Can't say enough about the staff at Dynamite Tool. I'm just a home repair / woodworking guy, and the selection, prices and help that RJ and his team offered really make a huge difference. I place 2 orders for a 10 pack of saw blades from them. They were priced at $10/10pack. Well, they don't honor their advertised prices. They wanted another $69 for a 10 pack. That made it $79 instead of $10. Don't waste your time with these people. You advertise a price. HONOR IT! They claimed it was a typo. It doesn't matter. You advertise a price, you have to honor it. This company is a joke I placed an order and called them to make sure that they got it and to see how fast they would ship it. The girl that answered couldn't help. Was a great place at one time, When owner Rich,counter person Brian & Bill were there. They had all the answers for what ever you needed or problem you had.... Now service and their knowledge of what the sell is pathetic... I was a regular since 1994.... They've changed the store format about a year ago where they group all tools from 1 brand together, making comparing, for example a drill, from different manufactures impossible. They also don't stock specialty items anymore... Couldn't get a Malco Brand long beak snips for months.... read more

Could the customer service be worse? They are literally ignoring phone calls and emails. Trying to resolve a problem with an order that they haven't shipped in two weeks. I haven't yet seen a place on Long Island that sells every tool you can think of with out standing customer service. Dynamite tools is where I buy all my equipment from. With RJ being my main salesman he is just great. He will work so hard to get you the best price for the equipment and with the best price he also has an awesome repair service center in the back of the shop. If anything needs to get fix they can fix it and they do it fast. RJ and he's employees are just hands down great people and will always find away to work with you and make you happy. I have been dealing with RJ at Dynamite Tool to help grow my business for the last 10 years. They have mostly everything in stock and if not will order it and have it for you within a couple of days. They also service everything they sell! Its not like going to a big box store and not knowing what to buy and what to do if it breaks. The prices are always reasonable. This company is TERRIBLE. They charged me months ago, and never shipped my order. The worst part about this is that they admit everything, but keep telling me that they can't do anything because the item was supposed to be drop shipped from the manufacturer. They told me that they would refund my shipping, but I have not received any refund. I just hope that nobody else has to lose money to this terrible company. Update: After a week of calling them on the phone, I finally got my money back. They were really rude about it, but I'm just glad to be done with them. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY! It is lame. I had to open a PayPal refund case for poor customer service (poor website information), which they denied. They have excluded critical information on their checkout webpage. I paid $50 on a Thursday night for a FedEx Overnight Priority Delivery, which I presumed would be delivered no later than a couple of days (by Saturday), but I did not receive the time-sensitive item until the following Monday. They don't tell you they only ship and have FedEx deliveries on "weekdays" only, when you select that particular shipping option. When I complained about the critically missing information and requested a full refund, they provided excuses. Terrible company. I dropped off my jackhammer for new motor brushes and was hit with a $265.00 bill when I went to pick it up. Without my knowledge or authorization they "decided" it needed a complete rebuild. They refused to accept their mistake and insisted I pay the bill or leave the building. I called the police who unfortunately could not force them to give me the tool back. The three separate individuals I dealt with all conveniently remembered my dropping the tool off the day before but did not recall any of our conversation regarding the repair I requested. I needed the tool the next day on a job and was forced to pay for the unauthorized repairs in order to get the tool back. As a matter of principal I am going to file a lawsuit to recover my money. I am also reporting them to consumer affairs and the better business bureau. This is a company I suggest you Stay Away From. read more

Absolute worst customer service I've ever dealt with I would never buy a another tool from this place again... Bought brand new drills one month prior guys at front desk were great, had a rigid flaring tool break called service nothing but a problem from the first day I brought it in to find out three weeks later and turning down over $5000 worth of work because I didn't have this tool that it wasn't under warranty. when they said it would be. telling me three weeks later that I need the receipt to process the warranty this would've been good knowledge three weeks prior. Being in the service business I know you need receipts sometimes to process warranties and I would've just bought a new tool three weeks ago knowing I did not have the receipt not to mention the guy at dynamite tool proceeded to tell me I had a shitty attitude and cursed at me on the phone before hanging up on me. read more

I have been there a few times. Sometimes they have what I need and other times they do not. The staff is pretty friendly and know their stuff. Sometimes it is a pain getting help because they are kind of spread thin, but if you are patient you will always get the answer you are looking for. I dont mind spending a few more bucks to shop here, I would rather support a local business than give my cash to big corporations. Just my two cents. read more

I looked them up on BBB and they received an F. I should have checked there first. Please be very careful what you purchase online from this company. I purchased a very expensive 24V Lithium battery for my cordless weed eater- it did not fit. I called to have it exchanged and found out that no 24V battery existed to fit my model. When I asked for a refund they charged me a 15% restocking fee. The battery is brand new, obviously never used because I couldn't make it fit if I wanted to. Now I am out shipping both ways and restocking fee, about $40 dollars AND HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. WASTED $40. After trying to discuss the matter with customer service (because there online statement read MAY BE subject to restocking fee for what they consider customer convenience, I received a long, hateful email that ended in: "you should be smarter about how you spend your money.Maybe even do a little homework before you make a purchase would be the prudent thing to do. Instead,I guess its easier to blame someone else because you were just to lazy to research what you were buying.So now you expect eveyone else to pay for your laziness .And why not ruin there reputation while I'm in this destructive mood,after all I'm a customer,I'm always RIGHT." If I could leave a negative star rating.... I would. Bait and switch is the name of the game and if you don't like it, they'll refund your money and be rude about it. I tried in good faith to resolve things, even offering some possible solutions to the problem to no avail. So much for a company that claims to value customer satisfaction. I will never attempt to spend my money here again. I'm not a big fish, but you would think they would be happy to have part of the $5,000 a year budget for tools and accessories that I have. I'm sure their competitors will not complain though. What happened? I tried to place a $289 order which included a 25 pack of Fein Multimaster blades. A couple days later I get an email stating that the 25 pack has been "discontinued" and "replaced" with a 10 pack for $6 less. I politely replied in a somewhat lengthy email that although I do understand mistakes happen, this sounded a bit on the bait-and-switch side of things and would like to know how we can resolve the issue. Their response was that the price on the 25 pack was a "mistake" because their competitor had it listed for $125 more (well, is it discontinued or a price error? I'm getting a little confused here) and offered free shipping (wow, thanks a LOT). I again politely responded that perhaps I had not made myself clear, 10 blades for $6 less and free shipping is a far cry from what I ordered and that we needed to work out something more acceptable, and listed options, such as offering two 10 packs of some other blade (there are other 10 packs that two of them would be slightly higher than the price for the 25 pack). The reply was quick and rude, that the "supervisor" instructed them to cancel my order. So if you want to waste time and have your order canceled, then this may be the place to order from. read more

I have been going here since they opened in their old location. I have never had a problem and found prices reasonable. I never dealt with them through the website, but going in person is always a treat. The sales people don't hover but will help you if you ask for it. I purchased a tool that was on sale. The following day I received an email that they had run out of stock. As I had paid for expedited shipping I called to see if they would work with me. I received an email about 45 minutes later that this to was a limited time, limited quantity item and since they had run out they weren't going to honor my purchase at that price. Additionally if I still wanted the item I had to pay an extra $150 that is supposedly out of stock but doesn't show that way online. It wouldn't get me the tool any faster either. I started my communications with them about half way through their work day and their website still showed the sale price. As soon as I said something the price went up and doesn't reflect an out of stock item. I believe this to be a bait and switch operation. DO NOT PURCHACE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I do not believe they will stand behind their business offerings. read more
