I considered tearing the whole thing out (at great expense and mess) but a contractor friend suggested just taking the top coat off and redoing that. I contact two companies I found here on Yelp and AB Concrete called me back. John came down from Auburn and gave me a quote before he left. Initially, I told him I decided to fully replace the whole mess because I wanted to do more extensive work with it, but called him a week later because economic reality kicked it. He scheduled the job and a crew of three came down and finished the job in three days. Kenny, Isaiah and Ivan were easy to work with and Kenny did a marvelous job of customizing the ultimate color of the patio. They were mindful of my backyard and cleaned up each day. I'm very pleased with the work they performed and how the patio looks now. (I'm also happy with the thousands left in my bank account too!)

Thankfully my mom is recovering but I found myself in dire need of a trustworthy contractor to repair the damage and to have the work completed ASAP. I can't remember if Lucas answered the phone or if he called me right back but it was quick and easy to get a hold of him either way. We made an appointment to meet the next day. Lucas was perfectly communicative and arrived on time. He was patient as my mom's neighbors engaged me and added significant time to his visit. What I appreciated most from Lucas is that he offered multiple options for each area of work to be done. Aesthetically and as far as cost. As time was a factor, having Lucas respond the following day with a very reasonable bid, based on the options we discussed and with the added benefit of him being ready to get the work completed in a short amount of time really meant a lot. As did his communication with following up to see if we had any questions or concerns. Ultimately my mom chose a different option but that decision does not reflect on Lucas or Alpha at all. In fact she asked me to keep Lucas's information for her so she can contact him for future projects.

We were in desperate need of a new "apron" at the bottom of our 400' driveway as the asphalt was crumbling and just kept getting worse. Freschi came in and fixed the several patches on the concrete part of our driveway (using rebar!) and put in a beautiful asphalt "apron". We have had so many compliments from neighbors "now your place really does look like an estate", etc.! Freschi's team is professional, honest and has integrity and they were wonderful in communicating the various steps to expect throughout the whole process (from Shirley in the office to the team on site). Go ahead, call five contractors. How many answer their phone? How many even respond? You probably already know how many. 1? 2, maybe? This project was a little annoying because I needed it done immediately. Also, it involved working in conjunction with a separate contractor that was working in the home. I was worried that it'd be hard to find a contractor to complete in time. I felt bad having such an immediate need but I wanted to call Billy first. Billy answered, with tools in his hands, mid job. I explained what I needed. He asked the right questions. We setup a time to meet and like clockwork, he showed up on time. Always friendly. Always informative. Bam! Work scheduled. I left Billy the lockbox code and he estimated his finishing time. I called him around that time to coordinate getting him paid. And, of course, the work was already completed. Not only was the work completed sooner than expected which allowed the entire project to progress faster than expected, but it was done perfectly. Which is a word I rarely use. But from the precision of the work, the cleanliness of the work, coordination with other contractors, quality of products he used...and yes, the value of everything involved...perfect! I'm not sure if I'll ever need contracting services in the Yuba/Sutter area again. But if I do, I'm only making one call. The same call you should make. I am so grateful for their quick response and for getting the issue resolved! It was pretty stressful not having electricity in half the house. Diego is great! I provided all materials which I purchased prior to the start of my project which ended up being the first week of January due to the holidays. My biggest problem with Diego was communication. I was never kept updated on delays to workers or himself showing up when promised and always felt that my job was put on the back burner for other customers with larger jobs. The tile man, Jeremy was amazing. He had my floor and backsplash done in a day and a half which included a backsplash in my guest bathroom and the work was beautiful. And then I waited and waited and waited. The painter, Jeff, not so good. He didn't take off any light covers, door pulls or tape anything off. Consequently I had a lot of cleanup as there was paint on many hinges, my shower surround next to the door moulding, the switch covers and door pulls and splatters on my new floor tile. Sloppy and unprofessional work. I talked to Diego and sent pictures on February 5th. He promised to come out in a week as he had become a new father but that's the last I've heard from him and it's the end of March. Diego is very friendly and fun to talk to and he himself does meticulous work. It's the other aspects of his business that definitely need work.
