I WOULD NOT GIVEN THEM EVEN ONE STAR!!!! I have been a client for over 20 years. Just wanted one dishwasher. Now awaiting it for THREE DAYS!! No lie! First they tried to deliver it after the building was closed (2 hours after the latest "delivery window" quoted.) Next, the unit was wrecked as they took it out of the packaging. TODAY THE TRUCK SUPPOSEDLY BROKE DOWN!!! Still on hold to resolve. So much for the "Best in Customer Service" on their endless hold-line loop. Bad experience from start to finish. Purchased two Subzero appliances. Delivery was delayed but Drimmers didn't let me know. Installer was not trained, experienced or qualified (and admitted this while repeatedly complaining about Drimmers sending him out). Failed to protect the wood floor, gouging it with many deep scratches. The units sit side by side but one was left taller and not in the same alignment. The door SLAMS shut instead of gently closing, indicating the unit is tilted back. Then Drimmers refused to send a competent installer who could do it right. Very unprofessional. read more

Horrible customer service: they hang up the phone on you when you need them, tell lies in your face, sell you defective appliances, and feel free to vandalize items In your own home while taking no responsibility. I never write reviews. This is a first. But after, accidentally, reading, albeit too late, the awful reviews about used, refurbished, or display items out of warranty, and damage to customer property with no responsibility taking, I felt that it is my responsibility towards others in my community not to be duped by Drimmers as we have been. Here is our story, one of very many similar, shorter or longer ones from customers of Drimmers Brooklyn who reluctantly allocated one star only. We purchased a new washing machine because we needed a bigger one. We explained before the purchase, to an all honey salesperson, Miri, that we want to donate the old washing machine to a family in need from one of the boroughs and even specified that we just had the door latch fixed, so we give it honorably, in perfect condition. I insisted that she adds this information on our purchase file, for her records, ours, and that of the delivery people - so the old washing machine is handled with care. The all honey salesperson, Miri (remember this name - you don't want to miss her at Drimmers) recorded our request, we read it black on white in our invoice and she assured us that the note will appear on the delivery form. On our inquiry, Miri promised to ask the delivery people if they can deliver the old machine to a borough - for additional payment directly to them from us. It turns out that Miri never told or asked the delivery men anything, and our note was never put on the delivery forms. So, on the day of the delivery, while I was holding the front door for one of the delivery men to get the new washing machine in the apartment, the other, went straight to the washing machine closet (door was open and could be seen) In seconds he pulled the old appliance out by its door and broke its hinges! (all this after our spending over $169 to repair its latch, remember?). As I was screaming "stop stop" he jumped over the washing machine, behind it, and cut the hose!!! Pictures attached. Then, although we paid for the removal to the storage downstairs, the delivery men disappeared leaving a vandalized appliance in the common floor corridor. We had to pay $80 to remove it so we would not be fined $500! I called Miri, who had been very nice when she was interested in selling, and she simply started yelled at me, & hanged up. (other reviews also write that this is Drimmers preferred practice). We called again asking for a technician to be sent to repair the door & hose. No one was sent. We spent another $180 for a technician to assess the damage. The repair, including the $180 Is: $777! When we called again, explaining that this is the cost, and would they please send a technician to fix the vandalized door & hose, the nice Mrs Miri started shouting yet again in a high soprano pitch, and said: "GO SUE US IN COURT!!!" It appears this is Drimmers' MOTTO according to other Drimmersreviews. Oh, and almost forgot: she hanged up on us again! Dear co-Drimmers victims: If anyone sued Drimmers successfully please let us have his or her lawyer's #. Maybe the Drimmers victims should get together for a big claim??Victims of Drimmers unite! The saga continues: we sent an email to the owner, Mr. Drimmer, BUT ALAS he cited Miri the soprano & her lies. I don't want to bore you with all, but basically she pointed the finger at us that We Did Not Warn the delivery men Not To Vandalize our property while they were in our apartment, and therefore it is our fault! She lied saying we never told her we wanted the washing machine donated. She forgot herself wrote on the invoice that we need it "in the borough" (to be donated there). Poor Mr Saul Drimmer! He believed the lying soprano, Can you imagine, how his life work and reputation are going down the drain because he has the staff he still keeps after all the awful reviews about them. He probably hasn't read, poor man, the reviews as we haven't before! Mr Saul Drimmer"generously" offered us as a gesture of goodwill $120 inclusive of the $20 we paid for the non-removed vandalized washing machine from the corridor, and not even making up for the vandalism repair ($777+169 latch+$80 to move the appliance left in the commoncorridor) & for making us lose face by not keepping our promise to donate. And if the suspense of this epic saga is too much for you, I will reveal that in the last episode 1.) We never received the $120; 2.) Drimmers never sent anyone to repair the vandalized appliance; 3) 4 months later, the NEW washing machine just stopped working, shows rust spots & the rubber around the dooropening detached. Excellent service from A to Z. Needed a new stove hood. Called and spoke to Fran. She immediately emailed me links to all choices that fit my parameters. Chose one and she ordered the unit as well as the kits necessary to finish it off. Scheduled installation and removal of old hood at same time. Literally the WORST place to buy appliances. The prices might be competitive but the customer service and management are horrible. They delivered a Bosch dryer that was full of scratches and refused to replace it. They offered to have someone come to fix the scratches and no one ever showed up. I tried contacting my salesman, Marcelo, and he was useless. No one responds to messages or emails. I'm surprised this company is still in business. read more

Disclaimer: This review is not based on an actual purchase. That being said, I have a feeling I would've gotten MUCH better service if I was in the market for a Wolf or Viking range stove or SubZero fridge or other high-end kitchen appliance (all beautiful, all completely out of my price range). But instead, I wanted to shop local, support a local appliance store, screw the big box stores. The lady who ended up assisting me was a bit curt after she found out I wanted a specific not high-end fridge. And she told me there was no way she would match the price I had ("she wouldn't be making any money") or price match or throw in a free delivery. The item in question was actually the same price in some of the other big box stores, but I was looking for a deal. The shipping, however, tipped it over to the priciest of all the stores I looked at. It's unfortunate to me that unless I was about to do a kitchen reno of $30K, she wasn't all that interested in my business. Seriously, how bougie can "local" NYC stores get? And how does she know I won't one day be able to afford a super-kitchen? (I guess by then, she might not be around to get the commission.) PS I got my appliances at Home Depot. Do not go to PC Richards. They were a bunch of dolts there. read more

I had been trying to buy a stackable washer/dryer, but there were a number of issues that needed to be sorted out first. fran not only called the manufacturer, but did so on her private cell phone while she was kept on hold for about an hour. when the issues were resolved, she emailed me over 30 pages of information concerning my choices, and we clinched the deal over the phone. one week later, I had my washer/dryer installed within an hour. Fran Asaro at Drimmer's was incredibly helpful to me, and to and many of the other residents in my building as well, when, this summer, we had a complete gas shutoff in our building due to a serious gas leak and we each needed to replace our beloved gas stoves with electric ones. Fran patiently and knowledgeably answered all of my umpteen questions as I sought to choose from several Consumer Reports recommended electric induction stoves. I ultimately settled on an LG induction stove, which I now utterly love cooking on, and I couldn't have done it without Fran's assistance! The stove is fantastic, and the price that Fran and Drimmer's gave me was by far the lowest in the tristate region. Also, delivery was a dream. In the future, when and if I need to buy any large appliance, I'll absolutely order it from Fran Asaro at Drimmer's--I can't recommend her, and Drimmer's, highly enough! read more

I ordered a set of kitchen appliances that cost me more than $20,000.00. They promised a good service and delivery. Now it has been more than 2 month that I have paid in full but some appliances arrived yet. I have spent so much time on emailing, calling and being on hold. I asked for talking to a manager but got rejected. They said they don't have a manger and there is only an owner. But they don't let me to talk to the owner or email him. They put me on a long hold in purpose so I could give up on my call. I can't do county inspection because I don't have all appliances and I have to pay one full month of rent if I don't get all appliances by Friday. Drimmer's has cost me so much problems and issues so far. I will never recommend them. I called them many times today. Still they don't know where my appliances are and when i can get them! read more

The sale process, all done by phone and email, was fine. Once the order was placed however, no more information was available. The shipping time I was given came and went, a month passed and Drimmers would not provide any additional information. I had to escalate to their distributor to get information. I have never experienced worse customer service. We are on our third day now of waiting for installers from Drimmers to show up and install the refrigerator. They continue to tell us "it will be done today" (with no time frame offered) and then continue to fail to show up. So now for the third day straight I am sitting at home waiting the whole day for someone to show up. The refrigerator is in the middle of the room, leaning forward, and we've set up chairs around it in order to barricade it in case it falls while one of our children is walking past it. I hate to post a bad review of a business, but I just can't seem to get their attention and don't know what else to do. read more

I called to get pricing on all high end appliances; 42" sub zero, 27" sub zero wine cooler, 48" wolf, bosch dishwasher AND Lg washer and dryer. The sales girl was going to get right back to me. Days later I called and requested a quote- nothing? Called one last time and was told she would get right back to me. Looks like I'm taking my business elsewhere. We purchased a wine cooler that was advertised to cool the unit between 40-60 degrees. What it did was somehow cool each of the 5 shelves a different temp starting at the bottom at 35 to 55 at the top. Fran our sales person agreed to ask uline to replace the unit as a defective model. Uline contends it is supposed to operate that way. How and why someone has a use for that kind of refrigeration for wine I do not know. Once uline said it is supposed to work that way Drimmers and Fran from the Flatiron store disappeared altogether and will not even respond to our requests to return it and purchase one that is useful. Terrible customer service. Fran was just not interested in selling a single item in the range or $1,400 and made it pretty clear that this wasn't worth her time. Would not price match and gave incorrect information about available rebates. Maybe the Brooklyn store is better.
