I waited for awhile to make sure everything came out perfect and guess what? It was PERFECTO! I got my car on 12/28 and Mayra was able to get me in like the next day. She told me that I would need my car there for a week and gave me a loaner. A few things I considered Rodz; Customer Service - It was EXCELLENT! Mayra told me she wasn't sure if she would have a loaner for me and told me she would called me back, she called me back within 3 minutes. Quality - I didn't care about the price as I know I'm paying for quality and not cheap films ( the ones I got was LLUMAR films which is the best for the summer heat in SoCal ) . I made sure they were able to do one piece tint for the back as some shop has no experience with it and it can ruin the cameras on your car. Communication - Mayra was excellent in keeping me posted and when I'll have my car back and what they were doing . I did 20% all around and 80% for the windshield, although I think I would have been happier with a 70% windshield. 80% was still somewhat clear. The services I did was - Front PPF, Tints all around ( including windshield) and Ceramic Coating. Look no further if you love your car, let Rodz help you ! The SEARCH Stop looking around and book your appointment with Rodz Tint Shop. I was surfing for quite some time to find a professional and quality shop for my Tesla Model 3. When I came across Rodz Tint Shop, I seriously stopped looking. Mayra provided me the detailed information I needed to make my decision. I had a lot of questions, and Mayra answered them all. Mayra is very experienced, knowledgeable, and personable. Most of all, she gave Zero pressure to make a decision. All communication was done through messenger, during off-hours too. No other tint shop had the patience to do this. So kudos to Mayra for keeping me on the hook! Until The ARRIVAL. The ARRIVAL As soon as I entered their office, I could feel right away that I made the right decision. I was welcomed in by Mayra in the front office, and we went over my decision one more time to make sure I was confident about the brand and tint %. I decided to go with LLumar 30% all around - Air 80 Windshield and Sunroof. Good to go! Next.... The SHOP. The SHOP Rod and crew are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and they keep the shop clean and professional. It was nice to see that they expanded their shop to accommodate more cars. I was able to observe them working on three cars. Rod showed me a brand new Tesla Model 3 he was working on straight from Tesla, which he was applying a 15% tint job, another Tesla Model 3 that was receiving a new PPF front that was backed into by another car. Rod proudly showed me how the original paint was saved on the front end because of the initial PPF he applied to the car, impressive! There was a third car that they were applying a 15% tint to, but I don't recall the make and model, but it was looking good too. So I left them to it until I got the call for The PICKUP... The PICKUP I was provided with a loaner car while they worked on my car. (You need to reserve this loaner car ahead of time.) I received a message from Mayra that my car was completed, a lot earlier than projected. When I arrived, my car was parked in front of the office, and it looked GREAT. Everyone, including Rod, came out and looked over the car with me, and I drove away very happy with my decision. Honestly, I left feeling as if I just bought a brand new car, and that's what it looked like a brand new car. It has been about a week since they worked on my car and I could not be happier. The car looks clean and sharp. I have had many compliments from friends and co-workers. This is long overdue. I recently bought a 2021 Tesla Model 3. This was my first big boy purchase and my first luxury vehicle. Naturally, I scour the web to protect and upgrade my car appearance. Reddit and the reviews attracted me to here. First, the communication. The communication is impeccable. I reached out on Yelp to get a quote. They responded very quickly and were very helpful to my novice questions, again this is my first time with any kind of tinting or car modifications. I started off with a simple operation to black out my logos. Easy enough, I arrive and the receptionist walks me through the process and out I go. 2.5 hours later, I'm back and my car looks great. I'm very happy with my car and was like, you know what, let's tint the windows. I communicate with them via Yelp once again (after-hours as well) and they walk me through and are extremely helpful. I show up 3 days after my first stop and they loan me a car to get back to my apartment so I can work. While I'm there, the receptionist, once again walks me through the process. She talks me through the tint percentages and what exactly I'm paying for. The quote matches what we discussed on Yelp and off I go! Fast forward to the end of the day and I'm back. They washed my car for me and it's parked out front. We go outside and she walks me through the instructions needed for the first few days and educates me on the condensation (again, I have no idea what any of this is). So in 3 days, I got my logos blacked out and my tints done. I look forward to wrapping my car when they provide that service again in March (I'm looking for a matte wrap, they do clear, protective coating still). I wish I had gotten her name, but the receptionist is a star! She is super helpful and personable. There was also another woman (shame on me, I didn't get her name either), and she was also very kind and informative. She was the one who gave me the keys to the loaner (if either of you are reading this, thank you so much!) I'm sure I missed a small detail here and there, but the consensus? Go here. It's worth it, their communication is impeccable and the work/service speaks for itself. I look forward to continued work on all my cars, and will happily refer friends and family here. The details of my car: ended up IRX nano tints, 30 percent all around (was personally nervous about going darker for my first time with tints, although I wish I had gotten the 15 percent now). 30 percent, in my opinion, is a great not too dark, not too light tint. Great starting tint. I also got that Air 80 windshield, and of course, blacked logos. Update/addition to the above: I knew I forgot something. After I came home after the tints, I noticed bubbles in my A pillars. Contacted them on Yelp and once again, even post service, they helped me out and let me know to contact Tesla. They were 100 percent correct, I had Tesla come out and they did within a day and my A pillars are replaced and good as new! Rodz is the best. read more

For top-shelf film grade, they were cheaper by 25-35% compared to the handful of Tesla-experienced tint shops I cross-referenced. That being said, price was only one factor in identifying the right shop for me.  So I read that the Model 3 is tricky to tint. The large rear pane and abundance of electronics complicate things.  Had I known what I was getting into, I would not have wasted so much time pillaging the Internet as if I were preparing for an interview. Arriving at the shop, I was taken aback by how comfortable the shop manager, Sarai, made the process feel. She listened intently, clarified the misinformation I received and helped me navigate everything smoothly.  I could have saved many, many hours. For those without a complete picture, I encourage you to just pay Sarai a visit. Armed with the right knowledge, I made a few decisions but was not sure what shades I wanted. Although there were clear examples of the various types and shades of film in Sarai's office, she and Daniel took it a step further by allowing me to see them on my vehicle itself. Quite literally, this is the clearest confidence boost you could give any customer. In doing so, I chose the following shades:  Windshield: 3M Crystalline 90% Front windows: Llumar IRX 50% Reard windows/quarters: Llumar IRX 35% Rear windshield/roof: Llumar IRX 40% I wanted the best combination of 360 degree heat resistance, safety day and night, and enough of a contrast between front and back to fend off the pigs. Prior to purchase and after installation, these were the exact products and shading that I wanted. One last thing. Rodz Tint Shop has done work on hundreds and hundreds of Teslas. They are also a 2-man shop: Daniel (who is amazing to deal with) and Rod himself! This means they have both worked together on HUNDREDS of Teslas. With each install, I imagine they master their craft even more. This may not be the case with larger shops who have part-time or transient workers.  After two weeks, I could say with confidence, the attention to service, quality of product and level of craftsmanship was clear from minute one. I must say this company mastered World class customer service! I have a Tesla Model 3, the biggest challenge is doing the tint the right way especially the back window. Many have resulted in cracks or issues with their tint because it was not done incorrectly. DONT GO TO THE WRONG PLACE! Rodz in Fountain Valley, California is a specialist in Tesla's he has to date done well over 7000+ Tesla's with 100+% success! He walked me through the entire process. He actually has Tesla front and rear windshields that he uses to accurately measure and cut them to exact size then applies heat and prepares it for total perfect fit and NO BROCKEN or cracked glass! This is his craft and he has mastered it! At Rodz they do also specialize in; paint protection, window tinting, ceramic coating (which he explained how it works and what is does to help preserve the paint and keep it better than show room condition), chrome delete, wheel powder coating, paint correction all done on site at his facility in Fountain Valley and by Rod himself. IF you want it done right, by the best then I highly recommend Rod to work on your car. What you'll get is a wonderful staff that makes you feel at home, Rod who explained everything every step of the way and phenomenal outcome! Bit of a late updated review, but Stellar job as usual. Every since I found Rodz 2 years ago, I haven't gone anywhere else to get my cars tinted. If friends and family need their cars tinted, Rodz is always the one I'd recommend. Got an Audi Q3 and was itching to get it tinted as soon as I got it out of the dealership. I was able to get a schedule with them immediately. Came in during COVID high alert in April but they were still able to accommodate me. Shoutout to Myra for being really accommodating, specially when I had to book an appointment for the Macan where we had to reschedule a couple of times. Got my Model 3 (White/White) tinted last week for all windows. Rodz Tint Shop did a fantastic job at the best price I could find for quality ceramic tinting. I got Llumar's brand-new IRX Nano-Ceramic tints on the front-side (30%), rear-side (15%), and full-rear (15%) windows. I also got Llumar Air 80% on the front windshield and front moonroof. Visibility from the inside to the outside is great, and I have no issues at night as well. 15% tint on the full-rear glass makes the pano roof somewhat unusable, but it is a necessary evil since I have the white interior and value privacy. I would recommend 30% rear if you have the black interior, although I think visibility for the pano roof will be not good no matter what due to Tesla's ridiculously dark factory tinting. The shop has their own Model 3 back glass so they don't cut on your windows, and is also well-versed with tinting Model 3 front windshields (which can fry the computer if done improperly). They offer a great balance of affordability, quality tints, and experience, which is why I went with them as opposed to other shops in the area that were either charging more for the same workmanship or were less experienced with Model 3 tinting. read more

I took my sweet time in getting any kind of tint - its one of those things, where you really need to find out what you are getting into, and especially when it comes to modern cars with all glass roofs (read:Tesla) it becomes even more difficult since there are so many surfaces and varying levels of heat/light rejection that you suit you. Then there is the tint quality - materials that quickly turn out to be a nightmare if not applied correctly or are of shoddy quality. Here steps in Rodz - I got their recommendation from forums in Reddit, and still asked around for quotes. Theirs wasn't the cheapest, however, quality and cheap doesn't usually go together! That said, their's come in bang in reasonably priced category - so I decided to give them a visit. I went in and meet Myra, the co-owner (I believe) - and I must say, she's the absolute BEST salesperson and point of contact that I've met in any business that I have dealt with! If she goes working for Fortune 500 she'll do an absolute phenomenal job! Moving on from the first interaction, proof of pudding is usually in the eating - this all would come to naught if the job isn't done well, and here's where Rob and his team comes in - again, absolute phenomenal attention to detail and a super awesome implementation!
