    Complimentary dessert for our anniversary
    Tatyana M.

Went here last night to celebrate our anniversary and we had an amazing time. Actually typing this as I eat my left overs. Upon arrival, we checked in for our reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant is gorgeous, would be a great spot to try out their patio. Every staff we interacted with was kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Okay on to the good stuff! Get the brioche bread, you won't regret it, it was a flaky, buttery, lightly salted perfection. 10/10 Buffalo gnocchi - 10/10 absolutely perfect texture, melts in your mouth! I will be coming back and I know I'm getting this every time Chicken parm for 2, is really for 4 (the leftovers I had this morning proved that) but it was sooooo good! The sauce it comes with is like a hot honey, adds so much to the flavor profile. I was very pleased! For drinks, we went with an old fashioned, which was an entire experience, the smoke really brought out the different notes in the drink. (make sure the waiter allows you to take a sip with the smoke, the second person opened it very quickly without to comment and you can tell the difference) We also got à la deliz vida, which was really great, the shaved ice, the texture of the glass. I had such a lovely time here and they brought out a cute sparkler desert, which was such a cute gesture. I can't wait to go back.

Dined here for a birthday celebration and feeling mixed thoughts. Starting with the good points. The steak was presented beautifully and was cooked to our liking and was super buttery and tender. The bread was also amazing probably my favorite thing. The other dishes we ordered were also nice and well seasoned but weren't really stand outs and one dish came out a little cold. The drawbacks. If you want an intimate dinner this might not be the place. It seemed to be more of a group dining situation lots of groups around us so the volume of the restaurant was very high and the music didn't help me and my partner could barely hear each other. Was obviously very busy so I understand, but our server rarely checked in on us throughout the (almost 2 hour) dinner and it took almost 30 minutes for us to place food orders. Overall it's worth a try especially if you're in the area but depends on what kind of dinner experience you're looking for and have a taste for.

Everything about this place was 10/10. The food, ambiance and service was so amazing. Our server was extremely attentive and even provided great recommendations for things to go in the city. The buffalo gnocchi was so flavorful and the gnocchi was pillowy soft. and salad was fantastic too. The steak frites, tagliadri bolognese, and truffle pasta were stars of the dinner as well! I will definitely be back to try to the chicken Parmesan and squash angolotti.

Wicker park has needed a restaurant like Dēliz! Everything was amazing. The service was exceptional. The vibes were relaxing but upscale. I loved their outdoor seating. It felt private away from the hustle most places have being street level. And the food was delicious and comforting. The owner came over and introduced himself. Super friendly! I can definitely sense his passion for hospitality.

Deliz is now one of my suggested steakhouses! In my visit everything exceeded my expectations and set the bar high for future dining experiences! I came here on a random Thursday for a solo date and was not prepared to be blown away! To start the service was extremely attentive from the start to the end of my dining experience. The server ensured my glasses were never empty, plates were cleared after I was finished, and checked in frequently to ensure I was doing okay! The service is what took this experience from an above average restaurant to an excellent one and I am so very grateful for that. This restaurant is truly stunning. Dim,moody lighting, bright red seating, floor candles lining the staircase with a stunning art piece of a woman eating pasta. Deliz is perfect for a date night, birthday dinner, or girls night out! Very sexy inside! The best cocktail I have ever had. EVER. Was the "La Deliz Vida" a lemon, yuzu, pomegranate cocktail poured over lychee ice. I had 3 lol they were delicious. For started I had one of the best caesar salads I have ever had paired with warm brioche bread that truly melted at the first bite . I ordered their Cacio e Pepe pasta for my entire and loved the creaminess of the pasta and subtle pepper while still mastering full flavor. I was in foodie heaven! To top it off I ended with a raspberry sorbet. Truly this was an amazing dining experience am thrilled to get back!

On our 28th anniversary, we tried Deliz after recommendations. All I can say is we experienced an excellent atmosphere, with excellent drinks and above all, excellent service. We will return.

Located in the former Etta space on N Avenue, this is a beautifully designed restaurant, ideal for date night but certainly for groups as well. I was celebrating a birthday as originally listed in our reservation, and I also let our server know. We started with some cocktails (one with Mezcal and the other with bourbon and smoked, no not a smoky old fashion :)). We got the pan brioche , the crudo and the buffalo gnocchi. The brioche met the hype test and went great with the sauce poured table side in our crudo. The buffalo gnocchi was not a buffalo sauce like in your wings but closer to a vodka sauce but almost better. What was disappointing and hence I am knocking a star off was the fact that our server didn't acknowledge the birthday girl at our table and although, she got a piece of cake with a sparkler to the table next to ours, she didn't extend the same graciousness and generosity to us, even though she was aware of the birthday. The only difference was the other table ordered desert and got the freebie while we didn't order desert since we were pretty full. Oh well...life happens! Just disappointing when you're trying to celebrate something special.

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was a great choice! This new Italian steakhouse took the place of the previous restaurant, Etta. The vibes of this new spot is cozy and romantic with velvet touches. Great service as well! Pan brioche: This bread was the most buttery, flaky bread I've ever eaten!!! Soo dang good I could eat like 5 of these. The lamination is beautiful. Caviar bites: Not bad. I really just ordered this for the vibes cause I'm not super into caviar like that. Very cute and tasty. Comes with 2 bites. Wood fired Oysters: Comes with 6 oysters. I love cooked oysters over raw any day! Very delicious if this is up your alley. Ribeye: This steak was cooked to PERFECTION. We asked for medium. You get a butter sauce on the side but we also added the salsa verde which is basically chimichurri. It was seasoned so well and one of the best steaks I've had in a while. Buffalo ricotta gnocchi: Seems like a popular pasta dish. Pretty delicious and very saucy. The sauce kind of tasted like an elevated Chef Boyardee - but in a very good way. For dessert, they gave my husband a free birthday dessert with a sparkler which was so cute! It was like a mini vanilla cake with strawberries and ice cream. With that, we ordered the cannoli cones which blew us away! Super unique and delish. Comes on a candelabra which is such a vibe!!!

The ambiance of this place is awesome as well as the space is huge. Came here to celebrate a birthday. It's on the dark side interior with a small light for the table which makes it hard to see inside. Haha if that's not your vibe. Food was great my favorite was the buffalo gnocchi pasta and the meatballs. The chicken parm says it fits for 2 ppl but to be honest with ordering a variety of dishes we literally split that amongst 5 and still had leftovers... it almost looks like pizza slices but good! Overall enjoyed dinner and the vibe.

Kansas City strip, potato puree, broccolini, and filet

Wow Such a gorgeous restaurant right when you walk in. The ambience is sexy yet cozy (if that makes sense) I've been wanting to check this place out for a while. The first time here we didn't have a reservation so we got there at 5pm when they opened and sat at the bar. We definitely indulged in more drinks than food sitting there but it was totally worth it. Matty took care of us at the bar and he was great. The cocktails were delicious and the food was incredible. I'm usually a raw oysters person but we got the wood fired and they were amazing. We got the meatballs and they were some of the best I've ever had. On our first visit, it was during restaurant week and I got the steak frites and my bf got the Kansas City strip. The chef came out and said there was an issue with the temperature of the steak. He apologized and gave us a ricotta gnocchi on the house. All the food was great. Our second visit we made reservations and were sat upstairs. The enclosed patio area wasn't as cozy as the rest of the second floor. Our server (Scott?) was friendly and asked if we were celebrating anything special. We came for an anniversary dinner and Michael came by to give us some shots of tequila. We got raw oysters and a salad as a starter. Ordered the filet and the KC strip again. They were cooked perfectly. Our server mentioned they were going to be opening for brunch. Can't wait to come back and check out their brunch menu.

Can we here to meet friends and was not disappointed. The space is beautiful! Definitely make a reservation. Server was knowledgeable about food options and wait times. The four of us shared a bunch of dishes. Started with the bread, and Caesar salad. Bread was great flakey and warm. Caesar was okay, the dressing wasn't super rich and not enough of an anchovy taste for me. We also ordered the bolognese and the buffalo gnocchi. Both were amazing . The bolognese was filling. The gnocchi had great flavor but would not order as an entree. We got broccolini and mushrooms as sides. The mushrooms were cut small, flavored well, and crispy. Perfect! We also ordered steaks that were great as well. Pro tip: get the pistachio cheesecake (4 days later, and I'm still thinking about it)

Deliz really impressed me! The space is huge and gorgeous!! Such a good girls night vibe. We did have a reservation for 3 originally and I called to move it to 4 and they said no, and then we were seated at a 4 person table. That was a little bit frustrating. Their service here is so insanely quick. We did get two of our apps before drinks arrived. We were in and out of here in an hour. The brioche is so delicious and buttery, a very good starter! We got the wedge salad and this may have been my favorite dish of the night. Soooo flavorful, the dressing was perfect and the bacon was thick. We got the frites medium rare I loved this. It came with Parmesan fries and this was amazing. I would get this again if I come back! Our waiter recommended the buffalo gnocchi and I'm so glad he did! This gnocchi was so pillowy soft and melted in your mouth. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the buffalo but I loved it. My dirty martini was also very good. The olives are teeny tiny but still good!

Great overall experience at Dēliz Italian Steakhouse. We started with the mushrooms, hamachi crudo, cacio e pepe, bread, and all were so good. The Bolognese was another standout, rich and full of flavor. The Caesar salad and fries were just okay, nothing that stole the show, but they didn't take away from the experience. We also had to try dessert and I'm so glad we did. The tiramisu and pistachio cheesecake were both delicious. And the cocktails were so good. What really made the night was the service. Attentive, friendly, and everything flowed effortlessly. Great energy, great food, great drinks.

Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

The 'I Can't Believe It's Beer' has everything from mezcal and rooibos tea to guava and an aperitivo. I could ramble on about their menu, but I'd say just check Truce out yourself. You get what I'm saying. Their creative juices are clearly flowing, and they switch the menu up seasonally. They have some light bites too, but I really recommend them for cocktails and coffee. I wouldn't come here for dinner. They do drinks, so come here to drink. Plenty of very savvy-sounding N/A options, too. It's sleek, intimate, sexy, relaxed, and fun. Come through at 8 AM for a cocktail, roll through at 11 PM for a coffee, there's no judgment here. I'll be keeping an eye on Truce.

The ambiance is dark and moody inside, but I liked the music they had playing, and there was plenty of seating. They also had free Wi-Fi and outlets! Everything on their menu looked insanely good. I went with the B-A-N-A-N-A-S--it was very tasty, and the banana taste was very strong. It was definitely on the sweeter side so more of a dessert drink, but I enjoyed it. Everything on their menu looked so delicious and well thought out, so I definitely hope to try their other drinks! The service was very fast and friendly. I recommend this spot--will need to be back to try out their drinks in the future! FYI, they become 21+ after 5pm.
