The ambiance of this place is awesome as well as the space is huge. Came here to celebrate a birthday. It's on the dark side interior with a small light for the table which makes it hard to see inside. Haha if that's not your vibe. Food was great my favorite was the buffalo gnocchi pasta and the meatballs. The chicken parm says it fits for 2 ppl but to be honest with ordering a variety of dishes we literally split that amongst 5 and still had leftovers... it almost looks like pizza slices but good! Overall enjoyed dinner and the vibe.

Wow Such a gorgeous restaurant right when you walk in. The ambience is sexy yet cozy (if that makes sense) I've been wanting to check this place out for a while. The first time here we didn't have a reservation so we got there at 5pm when they opened and sat at the bar. We definitely indulged in more drinks than food sitting there but it was totally worth it. Matty took care of us at the bar and he was great. The cocktails were delicious and the food was incredible. I'm usually a raw oysters person but we got the wood fired and they were amazing. We got the meatballs and they were some of the best I've ever had. On our first visit, it was during restaurant week and I got the steak frites and my bf got the Kansas City strip. The chef came out and said there was an issue with the temperature of the steak. He apologized and gave us a ricotta gnocchi on the house. All the food was great. Our second visit we made reservations and were sat upstairs. The enclosed patio area wasn't as cozy as the rest of the second floor. Our server (Scott?) was friendly and asked if we were celebrating anything special. We came for an anniversary dinner and Michael came by to give us some shots of tequila. We got raw oysters and a salad as a starter. Ordered the filet and the KC strip again. They were cooked perfectly. Our server mentioned they were going to be opening for brunch. Can't wait to come back and check out their brunch menu.

So good! Some of the best food I've had in Chicago. The ricotta gnocci is to die for. Service was 10/10 and the vibe was really fun. One thing I will say though are the tables are PACKED. I wish they had just a couple less so you weren't so close. Overall though fantastic meal!

Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and it was a great choice! This new Italian steakhouse took the place of the previous restaurant, Etta. The vibes of this new spot is cozy and romantic with velvet touches. Great service as well! Pan brioche: This bread was the most buttery, flaky bread I've ever eaten!!! Soo dang good I could eat like 5 of these. The lamination is beautiful. Caviar bites: Not bad. I really just ordered this for the vibes cause I'm not super into caviar like that. Very cute and tasty. Comes with 2 bites. Wood fired Oysters: Comes with 6 oysters. I love cooked oysters over raw any day! Very delicious if this is up your alley. Ribeye: This steak was cooked to PERFECTION. We asked for medium. You get a butter sauce on the side but we also added the salsa verde which is basically chimichurri. It was seasoned so well and one of the best steaks I've had in a while. Buffalo ricotta gnocchi: Seems like a popular pasta dish. Pretty delicious and very saucy. The sauce kind of tasted like an elevated Chef Boyardee - but in a very good way. For dessert, they gave my husband a free birthday dessert with a sparkler which was so cute! It was like a mini vanilla cake with strawberries and ice cream. With that, we ordered the cannoli cones which blew us away! Super unique and delish. Comes on a candelabra which is such a vibe!!!

Can we here to meet friends and was not disappointed. The space is beautiful! Definitely make a reservation. Server was knowledgeable about food options and wait times. The four of us shared a bunch of dishes. Started with the bread, and Caesar salad. Bread was great flakey and warm. Caesar was okay, the dressing wasn't super rich and not enough of an anchovy taste for me. We also ordered the bolognese and the buffalo gnocchi. Both were amazing . The bolognese was filling. The gnocchi had great flavor but would not order as an entree. We got broccolini and mushrooms as sides. The mushrooms were cut small, flavored well, and crispy. Perfect! We also ordered steaks that were great as well. Pro tip: get the pistachio cheesecake (4 days later, and I'm still thinking about it)

Deliz really impressed me! The space is huge and gorgeous!! Such a good girls night vibe. We did have a reservation for 3 originally and I called to move it to 4 and they said no, and then we were seated at a 4 person table. That was a little bit frustrating. Their service here is so insanely quick. We did get two of our apps before drinks arrived. We were in and out of here in an hour. The brioche is so delicious and buttery, a very good starter! We got the wedge salad and this may have been my favorite dish of the night. Soooo flavorful, the dressing was perfect and the bacon was thick. We got the frites medium rare I loved this. It came with Parmesan fries and this was amazing. I would get this again if I come back! Our waiter recommended the buffalo gnocchi and I'm so glad he did! This gnocchi was so pillowy soft and melted in your mouth. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the buffalo but I loved it. My dirty martini was also very good. The olives are teeny tiny but still good!

Great overall experience at Dēliz Italian Steakhouse. We started with the mushrooms, hamachi crudo, cacio e pepe, bread, and all were so good. The Bolognese was another standout, rich and full of flavor. The Caesar salad and fries were just okay, nothing that stole the show, but they didn't take away from the experience. We also had to try dessert and I'm so glad we did. The tiramisu and pistachio cheesecake were both delicious. And the cocktails were so good. What really made the night was the service. Attentive, friendly, and everything flowed effortlessly. Great energy, great food, great drinks.

I went to Deliz for my first time this morning for brunch and it was a lovely experience through and through! To start, we sat on the porch upstairs (covered at the time due to the temperature) and I absolutely loved the ambiance. There were heaters on as well which I really appreciated given it was ~50 degrees. I ordered the Honey Dew Mimosa to start which was really refreshing and tasty. To eat, I ordered the Banana Bread and the Whipped Yogurt and Granola which I very much enjoyed both. The Banana Bread was probably some of the best I have ever had if I am being totally honest - the edges were crispy with a soft interior and the frosting on top was perfect. My fiancé ordered the Cinnamon Roll which was insanely HUGE and he mentioned it was good. Our service was awesome throughout the entire meal - I wish I remembered our waitress' name because she was incredibly kind and attentive from start to finish which was very much appreciated. We are looking forward to coming back for dinner! Thank you, Deliz, for a great first experience!

I wish there is a 4.5 rating option. I made reservations for Monday dinner here for my husband's birthday. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly at the ground floor dining area. The interior is neat and beautiful. The bathrooms are located at the second floor, and the upstairs space is wonderful as well. I'm going to make this short and sweet. Everything is DELICIOUS. Deliz Brioche - flaky, buttery, heavenly Tagliardi Bolognese - outstanding 32-Day Dry Aged Delmonico Ribeye- seasoned and cooked perfectly Wood fired oysters- appetizing Wood fired mushrooms- excellent Basque cheesecake and Cherry ice cream- perfect combination I would come back here, not just for the food, but for the cocktail called La Deliz Vida. It's addicting! The service is friendly but I cannot say that it's efficient. Our server was helpful. He gave us great recommendations. As the place got busier, finding him became challenging. We had to ask other staff members to ask questions, following up on drinks, ordering additional items, and getting the check. Overall, I had a great experience. I would love to come back and try other dishes. 'Til next time!

We came here on a Tuesday to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant has been open less than 2 months but was surprisingly busy considering it was cold and in the middle of the week. The decor is beautiful, service was fantastic and vibe is trendy (a bit loud for me but probably perfect for a younger crowd). We ordered a two different cocktails to start and they were pretty but personally I didn't really care for either. For food we got the oysters and split the delmonico ribeye with cheesy mash potatoes. The oysters were fine but I'd probably order something else next time. The steak was cooked perfectly, delmonicos are thinner than I care for, but it was delicious so we didn't mind. The potatoes were also fantastic, a bit too cheesy for me but my husband thought they were perfect. The prices are pretty high for the neighborhood but we still plan to come back.

I must say I was super disappointed when Etta closed because it's one of our neighborhood staples but the Deliz does not disappoint! It kept similar sultry vibes with almost a speakeasy kind of feeling. The menu is a bit more upscale, and therefore a little more expensive but everything we tried was delicious. We took advantage of restaurant week and added the seafood elevation this time. Meatballs 4/5 Crudo 5/5 Veal and Boar Bolognese 5/5 Steak Frites 4/5 Pistachio Cheesecake 4/5 Gelato (chocolate) 3/5 - would love some more interesting flavors Seafood Elevation 5/5 The seafood elevation battles Maple and Ash for the best seafood tower in Chicago. I think it's a little bit less expensive and it also includes scallops which we really enjoyed. I would definitely come back for this and to try another steak cut.

Saw a tik tok video and the food looked good so my team at work decided to dine in for restaurant week and I'm so glad we did. The ambiance and decor is just lovely here. The staff are all nice and welcoming including the owner who stopped by and talked with us for a minute. Super down to earth and kind gentleman. From the restaurant week menu, I ordered a wedge salad, skirt steak frites and pistachio cheesecake. All absolutely delicious including the damn salad!! Every dish was full of flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly! My entire team enjoyed their food and we all agreed that we will be back. The future looks bright for this new business!

Deliz Italian Steakhouse was such a great experience. Valet was $18 and easy, and we were seated in about 10 minutes, which felt pretty quick for a busy night. We started with the pan brioche and it was so yummy soft, buttery, and honestly hard to stop eating. The grilled octopus was surprisingly tender and tasted like chicken in the best way, not chewy at all. The pasta was great rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Service was fast and attentive from start to finish, and everything came out smoothly without feeling rushed. For dessert, we tried the pistachio cheesecake and it didn't even taste like a traditional cheesecake super light, not overly sweet, and really unique. Overall, this is a perfect spot for a date night or a girls' night out. Great ambiance, solid food, and efficient service. Definitely worth checking out.

It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!
