The only complaint I have is that they are not respectful of time. I show up all the time for appointments and I'm always waiting more than an hour. They over book and the last time I was here. The tech took her sweet time as if she was doing it on purpose. She made us wait an extra half hour cause she was doing who know what. Heard her gossiping in the hallway. I almost feel like showing up an hour and a half late next time read more

My wife recommended me to them, then I took my brother, and the list goes on. They take really good care of you, the front desk is very friendly and professional such as the amazing staff. read more

Romo Dental - Unacceptable having people standing for ever - General Dentistry Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This a very traumatizing experience. I was told one thing and made to believe another. I was told it was 60 dollars for an exam. I asked if I went ahead with some work, would it be taken off the bill, they said "yes". Thier internet was not working, so I asked if the dentist could still take a look at me and do some work, they said yes, so I drove down to the office and the dentist examined me and told me I had 2 cavities and that was most likely the cause of the pain, but he could not do anything because of no internet. Luckily, I was able to make an appointment at their other office 2 days later. When I arrived, the dentist seemed to be surprised I returned for my appointment. He examined me again and my cavities went from 2, to 4, to 6. The assistant who took my x rays kept retaking my x rays over and over again which cannot be good for anybody. They brought me a paper for the cost of the work, I asked the assistant, "Is this the total for everything?" (The x-rays were not included) She said "yes". So, I told them to do only 4 teeth because of the price. The dentist proceeded to drill away. After all, four teeth he kept on drilling on one tooth until I told him to stop. Then he said I had one cracked tooth. I went to pay my bill and the bill was different than what they told me. (A charge for the x rays and did not take off the exam fee $60.00). I asked for explanations, but I don't think they understood me. They just kept saying "This is how much it is and that's it." It's been about a week, and I am still in pain, but I am not going back there. I do not recommend this place. read more

The doctors are ok, the technicians are excepcional, friendly and they really care about the patient. The ladies at front desk really friendly but the guy, ufff!!! he's not friendly, he doesn't help at all, I fell he doesn't know how to do his job. I don't like at all when he is there. read more

I have been to Romo Dental a couple to times now and I have to say its a good place to visit. Romo Dental office is clean and the wait is not long. I would recommend his place if your looking for a good dental office. WALK INS ARE WELCOME. The only bad experience I had is the front desk receptionists aren't too friendly. Once you get passed them ...your fine! Everyone else is super nice. read more

I been 4 times and I simply loved it! The 4 times the waiting time was about 10 min for me and my kids. They were very helpful had lots of patience for me and my two toddlers which one of them has special needs. I will highly recommend dentist: Dr.Rosales and hygienist Maura! They are simply the best! read more

I've been taking my kids here for a while for their dentist checkups, the place is great and most of staff is great too (except for that one receptionist lady with the mole). She always has a sassy attitude likes she's doing you the favor by making the next appointment. Also not a fan of the Orthodontist (which I don't recommend) he's only there on Tuesday's. When my child went for the Tightening of the braces, my kid would say the orthodontist was always rude to his staff (which made my kid very uncomfortable). The only time I met the orthodontist was when my kid got the braces on, never seen him again, no communication on how the process was going or even when braces came off. Also, I didn't like the fact they don't show you how to properly maintain your retainer, for the amount of money you pay they should demonstrate the process. He's just unprofessional disconnected Orthodontist. I should have done more research on him, but I hope this helps someone. read more

The ir Services is great the only thing is that there I kind of a long wait after your arrival if u had an appointment. That would be the only thing that's bothers me though but like I said their services are great as well the attendants friendly and kind. No doubt been coming for mor than a 2 years and will keep on coming read more

Very rude receptionist! Worst customer service I've experienced in a dentist office. I hope they work on getting better staff!! Don't recommend. read more

Romo Dental is clean, professional, has state of the art equipment, and the staff are very knowledgeable. Since I've started going to Romo Dental, I have noticed a huge improvement in my teeth and am now more confident in flashing my pearly whites every opportunity I get! The dental hygienists are always very thorough and walk you step by step on your procedure. They're always happy to answer any questions and help you feel at ease if you have any worries (phobias) about going to the dentist. Romo Dental is very family friendly and I highly recommend it to all my family and friends! read more

I went to Romo Dental because it is close to my house and my new insurance plan at the time didn't cover my previous dentist. Romo Dental is very state of the art, with the latest and greatest equipment...which is probably expensive and perhaps explained why so much dental work was recommended for me. But I'm getting ahead of myself...first I make an appointment and when I get there at the correct time, I wait over an hour. When I get in there, I find that although my insurance covers the x-rays, exam and cleaning, it only covers a "light" cleaning. If I want to have the tartar scraped off, that is extra. I had never heard of that before. So I had no cleaning done to my teeth that day. The dentist is very nice and pleasant. The first thing she tells me is that my wisdom teeth should be taken out due to cavities. I've had my wisdom teeth for over 15 years, so this is a surprise. I don't want them removed and when I balked, she quickly backtracked and said the they didn't NEED to be removed, it was just a suggestion. They take x-rays and she does the normal poking in my mouth. Turns out I have 8 cavities. 8!!! I've had 1 cavity in the previous 5 years and now I have 8?! She shows me in an oral camera some grey spots and I am mortified. She cannot fill the cavities right then and it will take 2 visits to get them all. I was leaving my job for another and couldn't get in before I left (and had to change insurance). Thank God!!! Fast forward to 6 months later. I now have different insurance coverage, so I go back to my previous dentist, Dr. Joseph Cappello. Turns out he could not find 8 cavities...or 4 cavities...or 2 cavities...or even 1 cavitiy. 6 months later, I had NO cavities and had my teeth scraped, cleaned and polished all for nothing, as my insurance covered the whole thing. Of course he doesn't have all that fancy equipment. read more

I have been taking my kids to Romo Dental for the past 5 years, great dental office, the complaint is that even if you have an appointment be ready to wait for over an hour, last time it was an hour an a half.. Update--dentist told us our kid had mutiple cavities, went for a second opinion-- lets just said she had the multiple wrong-- 3 stars because i had been coming here for a long time-- see my review for the place a went for 2nd opinion. read more

After years of going to a dentist in downtown Chicago, I was told that I needed a root canal. I went to Romo Dental to get a second opinion. Mr. Romo informed me I had a tooth that was longer then the rest and shaved that one tooth. Problem solved, no root canal. I have been going to Romo Dental ever since. The staff is great to deal with and very informative, no more dreading going to the dentist every 6 months. read more

I have been going to Romo Dental for almost 2 years now and every time I have always had great service. I tend to go into panic mode whenever I hear the drill or see a needle and they are always very patient with me and talk me through everything they are going to do. I found this diamond in the rough after my dentist retired. I had my wisdom teeth removed (they were impacted) with relative ease. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and professional. I always look forward to getting my teeth cleaned because the hygenist is very through and leave my teeth pearly white!! Overall, I would suggest anyone looking for a dentist to check out Romo Dental read more

My visit here at Romo Dental was the best, I came to get my braces with Dr. Wiseman and he made sure my teeth came out perfect and for me to have a great smile. They were all really nice and helpful with everything, even after my braces were taken off. I love the way my teeth look now and I'm very happy! Thank you Dr.Wiseman and his crew. I'll definitely be back for my other appointment here. read more

I have been going to Romo Dental for the last 6 months for teeth cleaning and orthodontists. Staff is very knowledgable, clean environment, very flexible for changing appointments on regular cleanings. The only con that I can think of is that sometimes when you get there on time for your appointment, there is a bit of a wait. I've never had to wait more than 30 min. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. read more

I went there for a wisdom tooth emergency and I saw that the metal utensils that they were going to be scrapping my teeth with were rusted. Please check the tools before they put them in your mouth. read more

The front office is terrible. I was scheduled for an appointment for a regular cleaning. I showed up on time and waited for 2 hours I finally asked what the hold up was and a very rude receptionist told me she wasn't able to verify if my insurance covered a cleaning. We have BCBS so I know it covers a cleaning. She then told me that the insurance "didn't answer the phone" so she couldn't let the dentist see me bc I didn't have insurance verification. 99% of insurance companies use an automated service so she was clearly lying about not being able to verify. After I complained about the wait, she got very rude and loud and started talking over me about how I needed to come back another day. She kept speaking louder and louder to try and overpower my voice and shoving some paperwork in my face about when to reschedule. So I left after 3 hours of waiting. It's such a shame because the dentists and the assistants are great at their jobs. The receptionist/front office ruin it. They lost myself and my whole family as clients. Maybe when they stop hiring hoodrat receptionists we can come back. read more

Horrible place unless you wanna pay over and over and over again for the same procedures. They take advantage of seniors. Be aware of what you keep getting appts for and what theyre charging you for. Cause they wanna brake you. Dont expect to be seen at your appt time. Youll just sit and wait and wait. read more

Took my 14 month old in for his first dental visit, Dr.Carla DeLaFuente and her dental assistants were super nice and patient with my son. They took the time to explain things and did a very quick but thorough exam. I was so worried my sons first dental visit would be traumatizing but it was nothing like that. The entire office is super clean and modern. They have parking behind TCF banks parking lot which is a plus. THANK YOU! read more

There is nothing bad to say about Romo Dental. From the moment I walked in the door, everything looked brand new. The staff was courteous and gentle. The service was top notch. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. On top of that, they were able to keep my appointment without a wait time. I was able to make it to work as scheduled and everything worked out great. I'll definitely be going back. read more
