This little gem was one the best dinners we've had in Capri. Located in a small alley and not much appears from the windows; however, once inside you're in for a surprise. Creatively and eclectically decorated within an old house, we were seated next to a bed and my seat was actually the bed. With only 10-15 tables throughout, I would recommend if an intimate dinner is what you're going for. Now, the Genovese pasta was divine, not the typical Neapolitan style as it contained no tomatoes in the sauce. Simply made of the most tender roasted pot roast meat and onions cooked over 9 hours that day and then tossed with penne pasta. We also tried the eggplant meatballs for antipasti, and it was not as memorable as the pasta. We will definitely be back before our trip is over. I would have given 5 stars but our waitress got very busy and didn't come back to ask us if we wanted after dinner drinks. Unfortunately, our lovely experience ended sooner. read more

If you've ever wondered what it might be like to eat a homecooked meal in the comfort of an Italian aristocrats bedroom, add E'Divino to your Capri Culinary Checklist. Like stepping into a chic home, E'Divino is adorned with modern art, trendy music and shockingly low lighting which proved almost impossible to find in Italy. Nooks and crannies filled with tiny tables and chairs are sprinkled throughout the space which boasts an outdoor garden with bistro lights and model-esq locals laughing over half full glasses of wine and empty plates once containing fresh pappardelle and local seafood specials. Our server led us to a table pushed against a bed centered in the largest section of the room where we promptly sat, giddily excited by the unusual sitting arrangement. Let me clarify that although the ambiance was stylish, the music hip and the lighting low, E'Divino does not have the makings of a "trendy" restaurant - those that often evoke the sense that all creativity was put into the interior design and reputation of a place with little thought left to the ingredients or quality of food. The food was in fact excellent overall. My boyfriend has the salmon crusted with fresh herbs and spices, flavorful but not overpowering and the fish itself was well cooked. Without question a superb setting, locally sourced foodie experience of the highest calling. Let the bells ring. Oh if Craig lebain only knew.... I had the velvety zucchini soufflé with cheese fondue, which was neither a soufflé nor a cheese fondue but our universe well beyond my expectations. I could not see the universe because my eyes were closed when my senses were beautifully assuaged into luxurious healthy simple food prepared by the best of chefs in the world. My wife had the octopus with warm potato salad that was absolutely scrumptious. Wines by the glass were satisfying and beautiful in the setting on the isle of Capri. I would go back here in a heartbeat two or three times in a row. It was certainly one of the best lunches I've ever had in my life. I hope you have this experience too, I mean it. Then take a walk down to Augustus' garden overlooking the blue waters of Capri, and a geological spectacle in the ocean with a tunnel through rock that the boat ride through about three-quarter mile away. One of my all time favorite restaurants in Capri, E'Divino is one of the most unusual restaurant's on the island. It is housed in a building that looks like someone's home, complete with a big bed smack in the middle of the restaurant. I have dinned here several times and have sat both outside and inside. I suggest sitting inside as it best captures E'Divino's wonderful quirkiness. I loved sitting in the "living room" next to the fireplace on a large comfy sofa surrounded by antiques. The food here is exceptional, you can not go wrong with any dish. My all time favorite dish is the Genovese (pasta with braised beef and onions). The menu does change so be sure to ask your server what she or he recommends and just order what is recommended. read more

Beautiful concept and atmosphere, sub par food. We had high hopes for this hidden restaurant built in an old home and meant to still look like that. We are in a bedroom sitting on an actual bed, next door was the living room. It was very French in style. We enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was not what I wanted for my one dinner in Capri. The pacceri with amberjack fish was like something I can whip up quickly at home mixing anything I had available. The taste was not terrible, just not particularly good. The octopus however was almost inedible. Rubbery and burnt on the outside. I was expecting it to taste fresh from the sea cooked slowly to make it tender. This charming restaurant is slightly hard to find, but was one of my favorite meals in Capri. The ambiance is quirky and very Italian, almost like grandmas living room. We sat in a closed off but open air courtyard which was lively and entertaining. You have a sense that this is where the locals go, expect fantastic local cuisine and slightly limited English. Enjoyed dinner here last night. The seating outside in the garden is quite nice, surrounded by trees with a romantic ambience. Started with fried cod to share. My wife had stuffed ricotta and I had fried tuna for main dishes. Both were quite good. We didn't have dessert as they do not have coffee or tea which was a bit disappointing. Would give 3.5 stars if possible. Service was mediocre. read more

Nice spot outside in the walled garden. We ate well without it blowing out socks off. As with many places in Capri the portions were small and the local red (aglianico) was strong and packed a punch. Shame our waitress seemed so preoccupied she handed us the bill and receipt without any acknowledgement but this didn't spoil the overall very enjoyable meal. read more

We loved this place!!! Small, quirky and unbelievably the best food we have had this trip. The octopus on lentils was the best octopus we have ever had. This was our favorite meal in Capri! If we could we would rate it 4.5 stars. The food was fabulous but slightly overpriced for what we've seen so far. Nonetheless, as soon as we sat down there was great service. Our waitress began with asking us what we liked (chicken, fish, meat, etc) and then proceeded to give us suggestions for each plate based on our choices. She was not wrong on anything! We started off with stuffed peppers and squid and shrimp soup. The peppers melted in your mouth but she advised us to order another antipasti because it was a bit small. The fish soup with white beans was my favorite dish of the night! The squid was so tender and the meal had such a rich flavor. Thereafter, we each got a pasta dish -- Geneveso and pesto pasta. The Geneveso contained Beef in a red sauce with sweet onions that slow cooked for 9 hours. It was impeccable. The pesto is lighter and made with different ingredients than the norm but Is definitely delicious and worth trying! I would love to come back to this homey, welcoming atmosphere and try every meal on the menu! It will be hard to top! read more

After every menu started looking the same in Capri, we took to Yelp to find something different, yet local. I stumbled across this place online and found it easily close to the main square in Capri town. The food was exactly what we were looking for! Flavor profiles were unique and portions perfect, yet filling (not the enormous portions in other places to compensate for cheap ingredients)! I got a pasta filled with ricotta (and another cheese?) and for second I got a salmon rolled with an amazing filling with leeks and walnuts. The prices were competitive, if not better than most restaurants we dined at while in Capri. I think we were the only English speaking patrons in there, which to me is a compliment to the place. Loved the garden ambiance. I believe the restaurant is an old home, the inside also looked smartly decorated with a fun atmosphere. Would highly suggest a visit if you are in Capri!! read more
