I use a fitness membership through my employer, Fitness Pass, which provides access to basic memberships at a variety of gyms in the area. When I called to ask how to sign up using Fitness Pass, I was transferred to a membership representative who informed me that I would need to pay an additional $10 per month on top of what I already pay through Fitness Pass. When I asked for clarification, I was told this was essentially because the gym needed to make more than what Fitness Pass provides. This explanation did not seem appropriate or consistent with how the program is intended to work. To verify, I contacted Fitness Pass directly. They confirmed that I should not be charged any additional fee for a basic membership and even offered to join a three-way call with the gym to clarify the situation. However, when I called the gym back just minutes later, I was told that membership staff were suddenly unavailable for at least 30 minutes, despite having just spoken with them. I then contacted another EoS Fitness location in Springville and explained the exact same situation. Their staff immediately clarified that the Fitness Pass fully covers the basic membership and that no additional fee is required. I visited that location in person, received a tour, and completed my enrollment in about 20 minutes, without any extra charges. They also explained that the $10 fee mentioned by the other location applies only to a premium membership and is entirely optional. Due to the conflicting information and lack of transparency from this location, I will be going to the Springville location instead, even though it is farther away. On May 7, 2026 I began a "free trial" membership with Eos Fitness. Their own website advertises it as "No credit cards. No commitments. No excuses!". I know that gyms like this are infamous for predatory practices around cancelations so I specifically asked the sales representative at the time what the process would be like to cancel and if there were any fees. I was explicitly told that cancelation can be done any time online and there is no cancelation fee. The sales representative took it upon himself to recite the basics of the Membership Agreement - likely as a tactic to get me to listen and talk to him rather than reading the agreement for myself. Even though I was explicitly told there was no fee to cancel, what he failed to mention was that cancelations require a 30-day written notice and that within those 30 days I will be charged nearly $100 for an annual fee and first month membership. This is incredibly predatory behavior. I even called the listed phone number, just to reach an answering machine. It instructed me to "press 2" for cancelation requests. When I pressed 2, the answering machine said nothing about cancelations - only about updating my billing method. I tried that and the only options it gave me were to add a new card or new bank account. No option to cancel. I went in-person to request to cancel and was told that nobody on-site would be able to help me cancel and that I had to do it online or over the phone. I called the business several times and was finally able to reach a representative who was just as unhelpful. read more

I'm visiting from California and came to the gym with my friend under her guest pass , And they had us wait 25 minutes literally for nothing , while they let multiple people in. Stated they had to "ask me a few questions" before checking me in but then have us waiting 25 minutes, we were in a rush already and just ended up leaving and we were not able to even hit the gym. I go to the gym at 5400s. The boss there isn't fair to me. My son also goes there. One day, while we were both working out, we met a white American man who said he was tired and asked if my son had taken his phone and keys. My son said no, but the white American man didn't say anything and just posted a picture saying my son took them. The person who worked there didn't understand the situation clearly and just assumed my son was the one who took them. But in my opinion, I would never do that. I told my son to schedule a meeting with the manager on Monday at 130 to talk. When my son arrived, the manager didn't meet with my son. It's all unfair to my son. Whatever wrongdoing has its cause and effect, so I only hope that the superior of this manager will help my son find justice. I reported this to the manager, Aaron but I felt like he really downplayed the situation and didn't take it seriously at all. I love EōS, but if they're not going to treat something this important with the care it deserves, I may have to reconsider my membership. read more

I tried to cancel, went in and talked to a staff member and they said they would cancel it. I was then charged the yearly renewal fee. I sent an email and did not receive any confirmation. Got a gym membership here a few months ago. My experience signing up was honestly horrible. I waited 45 minutes to get a tour of the gym. After waiting, I had a front desk guy tell me to just sign up online, so I actually never got a tour. The place is consistently packed and if you go during busy hours expect to wait for almost everything. The gym is starting to get run down. Bathrooms are always a mess and nasty. (Men's side) Showers also seem like they don't get cleaned thoroughly. The staff never seem to have answers on when things are getting done or fixed. The sauna has been closed for over a week now and when I called to see when it was going to get fixed they said "possibly tomorrow ". Keep in mind I called last week and they said it would be fixed on Monday. I'm sure if I called again tomorrow they will repeat the "possibly tomorrow" answer just to get me off the phone. Management needs to do more inspection sweeps of the gym and not leave it up to their hourly staff who obviously don't care about anything other than getting their paychecks and doing the bare minimum. (I don't really blame them because I'm sure they are getting underpaid) I regret signing up at this gym and unfortunately they only have one location in Utah Valley so the option choices of going to a better managed facility isn't really an option. It just seems like no one gives a shit about anything in there. It's all smiles and niceties with no real intent behind it. And the automated reply messages on each bad review show you how this company is lead. By automation and without care or interest in its customers. Look at all the reviews and the owner "reaches out whole heartedly" with the same response. It's honestly a lil pathetic. read more

I chose EoS because I had a friend who worked at another location who spoke highly of it. When I went in to sign up I was told they can't help me and I need to do it online so I proceeded to do so on my phone standing at the front desk as the employee chatted on the phone with what seemed like a friend. Using the link I had received advertising 1 month free as well as any fees to start being $1. 14 days after signing up I was hit with a charge of around $90. I went in to figure out why. I was told the manager was out of town and that if I came back when he was in he would fix it for me. I came back when they said the manager would be back. I was met at the counter with an employee refusing to let me to speak with the manager causing the manager and I to play a game of telephone. Ultimately they told me they can't help and I need to speak to people above a manager, she proceeded to give me a "leave a yelp review" card. They never allowed me to speak to the manager despite him sitting 15 feet away in a fishbowl office seemingly lightly chatting it up with another employee. Any questions I ask are met with "I can't help" or "you're gonna have to talk to someone higher up". I expected the $24 a month to begin after a full month as well as the yearly fee (I was told by 2 different employees this fee is required to start and should be covered under the $1 to start) to begin after a year as advertised. As I've understood in talking with several employees the yearly fee is required to begin and instead of waiting a year to charge as would be expected, they just delayed starting fees 14 days. After reading the yelp reviews it seems taking people's money is just common practice at this location. As far as the gym/equipment goes, machines are loose in all the parts that shouldn't be loose and pins slip out all the time. Multiple pins have gone missing on cable machines, the gym is fairly dirty compared to what I'm used to at past gyms, hardly anyone un-racks their weight. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I've spoken with my friend who worked at another location and they told me everything I've been told about them "not being able to help me" is complete bs as my friend and their manager have resolved issues similar to this regularly. I'm not the type to "ask for the manager" or leave reviews but since they've told me to do both and things like this seem to be common practice here, I guess that's where we are. read more

This evening, while my wife and I were working out at the gym, an incident occurred involving the cleaning crew. A member of the cleaning staff, who did not speak English, used a leaf blower to clear dust, which unfortunately covered us and our belongings. This action resulted in a significant amount of dust being blown directly at us, causing discomfort and prompting me to cover my face with my shirt to avoid inhaling the dust. While my wife ran to the bathroom to flush debris out of her eyes. Following this, I approached the front desk to discuss the matter with the staff member on duty, who declined to provide her name. She informed the cleaning crew of my complaint, but the worker resumed using the leaf blower, disregarding my concerns. When I requested a business card for the manager, the front desk staff member claimed that she could not provide one as it was a personal number, and mentioned that the manager, being quite young, would not appreciate being contacted directly. I expressed my intention to find the contact information online, at which point the staff member suggested that I could simply leave the premises. I replied that I intended to do so to avoid potential health risks from the dust. Her response was that I was making her uncomfortable. This reaction seemed inappropriate given that I was voicing a legitimate concern as a customer. It is concerning that an employee representing EOS Fitness was unable to handle a valid complaint professionally. If an employee cannot effectively manage customer interactions, it may be more suitable for them to be placed in a non-customer-facing role. I was attending EOS happily for about 2 years without issues but sadly blew out my knee. After this happened I could not go to the gym or do anything with my legs. EOS stopped charging me which was great but then resumed charging me 2 months after my surgery where I still couldn't do anything. I requested them to stop the charges due to my life event and recovery. They came back denying the ability to take care of the refund and continued charging me. I tried multiple times to fight the charges but encountered the same horrible customer service each time. Very disappointed and do not recommend EOS to anyone at this point. Update November 14 2024 I was told by an EOS representative that they would have someone address my issue on Nov 2nd 2024, no one has reached out. Then I was charged once again for the amount of $192 for an activity I haven't been able to use due to my injury. I have asked repeatedly for the past 4 months to stop the charges with no resolution. This is horrible customer service of a company that I expected more from. The total amount of money they have taken, instead of helping me, is $1,536.00. Very selfish and money driven. read more

CONS: left vasa in hopes of less people, still a pretty packed gym. when i signed up they didn't brief me on the things my highest membership included until i haunted the front desk asking questions. the walkways are the worst. i am scared turning every corner, afraid i'm going to run into somebody -- especially going in and out of the women's locker room. PROS: they have some fun group classes. Terrible customer service. I got an injury on my shoulder so i went to a personal trainer who was standing around to see if they could provide any assistance or recommendations. He talked me into trying out a session with a personal trainer for $20 and said if I decide it isn't for me, he would refund me right after the session and I would not be bound to any payments. I setup a time to come meet my trainer the following day and was told that time no longer worked for him. I tried to find a time that would work for both of us but never heard back from the trainer. I called multiple times to try to get my $20 back since I never received anything just for them to tell me I couldn't talk to the personal fitness manager I previously talked to because he always happened to be at a "2 hour lunch" or "busy" all times I would call. They told me to go to a webpage to take care of this which was down and wouldn't load so I went in when I was available for them to, again, tell me he wasn't available to talk. I left 2 messages at the front desk for him which he never responded to and finally got in contact when I saw him walking around the gym. He acted like he would do his best to help me out and said to expect a call regarding this situation within 4 days of our conversation. 4 days went by and I never got a call so I went in 2 more times to see him with the same problem of him not being available to talk to me so they had me leave notes and my phone number. 12 days went by and I finally saw him standing around again. I went up and asked about my issue for him to be extremely rude, not say anything and just get on is computer, pull up my account, and say nope there's nothing I can do for you. he is now making me pay $88 a month on top of my membership fee and the $20 he was supposed to refund me for 4 months. He constantly talks over me and say's he's not going to argue with me about it and it's my fault that this happened. He also made the point that if I would have contacted them earlier, I could have had this canceled but since its been so long now, I have to pay the entire term. He said this after first stating that "once 3 days go by after signing up to try the first session (which never happened) you are bound by contract to pay for the entire term and cannot cancel". Doesn't add up to me that he is "unable" to refund me after 3 days but also could have refunded me if I had come to him within the first 2 weeks. I have been going to EOS gym's for many years and am shocked at how awful this experience has been. read more

The amenities are alright, and by alright, I mean just ok. This place is so crowded. It's such a pain waiting on equipment, especially when you're just trying to get a short work out in. When I canceled my membership I got billed for $78 dollars. The salesmen tell you about how the sign up fee is just $1, and how it will just be $10 afterwards, but they left out all the extra fees that are involved. This is seriously the worst gym in the whole state, especially the one in Orem. The staff are terrible to work with, and they are never available and always tell you some excuses for not helping you. I will tell this to the owners. You could easily fire half of the management there, save thousands of dollars in payments for salaries and believe me. You will have a better service. Few people who work in that location care about their jobs. The general manager should be the first one to go. Chase you are a joke and also, the other black manager is a terrible person. The facility is really clean and some awesome equipment. But the staff is absolutely terrible I came in for a seven day trail but they refused to honor it. Instead the guys were trying to high pressure sell me a pass instead. I kept saying to let me use the seven day trial and then I would make a decision. But rather then honor what they allow online they made me pay for a $20 day pass because I said I wasn't going to be pressured into buying a pass. 2 Star rating for this gym so far. Way better than VASA for sure but still some great room for improvement. I downloaded a 7 day pass to try it out yesterday for the first time but the club was so busy I have to wait nearly 20 minutes and was still never seen by an actual sales person. Props to the stud at the front desk who saw the inconvenience and allowed me to do my workout because at this point my pre-workout was making me real itchy. Here is my gym floor experience: The roof is leaky and club was very humid on the west side of the weight room. Tons of college aged folks working out and people needing to wait and take turns. Club was clean, and fellow gym people were kind. Post workout experience: props to the front desk again for letting me test out a massage chair! These are not the crappy, water jetted ones at VASA. These ones are like going into a cocoon of bliss and actually feels like a massage. (Today however I was not able to jump on one because of the line, what the heck.) Post day one experience as a whole: for sure the club for me so I joined. However I came in today and struggled understanding how to log in to the advanced gym tech they have that customizes it's functions to your needs. (I ended up just doing a guest profile on them but I like the gameification of things in the gym to compete so my results did not get posted) Hopefully they can keep training folks up to focus on each member interaction and this club will quickly soar up to 5 star range read more

This is a really good gym with many ways to easily track progress. The personal training is good, the stretching sessions are amazing and everyone is friendly and non judgmental. They have many equipment breakdowns however--the massage chairs break down several times/month and the hot tub is frequently closed for more than a day. And the accessible women's shower has never worked properly. I rely on these things for recovery and it is frustrating that they are not better quality. read more

Do not sign up here if you don't want to get overcharged and then have to fight for a refund. They will tell you when you sign up that you can cancel no problem and then give you the run around so they can charge you again. If you get personal training make sure to cancel it a month before you want to stop because even though they will say when you sign up after the four months you are done and don't have to pay anymore they will charge you for an extra month. Talking to anyone there is an exercise in futility. Also make sure to double check everything is getting cancelled because if you don't they will keep you active until you keep talking to them. read more

This gym is so disappointing. After the first month of opening, most of the lockers are broken, the pool is already disgusting, they don't clean it, only pour too much chlorine in it. But there is hair clumps and sand/rocks at the bottom. In addition to this half the indoor bikes are already broken. This is not necessarily there fault but when I ask, can I swap out this broken bike for one of the 20 bikes in the locked bike room they say no! So I have no access to a working bike even though there are plenty of working bikes Locked in a training classroom. The treadmills are also very disappointing. They are almost all on a slant, so while you run the machine wiggles and you feel pulled to the right or left. Not fun. If you are looking to weight lift this place will probably work fine. BUT if you like cardio don't go here. It has been weeks of me asking for them to fix the bikes or treadmills and they won't do a thing. I wish I could get my money back. read more

My wife and I tried to visit the new Orem facility and learn about pricing. We stood at the front desk while the guy who should be greeting us was playing on his phone. Finally I asked if someone could help us, and it was only then he even realized we were there. I told him we'd like to see the facilities and learn about pricing. He turned some tablets to us and said we would need to sign in. I responded that we'd prefer to not sign in and start getting emails and such. He responded that if we didn't sign in he could not allow us to enter nor tell us anything about the plans or pricing. I questioned that and he simply turned the tablets away from us and said he couldn't help us. We found the whole experience very strange, especially since we had just visited VASA and Planet Fitness, where the employees were very inviting and helpful.
