Good, perhaps not great, but quite good. My friend and I had to investigate given the hype and what…read morewe found was a very fast food--looking place, bright but simple, even spartan, interior, nice and fast service, reasonable prices. But, beyond the expected hamburgers and a great selection of shakes, they have chicken 'n' waffles, fried shrimp, and other dishes. Everything is indeed fast food yet at the same time tastes homemade. My shrimp were good though a bit too salty for my liking, the waffle fries fine, the bread roll (really? not hushpuppies?) ok if weird to me to include in a seafood basket. Their house MotLee's Sauce is certainly the sauce to ask for, by the way. All in all, a good, economical choice for fast food plus to support something local and unique.

Husband got a smash burger with sweet potato fries and a Heath bar shake. Everything was served quickly by the nice young man behind the counter, all was hot and looked great. Everything was delicious, with the highpoints being the sweet potato waffle fries, the biscuit, and the milkshakes. I got ranch and the Motlee sauce for my chicken and both were excellent, the ranch is def homemade. We'll be back around the next time we head in or out on I-10, although it's only 30 minutes from where I live in Jax, so we might make the drive just for dinner one night.

We were a family of six traveling through, stopped for our usual firehouse favorites (we live in NE Florida). We waited over an HOUR for our food. Staff were on their phones, no system in place. Two families walked out. When I asked for a refund (nicely) I was told I'd have to wait (by female manager) until every order was made "she's gonna have to wait!" She yelled. My options were to wait for food or wait for refund while our order hadn't even been started. I left with four starving children and no refund, in an unpacked firehouse at 2 pm. Go ANYWHERE else. The cashier guy was not a teen but truly not an 'adult'... seems he was caught somewhere in between. There are much more respectful and professional ways to communicate with customers. When I got to the window, I calmly explained that his tone was rude and that customer service should be handled more respectfully. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the situation, he handed me my card back and told me, "You can go somewhere else with that." I asked to speak with the manager, and he claimed that he was the manager. If that's true, it's even more concerning because a manager should set the standard for professionalism, not treat customers with disrespect. I wasn't looking for an argument--I was simply expecting basic courtesy. This experience left me shocked and disappointed, and I won't be returning to this location. I hope KFC addresses how customers are treated because no one deserves to be spoken to this way
