Yes, I'm putting in a review for Staples. Why Staples? They are all pretty standard right, you get…read moreyour supplies, they ring it up and off you go! Nope. Not here. Here, they know me. Well, the manager does. He knows me by "post it girl". This is where I stock up on post its. It may not seem like much to you, but it's pretty darn special to me. No one knows me or recognizes me back home and I LIVE there. Here, I get a welcoming committee. Everyone here is polite and personable. Everyone here is chatty. And everyone here knows, I'm Ericka and I love post its. That alone makes me feel VIP. And as you know, I wear an invisible tiara, so me loves that!! If you live in the area or are breezing through, stop by, get your supplies and share a smile with some really good people who are more than willing to help.

I generally do not leave reviews for retail venues. However, staples is a business oriented supply…read moreand service store. While they may have supplies for business, their customer service is the most awful thing I've ever experienced. They are woefully understaffed, the staff is woefully indifferent, and if you do not know exactly what you want and where it is, you will not have an easy time at this store. My chief complaint is the UPS and business communications center. If it is staffed at all, it is apparent that the staff does not really care about what they're doing. I guess I am having a hissy fit because I don't like being ignored when I am trying to use and pay for a service. I was very lucky that a staff member from a different store was observing Bennington and she went out of her way to help me while the staff of the Bennington store was worthless. Staples provides access to business supplies and technology and is in my mind a vital asset to business. It is a shame that this particular staples seems to be engaging in a suicide mission to put itself out of business. Hopefully future customers will take the lack of service into account when they shop here. The store has plenty of items which are necessary for business. Just don't expect anything, but very basic, minimal services when at the store. I am done complaining.

Later that day, I brought my wife in to test ride one. She enjoyed it so much, we bought it on the spot. I'd known about Vermont's financial incentive programs and asked about them. Apparently there was some confusion about how it worked, and I left thinking I had to apply for a rebate, but in fact it's a voucher program. That meant I had to apply for the voucher, then use it towards the purchase of an e-bike. I contacted the state's program and was told I had no recourse. I called the shop and spoke with Andrew, who was very apologetic, offered a solution that met with our satisfaction. What it came down to is that I can get an e-bike anywhere in Vermont. It's the customer service that will bring me back, time after time.

Walked in this morning with the intention of buying a bike and let the clerk know that that's why I was there. I told him that I wanted to look at some bikes with him as soon as he got a chance. He then proceeded to wait on other people who came in after me and I finally had to remind him that I have been waiting 20 minutes to look at a bike. After the weight and then basically told that they have very limited stock and if I wanted The kind of bike he would recommend for me that I would have to order it out of a catalog, site unseen, and I would own the bike even if it didn't suit me when it arrived. As someone who's not an experienced bike rider that just seems ridiculous. Anyway, I'm sure if you are a very experienced bike rider and know exactly what you want this place is fine. For beginners or people who haven't ridden for a long time...not so much.
