She bleached and toned my hair to a nice beige like I wanted. Although $280 is a lot for me to spend, it looked great when I left the salon. Nicole said to think of it as an "INVESTMENT". Nine days later the pretty beige turned back to brassy orangy blonde after 2 washes - just like temporary color does. When I messaged Nicole she told me that their salon only gives a ONE WEEK guarantee. I wish I would have known that going in; I would have gone to a reputable salon.

Better yet, tell me before you start that it's gonna be an extra $50-100. And my hair isn't crazy long or anything to account for a huge up-charge). Anyway, when it was done I had to do a slow-motion video which (as an introvert) felt embarrassing and unwelcome. I didn't feel like I could say no, though. And then I was told "you shouldn't spend all this money on your hair and not get the right shampoo so you better get this shampoo" but how much $$$ is it? Couldn't be that much, right? The bottles are tiny and there was no price on them. One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when they try to sell you products at the salon and make you feel like you're poor and gross if you don't. So I left spending nearly twice what I'd expected to and feeling bad about myself because I was told by the stylist that I don't get my hair done "often enough" and it was in "bad shape". Is this the way they justify charging more money? Act like your hair is messed up and they fixed it for you? Honestly my hair had a few split ends but no other issues. Besides, for some of us, hair isn't life or our career. Hair is just one small thing we deal with and try to take care of when we have time and money to. This was two years ago and I'm just posting this review now because I finally got the courage up to get another balayage done at another salon that I've been going to ever since. It was such a positive experience, it reminded me of how sad I felt after leaving Fusions and having to explain to my husband how the price basically doubled from what I told him it would be. So even though Fusions is geographically the closest salon to me, I will continue to drive well out of my way to go elsewhere. Bummer.
