What a great find! This outdoor casual dining spot, part of the Marriott Hotel in Burbank is a keeper! Convenient location across the street from Burbank airport. I'll be going here before and after my flights. Nice, relaxing ambiance with a full bar, tables & chairs (with umbrellas), and a fire pit. The food is excellent! I had the chick and shrimp paella. It was a bit spicy, but the blonde beer cooled it down. The portion size is quite large. I had enough for lunch the next day. Great taste and they didn't skimp on the chicken, sausage or shrimp. My friend had the BBQ chicken flatbread. It came on a wood plank and was garnished with crispy onion straws. I've never seen that combination before. My friend loved it and took a few pieces home as well. Friendly staff that was attentive and stopped by to check on us a few times. We'll definitely go back and enjoy this hidden gem! read more

We wanted to dine outdoors given the current covid surge without being locked down to a set menu due to the holidays, so we ended up at EDB. We have been here many times before and while the drinks are good, the food portion has always been on the small side for the price they charged. However, when we went recently, it has totally changed...it's as if they are offering twice the portion of what they used to. We wanted deviled eggs but unfortunately they were out. I love EDB, the food is surprisingly great. I enjoy the poke nachos and bowls. The staff is solid and super kind. I visit EDB several times a year for business meetings and we all enjoy the munchies and cocktails. Saul will go out of his way to find my favorite bottle of Rose wine. U is always smiling and checking in. Gregory is a great server and very friendly. I wish I knew a couple more names because they have all worked there for years and are all lovely (Odon & Sean?) . Last weekend while at the Marriott I had dinner with my son and his friends and we had the best waiter ever his name is Parker. Parker was so polite and attentive. My daughter and I always go out to eat on Mondays we found this place on yelp it's right by our house. The patio has a beautiful set up . I love the fire pits and Plantery. The reason I'm giving this place three stars is: The food just took way too long over 25 minutes for a Caesar wrap and burger. Took over 10 minutes just for a strawberry lemonade. I asked for a refill of water half way through my meal I didn't get my refill until I was done with my food. It really wasn't that busy but I think they're just probably way understaffed. I'm not sure I will come back on a busy night. If service took that long I can imagine when they're busy. read more

I paid $19 for what looked and tasted like a frozen Tyson chicken sandwich. The patty resembled the same ones from elementary school lunches. It was definitely not a whole chicken breast but a processed patty. Should be criminal to charge that much. Service was friendly but very slow, servers were more focused on the bar patrons and larger groups. In addition they never gave me silverware or a napkin setting, just a handful of those small cocktail napkins. Kind of a disappointment over all considering you could get a better meal and service just about anywhere else. Don't waste your time or money. read more

So tonight was date night. I found this place doing a Google search, I had no idea that this place existed. Made a reservation and we were seated in a timely manner even though we showed up 10 minutes early because I didn't want to miss too much of the Clippers game. The place looks amazing at night and perfect for date night and a quarantine night. People were spaced out well and seems like they were following all pandemic protocols. Let me tell you, service is painfully slow. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed. To her credit she apologized multiple times. They seemed well staffed but I could be wrong. Seriously though the time waiting for drinks, time waiting for any kind of service was just not acceptable. Food was good though. We had Flatbread, a burger and sashimi appetizers. The Old fashions were mixed very well. Service was just not good. Hip& trendy outdoor eatery located next to the poolside at the Marriott next to the Burbank airport. Comfy lounge furniture and sitting areas. Tables and a huge bar with friendly bartenders. They make a great bloody Mary! I'll have to come back for food another day. We ended up eating at the Daily Grill this day. I think parking is what keeps people day from here. There are limited handicap parking spaces available at the entrance without having to go into the pay lot. They offer valet for others at $7 with validation. 3.5 stars - This place was okay, I was just expecting a bit more. The waitress was very nice and someone who I assume was the manager did stop by so those are pluses. If you are a local and do go here, be prepared to be surrounded by rowdy conference attendees. I'm all for having fun but there were moments I couldn't even hear or concentrate on what the person I was with was saying because it was so loud/crazy. We did ask to move to another table and the waitress was accommodating. The Thai lettuce shrimp cups were good, the burger was okay, I was disappointed by the truffle fries. All of the fries were very small pieces, looked like leftovers. The truffle part was lacking too - I would not recommend those. They do validate as well. Note, this place is right outside of the main hotel entrance. Overall, nice place and good service. read more

After managing restaurants for years it is always nice seeing a crew that genuinely cares and works hard despite poor staffing levels... lookin at you management. Seeing Sal (Saul?) work so hard despite being the literal only person on shift this afternoon and still making customers feel valued and appreciated was great to see. He had nearly every seat filled and handled it like a pro. Despite the long wait I returned later that day and he was still working to ensure the team fully recovered. Grace has consistently provided great and well timed service, I have barely waited more than a minute after thinking I'd like to order something new. With eye contact from over 20 feet away she always appears ready to assist. These two truly work to make the best experience possible for the guests and are the reason for my 5 stars. Ambiance 5/5 Food 4/5 Value for price 3.5/5 Staff when present 5/5 Overall I genuinely look forward to visiting here in the future but I hope management will better effectively schedule their workers so these great caring employees stay on site and are not overworked. Also give them a bonus - they deserve it, and based off of the level of care the rest of the staff show do something nice for them. To potential customers, food is good and the vibe is great. A good friend and business associate stayed at the Marriott and we decided to have a late bite before he had to do some more work getting ready for an important meeting tomorrow. It's always nice to have a server that really interacts with us, and Celina couldn't have been better, from the time she called us "gentlemen" to her service, schmoozing with us and making sure our drinks were full and that the food was to our satisfaction. Speaking of food, the BBQ chicken on flatbread was tasty and my friend scarfed down his sliders with a smile, not to mention a couple beers, and my Cadillac margarita was good. While the weather was in the low 60s, we sat under an outdoor heater and we were totally comfortable. I don't often eat in this part of Burbank, but if I would, I'd definitely come back here, especially in summer. And another good thing: parking is free with a validation! read more

I don't blame the bar tender/servers for not getting the proper amount of help from management. The place got hit with a convention and people must have swarmed the place for lunch because the tables were dirty, the dirty dishes and glasses were piled up. We saw many people who left after sitting at tables with no service. We too went from sitting at a no service table to the bar and it was not easy to get any one of the two men working the counter. If it wasn't that we were actually staying at this Marriott Hotel we would have left also. Needless to say we had to remove dishes and clean the counter ourselves and literally wave down the bar tender for help every time we needed something. read more

My husband and I had a four hour flight delay at the Burbank airport, so we walked 10 minutes across the street to E.D.B. for dinner. The ambiance is delightful - we quickly found a spot around a fire pit, the lighting was soft and inviting, and the palm trees made it feel like a swanky vacation spot even though the parking lot was a few feet away. The food was disappointing. My salmon was dry and overcooked (although the glaze was good) and my husband's burger was dry and lacking in flavor. The saving grace, literally, was our server Grace. She was attentive, helpful, and just had such a bright and lovely way about her. It felt like she really cared about our experience. Actually some of the best service we've had in years. Yizel the manager went above and beyond to ensure our experience was the best it could possibly be, and Sean, our server, took such great care of us and helped us to decide on our dishes from his experience. The ambience here is just an additional perk to the entire dining experience. We had one of the best nights as a family in a long time. And will be back, VERY very soon.
