If you're considering RGA because they claim to work closely with Reform, just know-- they did not provide any efficiencies. Quite the opposite. I would never purchase from here again.

If your looking for a $40 or $1,000+ item, check Consumer Reports or other reliable sources for product information--not the seller's website. Fourth, to put it simply, for well over a half century! In the end, they hung up without making a call to the deliverymen until the deliverymen called, making the delivery. The prices can be a good steal, especially if you pay in cash because you wouldn't have to pay the extra taxes--they'll include it into the price. But just be warned that there can be hiccups on the delivery and it'll be best if you avoid this store if you know there will be questions, issues or concerns. They won't answer any of it.

Being handy, I had changed the door seal that corroded with a brand new original factory seal but still saw a small leak so i called Expert who I used many times before. They sent their dishwasher "expert" who said the seal was perfect, fiddled around, and when he could not fix it, said try it for a couple of weeks to see if seal molded into place, but he didn't think it would so plan to buy a new dishwasher. I told him it looked to me like the door wasn't sealing tightly enough and he insisted it would not turn on if that was the case. A couple of weeks later the leak persisted so I called back and spoke to a manager who said if the tech couldn't fix it, a repair wasn't possible. He said they'd send the same tech out again but he insisted he was positive no repair was possible and there would be another charge. I called a local competitor who did exactly what I suggested to Expert in the first place -- make the door seal tightly -- and what do you know-- no more leak! Of course, now having two techs visits I paid twice for a repair that should have been done the first time. I contacted Expert last week via their online appointment site asking for an apology and for wasting my time and money and a refund. No response. This is no way to treat a 20+ year customer. I'll never use Expert again and will make sure I suggest their competitor to everyone I know.

The guy takes one Quick Look at the label on the tank and says "oh, Taiwan, poor quality". Don't ask me how he could determine that just by looking at the outside of the tank. Everything I've read about the average life of an expansion tank says five to ten years. This expansion tank lasted over 13 years, so how could it be "poor quality"? Based on the information that this contractor provided Choice, they denied my claim. Meanwhile this contractor took my $85 and provided nothing in return! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I still remember Pearl River in the early 2000s. Two full floors and the go to spot for anything and everything Chinese: snacks, dry goods, stationery, art supplies, home goods. Walking in felt like stepping into a small piece of China right in NYC. It felt layered, authentic, and full of discovery. Fast forward a few years and Pearl River moved to Broadway in SoHo. It was still two floors, more spacious, and if I remember correctly, it had an entrance on Broadway and another toward the back (I can't recall the exact cross street). Even through its moves, it retained that sense of depth and cultural immersion. I recently stopped by the current SoHo location. It's now just one floor. The layout is open and well organized, but noticeably smaller in scope. They carry a mix of items: a small selection of blind boxes, modernized gift items, Chinese art and figurines, cupware and fine plateware, a modest kitchenware section toward the back, a small apparel and footwear area, and a reduced stationery section. A small book section with more small figurines. They also carry a small but thoughtful selection of loose leaf teas, snacks, and pantry staples. It's still cute. The prices are reasonable. There are definitely thoughtful and modern touches. But if I'm being honest, it feels different. More condensed. More curated. Slightly Americanized. And maybe that's just nostalgia talking. I experienced what Pearl River once was, and that version was special. It's not bad. It's just not the Pearl River I remember.
