He was so caring and funny and took my mind right off of being afraid. I stuck with him and through the years took my kids to see him. Since then, my entire family became patients. Alas, all good things come to an end. He's retired and I will miss him greatly and all of the staff of wonderful ladies. I've only had limited contact with the new dentist so really have no impression but do not hear good things from my family members. This was my first time at Bridgeport family dental and I just needed to get a cleaning since my insurance allows for two a year and I'd only had one so far. Let me get right to the point, my dental hygienist was extremely rude and condescending the entire 45 minute visit. Her tone of voice and the way she would talk were just unbelievable. Let me give you an example. One time while she was cleaning I let her know it was hurting and was a little rough. Some background: I have no problem with the dentist and don't have any nerves. I don't ever get uncomfortable or really feel any pain during a normal cleaning so this in itself was unusual. Jody's response was - "Oh so you DON'T want me to get the tartar out" in an extremely rude tone! Is that seriously how they talk to a patient here? This was just one of many examples. When the dentist came in, I was ready to let him know my experience but Jody was still hovering behind so I decided to write this review instead. I've never been treated like this at a dentist office and I really expected better from a place with so many 5 star reviews. Jody needs some serious training. Suffice to say I'll be going back to my normal dentist after this.

Dr Lin's office is the perfect size and local vs a franchise. Hours are great. Never have to wait months to be seen and appointments arent rushed. The front staff are all very courteous, Connie is so sweet and great with insurance/pricing questions! My hygienist, Alyssa, was very thorough and careful (I usually hate cleanings, they can be painful when you have sensitive gums), and doctor Shawn Lin is very meticulous with his work and kind. Not knowing anything about him and yet hoping he would take care of me. Dr. Arnstein did my first cleaning and told me I had great teeth! (Yeay since I haven't seen a dentist for over 2 years). I also had a root canal that had not been filled and instead of recommending an expensive crown as another dentist had, he said that it could be done with a filling! Another YEAY! My anxiety to have the filling done was mounting....I had to reschedule the appointment. The receptionist who is a complete sweetheart, got me in on a cancellation 2 days later. Love her. Had the filling done and it is amazing. It feels like I have full use of my mouth again. Dr. Arnstein seems to know everything about teeth. A plus when he is poking around in your mouth with sharp objects. The way he handled my filling was nothing short of spectacular. He was so quick and it wasn't totally painless but the tooth was in really bad shape. But, I was in and out in about 30 minutes. With no real pain the next day....I was pretty shocked because I thought I was going to be out the whole weekend.(My appointment was on a friday) If you have a choice with insurance or just want to go to a cool dentist who leaves you pain free, Dr. Arnstein is the guy. He and his staff made me feel like I was part of a family. Honestly, I hope I don't have any more dental issues soon but I know if I do they will take really good care of me.
