    Got this beauty today
    Esther T.

I was in the Flower District last month to check out every shop on the block. I bookmarked this shop due to good reviews. They have a good selection. Although, nothing really called my name except for air plants. They had the most selection and best prices amongst all the shops there. It's my first air plant, so I want to see how I do with one before buying more. So that's all I got from them. I have to agree with everyone that the owner is extremely nice. Even though I spent just $5, he really took the time to advise me on the plant care, and engaged in conversation about what I researched on the internet. My air plant is doing great and bloomed 2 weeks after I got it.

    $20 ZZ plant

Went here in December after receiving damaged plants from the Sill. Picked up a healthy $20 zz plant (compared to $60 on the sill). I also talked to the owner, who was very helpful! He taught me how to water the plant properly & placing it by the window sill would be perfect. Ever since then it just keeps growing! My plant is so happy, it grew 9 new branches (crazy!!) Don't spend your money on overpriced plants online. Go to your local nurseries, you'll find much cheaper & healthier plants there

I woke up on a Saturday morning and spontaneously decided I wanted to be a plant owner, so I naturally visited the floral district on West 28th Street. If you find yourself in the same position as me, I highly recommend Noble Plants on West 28th Street. My partner and I spent close to an hour roaming the shop's wide array of options from 1 inch succulents to massive tropical plants. I ended up purchasing 3 plants and I am already eager to buy more! The owner, George, is extremely helpful and makes sure that you leave knowing exactly how to keep your new plant babies alive. He is very passionate about giving plants a proper home where they can thrive and grow. I will DEFINITELY be back to buy more plants and to update George on my existing plants!

Beautiful plants for great prices. I love how the storeowners are so attentive to both their plants and their customers. They try their best to be readily available, and I love their tips for caring for the plants as soon as you buy them. He explained to me: "the plants are only as good as you take care of them." I almost picked out a plant that was going bad, and they were quick to point it out. I don't think I've had a more pleasurable experience in any other plant store. Yes, it's rather small and not set up as a beautiful greenhouse. However, I feel that the product and customer service far outweighs the store's interior design. I think I've found my favorite NYC plant shop.

Amazing selection of succulents! Not to mention the owners are an adorable couple and are super helpful. They set me up with plenty of options, clay potters and even sent me home with a tiny bag of free soil- sparing me the $5 bucks for a bag I don't need. I did check out another shop, a few storefronts down but the succulents were not as healthy and the selection was bleak. Trust me, you will love this place.

after failing to find the succulents i was looking for at home depot, yelp led me to this wonderful mom-and-pop shop. it's run by an elderly couple and although it's small, it's very well stocked. i definitely took my time to check out all the succulents and picked various plants for my terrarium. the elderly gentleman who helped me checked out did a great job packing up my purchase (4 small succulents) to make sure they get home safely with me. he also talked to me about how to care for them. he was very thorough and knowledgeable about his work. when i told him i was gonna make a terrarium, he was very vehemently against it, said it's bad for the plants and they will die. while this was going on, someone came in looking for a specific plant. he told her that's it's not in season now and he doesn't have it. however, he referred her to check out other stores in the area. wow! referring business to your competitors, who does that anyway? anyway, this place is wonderful, the elderly couple is awesome, i'll be back for more should my terrarium failed (or succeeded!). :-)

    My beautiful noble plants!

I called Plant Le Bacle and spoke to Michael (I believe he is the owner). He was absolutely wonderful. He spent time explaining what will work (and last) and what won't- told me not to spend too much on plants now since they will mostly die in Nov anyway- he didn't try to sell me anything- but instead he gave me his honest opinion about what will work and what won't. He even asked me to send him pictures of my balcony so he can help me more. For someone who is new to city gardening I couldn't have called anyone more helpful and honest- so glad I called!

(The most important part) We fully acclimate our plants. Other companies ship plants directly from Florida to offices in New York. The drop in lighting is significant, which causes the plants to go into shock. This reduces the chance for the plants to survive in New York. Our plants are much heartier because they are already prepared for the low light office conditions. The office plants we sell are also guaranteed to be of the best quality available. When you call PLB you will be talking to experts with over 40 years of experience in the indoor and outdoor horticultural business. A large part of our business is installing and maintaining office plants. Maintenance and care includes watering, cleaning, pruning, preventing and killing insects, and plant replacement (at our expense) should your plant die. Michael's (the owner) love of the outdoors keeps the business involved in designing and installing apartment terraces and penthouse terraces. The important part of outdoor work is picking the right species of trees and bushes for each location. Even though Manhattan is in zone 6B, which is very misleading, when the North West Wind (the killer wind) blows, temperatures will plummet. The vegetation freezes and the wind dehydrates and kills it. Example last year. *Our New York address is just our office. Please call.
