This was my first float and I must say it was very enjoyable. Setting up the appointment was easy and the young lady working the desk was incredibly helpful with answering my questions. The place was clean and quiet and not janky as I was lead to believe from a few reviews. I did however have a few small issues, that are the reason for the four star review. I was able to bring my own music to listen to while in the pod but I never was able to get it to play through the pod. Two, the temperature of the water was fine but I wish the room was the same temperature, it felt a bit odd as the body parts not submerged were cool; I personally prefer to sweat. Finally, because I wasn't able to listen to my music I decided to go full deprivation with lights out and supposedly no sound. Unfortunately, there was sound spilling in from the building music or else where. The overall experience of floating was relaxing and felt at times like your in the solitudes of space untethered to anything. Total darkness can be achieved by simply turning off the rooms lights and closing the clamshell and turning off it's mode light. A few minutes after I had a sensation of flickering light although it was so dark I couldn't see my hand in front of my face, I guess it was my cons and rods relaxing. I can only remember a few places where it mad no difference if my eyes were open or closed, I saw the same thing nothing. Ultimate relaxation is difficult to achieve with the body because a muscle or two are always working, a nerve is feeling but here if you let yourself go you just might get there if only for an hour.

This place gets 2 stars only because the guy who helped me was knowledgeable and friendly. The showers were moldy and so were the pods. Zero relaxation because I just stared at how gross the pod was. I will not be coming back.

I read the website to get an idea of what to expect prior to coming in and arrived a few minutes before my time. The gentleman that checked me in and gave me a tour made me feel quite uncomfortable. He explained things multiple times and stayed in the float room, in my opinion, way too long. There are signs in the room explaining the process and his incessant talking was too much. I purchased an hour float. I would not recommend this experience if you are prone to vertigo or nausea. I am not, but I felt very strange after floating. I had a dull headache and nausea for hours after. The room and shower were clean and you are advised to shower after floating. They offer toiletries, but they were not formulated for all hair/skin types and were practically empty. If you don't want to redress with salty skin, I'd advise you to bring your own toiletries. When I was checking out, there were several female employees lingering in the hallway staring at me. The same gentleman tried to upsell me on a massage to follow my float and to rebook. I declined both. I just felt very uncomfortable - physically and mentally. Not the right vibe for me. I'll stick with a professional spa or Fuller School for massages.

I decided i needed a ME day. So I've been eyeballing Dream Float on Yelp for months. It's located…read moreoff Laskin Rd and it has alot of benefits like better sleep, pain relief, peace of mind, lowers blood pressure, and more. I was skeptical but today i got out of my comfort zone and tried it. I am really glad i did. I went online and booked my appointment. You get a private room with a shower and towels and wash clothes, and theres a big pod with a light inside. You also can choose to listen to music while in the pod. Afterwards you can also use their blow dryer and etc to get yourself back together. It cost $59.99 for an hour, but they also have longer sessions and a sauna with red light therapy. The waiting area has alot of fun teas for purchase and the owner gives you a tea blend that relaxes you before your session. The tea was light and really did relax me!!! When i went in the room i was nervous, but the owner helped me understand how to get the best benefits from this. The first 20 minutes was me trying to get comfortable and figure it out. You cannot be tense for it to work. When i relaxed i drifted off to sleep and felt like i was floating on a cloud. It was a very unique and relaxing experience. The pod can be opened or closed and even though I'm claustrophobic i was ok with it. I will definitely be going back. The owner is very nice and informative. I think everyone should try this at least once. You leave feeling soooo calm and relaxed!! Theres alot of salt in the water so your body naturally floats. If you suffer from sleepless nights, back pain, neck, shoulder pain, or exhaustion this is the reset your body needs!! 5 stars!! Also theres an adorable dog that will brighten up your day. So take the edge off and give it a try!!!

What an incredible experience…read more I have always wanted to try a float/sensory deprivation tank, but never have. So I finally decided to give it a shot. Booking my appointment was incredibly easy on their Facebook page. The prices seemed more than reasonable, so I went ahead and booked an open slot. When I arrived Beverly walked me through the whole process, answering any questions that I had and giving me a nice tea to help relax before the float. You'll have an option for music (I would go with Beverly's recommendation of 10 minutes at the beginning and 5 at the end). They have everything you need (towels, washcloths, etc) so the only thing you need to bring is maybe a pair of shower shoes. You'll take a shower in the room before getting into the tank. They'll encourage you to try a bunch of different positions and I would as well! Arms up, arms down, palms up, palms down, head float, no head float. I found that the head float, arms down palms up was the best position for me. I can't recommend this place enough, and will definitely be coming back.
