It was light and refreshing and balanced the rest of the flavors of the meal. I started with the seaweed salad. It was a solid seaweed salad. Good seasoning and texture. It was a good portion size as well. Melissa and Jonathan had the gyoza. They were stuffed full of meat, but I felt like the seasoning was a little less than and also they were unevenly cooked. I still tried one though because a gyoza is a gyoza. As my main, I had the karamiso ramen with a spicy miso based broth with seasoned ground chicken, veggies and chili threads for an extra kick. I enjoyed this bowl of ramen. It was the perfect level of spice. I am partial to ground meat in ramen, so I liked that this was an option. The veggies were cooked al dente which I appreciated, and the broth was filling and flavorful. The noodles were thin which is my favorite type. Attentive service here. OUr water cups were always filled no matter how hot the ramen was. Solid meal here.

Pretty basic order and not very adventurous, but in all honesty the food was okay. It doesn't take much to please me but Kodaiko didn't really hit for me. The tonkotsu was oddly sour and unlike tonkotsu ramen i've had. The kaarage was decent in itself, but it did come with lemon zest over the top that i personally didn't enjoy too much. I think the star of the show in my visit was the chicken katsu, super basic but was the only thing we ordered that felt like it was executed well. Overall I'd comeback to adventure through the menu, especially for the katsu sandwich, but maybe a 5 is too generous of a rating.

I got the black ramen garlic which came with the usual toppings: roasted pork chashu , corn, green onions, bean sprouts, soft boiled egg, bamboo shoots, and actual fried garlic. The whole garlic cloves were plentiful and so much flavor. The description says fried, but they are so buttery soft, they taste more like they've been roasted or baked in the oven. I will 100/100 always order this ramen. Very flavorful broth. My husband got the chicken ramen, which I tasted, and it too had a flavorful broth. You choose your spicy level. I got medium which was basically mild. The portion and price make this a great deal for a quick dinner in Midtown. I love the late hours and the speed of which our food came out. We ordered the geso (fried squid) and the veggie tempura. I do not recommend the tempura. The batter was thick like carnival onion rings. They need to use panko for breading. The geso was ok, and served with an aioli sauce. Stick with the ramen. No need to waste stomach space on their appetizers. The right half of the restaurant is for Ramen 101, and the other side is for Orchid Thai. You order at the counter and get a number, find a seat. The servers came around and checked on us and helped us with any requests. The nice ambiance from the Thai side carried over to the Ramen side, but both casual. We opted for the Japanese cauliflower curried soup, the black cod special, the king Roll, the watermelon and mint salad and the shrimp and corn dumpling. Every single dish was FIRE!!! The flavors were delicate and nuanced and perfectly balanced. Even the frisée lettuce on the watermelon and mint salad was a flavor explosion. We found ourselves drinking the sauce out of the bowl from the shrimp and corn dumpling. The croutons in the curried cauliflower soup were crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. The black cod was the texture of a scallop and the squash purée set it off just right. The king Roll was a marvel to see and absolutely a delight to eat. I loved that little hint of lemon that accented the crab and lobster flavors. 1000% recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys really damn good food.
