Honestly the first time I went to them I had the best experience but I can't say the same for the second. I got a pedicure and wanted French. The lady kept shaking and when she asked me if it looked fine I told her how about we do a solid color because of how sloppy and childish it looked. So we did and I asked for red with a few diamonds. BAD IDEA! Both big toes look horrible it was sloppy and rushed. I paid and looked at them in my car and just had to get them to fix it because it was just terrible. So they agreed to fix it,again rushed and sloppy all this for 95$. Will be the last time I give them my money. They didn't even have many clients in so I don't know why it was rushed. read more

Terrible customer service. Sat up front for 15 mins before anyone came to talk to me about what services I wanted. Then another 15 mins goes by and still not in back yet getting nails done. One customer had her 4 kids with her in the waiting area, all under 10 years old and all misbehaving. She spent the entire time i was waiting yelling at them. Not a very tranquil environment. I received a gift card from here, and finally made the time to go get a pedicure that I badly needed. I called them and asked what time they closed and they told me 7 PM I asked if they were busy and they told me no. So, I jumped in my car and drove 15 minutes to get there very quickly, got there at 6:25 and they told me that they couldn't take me. I asked them why they couldn't tell me that on the telephone when I called them but they didn't have an answer for me. I stormed out of there very unhappy! That is very poor customer service!! I am not one of those people who go in places at the very last minute, I do have more compassion than that! But, I was there 30 minutes before closing and I called first! If I didn't have this gift card I would not return! Ya'll really need to do better than that!! read more

First and foremost the atmosphere is very calming. Absolutely no fluorescent lighting. Friendly place with plenty of techs. I was very pleased with my "Deluxe Pedicure" $(40) ... there are 4 to choose from. Short (not sure that's his real name [funny guy]), did a great job. Definitely worth the mile walk to the salon. I had such a great experience at this nail salon! I went in with some issues in my nail shape and lifting from the previous salon I visited. I was promptly greeted by the owner, so friendly! As soon as I sat down I was offered a complimentary beverage (wine, soda, water, tea, coffee, etc). I then got to pick either my gel or regular nail polish from painted swatches. This is so helpful, as I hate having to pick from a bottle. The color can be wayyy off. Yew (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) took his time and fixed the mess I came in with. He was very personable and professional and my nails ended up exactly how I wanted them. He checked in with me the whole time to make sure the shape, etc was all what I wanted. Took my mom here for a pedicure recently and left happy. Everything was clean, people were kind and professional. Prices were standard. They were able to accommodate us as walk Ins on a Saturday afternoon and we were able to sit together. The place was constantly full but no one seemed to have to wait long to get served. read more

Dissatisfied. I called to confirm they were able to do creative nail art and said it several times when arrived. "Who would be the best person for nail art?" I was seated with a tech (Fong) that was super fast; however when I showed him the picture he quickly painted nails and had another tech try to do the nail art. She was also incapable. I have been to shops where they immediately see picture and say NO we are unable to do that. This shop took my money and was not worried that I was not happy. In the midst of her trying, I just told her that is not what the picture is (frustrated) and I just wanted something so I could quickly exit the nail shop. She didn't even want to clean my nails from dust after the bland design (Rushing to her next client). If you are looking for a basic pedi and wine/beer this could possibly be your spot. They didn't care that I vocally said I was not pleased. Still charged a ridiculous price and told me the person that did my nails before spoiled me because her designs were amazing. This is the most relaxing nail spa that I have been to. Won't go anywhere else. The staff is friendly and super polite.

I decided to check this place out after reviewing the reviews online. I thought it would be a good place to take my mother for Mother's Day. The place was clean and looked pretty. However, we were not greeted upon arrival. The staff just kind of looked at us and after 10 minutes, we were called to the back. Others around us were asked if they would like something to drink, my mother and I were not. My mother and I got a pedicure. It was so so. Nothing out of the ordinary. I paid the lady who did my pedicure and my mother and I proceeded to leave. Halfway to our car, another lady runs out and asks me if I had paid. I've never felt so embarrassed and profiled in my life. I will not be returning to this establishment again and I will be sure to tell others about my experience. read more

This was my 3rd visit and I've brought my daughter for service here twice. The first time was excellent service and skill for our manicures and pedicures. The second time, I got a new set and the guy argued about the shape I wanted looking better on longer nails even after I told him that I like my nails medium-short. He still left them a bit longer than I wanted but I let him so that's on me I guess. When I returned for a fill the lady cut my nails too short so I had to do another full set. $$$ Then after asking her to fix one nail out of ten she starts speaking in her language to herself. Very rude customer service! I had to return the next day because a nail had a bubble in the paint. The owner acted as if my return was an inconvenience to him when the customer is more inconvenienced having to return. No apology or anything. I was hoping to make this my home salon but not to be. I also have witnessed many customers being offered beverages during their service. However my daughter and I were never offered anything. Terrible service! Wish I could give less than one star. Went in on a Saturday, and got a full set. Totally rushed me out. Before I left I had to ask for another top coat because it was smugged and this was a gel set. Two days later I notice all of the nails were cracking across the middle. By day three, 4 nails had popped off. Went back in to get them fixed, they rushed again, plus they only fixed the broken nails, but the entire service was rushed and so I knew they were all badly done. The next day after they "fixed them" another nail broke! Totally wasted my money on fresh full set that only lasted 4days. Telling everyone I can, not to go here. Used to love this place but now I won't be returning. The staff is not experienced in doing the basic shapes requested for nails and I became used to a tech who was the most experienced so that's the only reason I ever still went to this establishment. Today I go, I wanted a coffin shape, even showed a photo and asked if they had someone since I found out when I got there that my old tech left and since I hadn't been back since her departure I didn't know. They gave me a gentleman who had an attitude from the beginning (I'm assuming they told him about my shape request and he did not feel up to doing it or maybe he was on break and got interrupted? i don't know, he just came already bothered) I showed him the photo and told him the shape I wanted then after he applied the tips I looked them over and saw they weren't good but two in particular were terribly different. I told him the issue with my shape right away, before acrylic/filing etc was put on because if the foundation is bad the entire set will be. The tech began to show his attitude and even though I had one skinny middle finger nail and one wide middle finger nail he acted as if he didn't understand what was wrong with it since they were different hands. I gave up trying to explain when he rolled his eyes for the 3rd time. I told the tech to take the tips off because he seems unhappy working with me and I'm unhappy working with him, I rather leave. I then went to tell the front desk attendant that I appreciate their business in the past but I will no longer be returning or recommending their shop. I had lots of good experiences and that was just ridiculous if you don't have the staff to complete a service that I showed you a photo of then tell the customer so they can find someone else!!! I would give two star just from past experiences but honestly without my old nail tech the salon really only can do basic stuff. They need more training!!! If you want a basic square shape with a basic color, this is your place hahaha. read more

Had a regular pedicure and it was wonderful. It was a little bit of a wait to do my service since I was a walk in but while I waited I got to soak my feet while sitting in a massage chair, enjoying a free glass of wine. We are never coming here again because they painted on the cuticle and painted on the skin and didn't fix it after constantly saying to fix it and they tried to overcharge for a kid you can see clumps of nail polish on the nails and can see the streaks on the nails, glitter on a nail is not a design!!!!!! Also this is the worst,a lady said to my kid "Only black people get long nails you don't need long nails" that is so racist and especially to a KID!!!!!!!! Never again. First time there. Ok. Went last week in the morning. One customer being served and several workers sitting around. I was assigned to a man whom it appeared was either new to doing nails or new to the salon. He didn't speak english beyond "honey" and "wash". The pedicure was ok except he did not smooth my feet like all others have done. My feet are in good shape it wouldn't have taken much for him to smooth them. The manicure was a train wreck. My nails aren't long but are healthy. He cut the first one flat across the top without asking, then showed me with a look like "OK?" Well I guess so at this point, i want them to match. He butchered them all short and flat across the tops. Since then they have broken on some of the edges which is totally understandable. I paid cash and didn't realize until after I left I did not get the cash discount. Never again. read more

Enjoyed this salon. A few things to know. Pay in cash or you are charged 4% for using a credit card. Tips are cash only. Staff are super friendly and competent. You can have an adult beverage if you want too. I only wish they would not allow people to use their phone without ear buds. We got the Volcano Pedicure.) and everything was clean and well decorated (even the bathroom!) and the staff was very friendly! I'd give them a 0 if I could. Do not patronize this place. My 45 min classic spa pedicure was rushed. My toe nails are all different shapes and sizes. They were not buffed before polishing. Filing grains were in my nail polish, my toes were clipped each time I told her they weren't even. She didn't clean under my nails until I asked. She didn't lotion or oil my feet afterwards. When mentioned not being satified to the owner, she rudely said oh sorry and walked off. When I was paying and had questions for the tech, she kept saying ai-yi-yi, each time and then proceeded to get loud. I politely asked her to lower her voice because I can get loud too. Got a 40 minute pedicure and foot massage by Tu who I will definitely be going back to see. Came here for a pedicure based on high recommendations with my sister and mother and quickly formed our own opinions. I had to ask for hot water in my foot bath 3 times and it was consistently cold. Then, my Mother and I were having a conversation and an employee working 3 chairs down loudly called me a "nerd" based on overhearing our conversation. When asked about it, he said it was a joke and that he "jokes around with the customers." The manager offered an "I'm sorry about that" and said nothing else. E Nails and Spa is by far my favorite nail salon in Hampton Roads! The staff is warm and welcoming, I always make an appointment so I'm seen right away. But they do take walk ins! They serve complimentary drinks including wine and beer. I have had three different techs each time I've gone (total of 4 times) all which have been great! Everyone engages in conversation with you, it's a nice change from the norm. Sanitation is important to them, they don't reuse files and other tools, they also line their pedicure tubs. Prices are reasonable and location is great, in the heart of harbor view. The interior of the salon is designed nicely, the music they play is peaceful and I always leave feeling relaxed. I always get compliments on my nails and they look as good as the day I got them done when I need a fill! Another positive thing about the salon is that it doesn't stink of acrylic, the have proper ventilation which is very important to me. I encourage everyone to come check it it! So I came here yesterday and got a fill and polish change on my nails. The fill in was done beautifully!!! But when it came to the polish it was a different story. I originally wanted regular polish since I like to change my color often. But once he started painting my nails the polish was terrible. It was caked on, thick, streaky, and over the outside of my nails and not at all like I picked out so we decided to go with the gel polish hoping that it would better and set nicely. Boy was I wrong!! First off the person that did my geo was the owner so in my mind I thought I was getting the best ppppssshh yea ok. He had polish all over my nails. My cuticles the sides very uneven work. I could've done a better job. So I left and was going to go somewhere else get them fixed but decide they should fix their mess up. So I came BACK the next day and had them attempt to fix my nails. Smh and the pics are the result. I had to keep telling the lady doing my nails to cleans up areas around my cuticles and the side of my nails. Smh. I have white gel polish STILL on my cuticles and fingers as you can see in the pic.
