Why is this company still around? Every time my packages are shipped through them they always end up "lost". Amazon needs to ditch dynamex.

My Amazon Prime order out for delivery 9:52am Saturday in my local postal area. Due by 9pm. I am tracking. 8pm We will deliver today. 9pm Sorry we will deliver within 3 days or you can ask for cancellation. Today, Amazon chat says will deliver for sure within 3 days. I ask for a guarantee. No sorry but they did get me Keyforce phone number. Nice person there says cannot reach their people where I live. As a joke I asked if my stuff was on sale with a DC sidewalk vendor they promised to call me back so. not funny.. Last time Amazon stiffed me with a side vendor it took 9 days to deliver. read more

If I could take this star and break it down into its smallest piece, it would still be too much credit for this terrible awful carrier. They are the worst when it comes to tracking and customer service. I ordered a piece of photography equipment that I needed for my grandmothers birthday because she, unfortunately, is fighting cancer and we wanted to make sure we captured all of the moments we had with her. I ordered from Amazon and was guaranteed that I would get the order the next day. It has been a week and still, no item. The birthday came and went and I am still waiting for a package. Every time I call, it's a new excuse as to why it hasn't arrived, but I am told it will get there the next day "for sure", but still nothing. The last one was a keeper, I was told that the driver took the package with them because it was "unsafe" to deliver the package. I live in the suburbs, work from home (never heard a ring or a knock), and my neighborhood is super quiet. USELESS. Amazon used this shipping company for the first time on an order of mine this week. I was home all day and witnessed no attempt to deliver a package at my residence. Received an updated tracking e-mail stating the package was not delivered because they "could not access the front door to the residence." I have 2 front doors with no obstructions or access issues and the driveway was empty. The fact is they obviously never attempted to deliver and who knows where my package has gone. Amazon is sending a replacement item and you can tell them to mark your account to never use this shipping company again. It's worth the call to Amazon to be sure of it. Looking at all the negative 1-star reviews here, I've no idea why Amazon continues to do business with them. I also think it's laughable that a "business owner" replies to some of these reviews acting is if they care and anything is going to change, when clearly it hasn't over the course of several months. This is absolutely the worst delivery company!! The driver left two cases of paper in the middle of the entranceway, of a large office building. When I called to ask if the driver can come back and deliver it to my office, they made every excuse in the book why he couldn't. Do not order anything from Office Depot, because this is the company they use!!!! Todd, the gentleman I spoke to at the delivery company would not tell me the name of the owner, or phone number, so I could talk to him. I would give this company 0 stars if I could! As with others who have written reviews, Amazon used this company for same- or next-day delivery. The driver, unlike any other driver for any other company that has delivered packages to my house over the past 13 years, this driver decided that it was too much trouble to come up the driveway to deliver the package. So, it was left at the end of the driveway, IN THE RAIN!! The box was sopping wet when we picked it up. I would rather not have Amazon's "premium" service if this is the company they use. I've been waiting on a package shipped through Dynamex since the 14th of this month. it finally updated today to "out for delivery" at 5:10 AM... as of 11:37 PM on 5/28/2020 the package still has not made it to me. Amazon REALLY needs to drop this shipping company, they are complete trash and don't even attempt to communicate why there is a delay. even during the COVID lockdown, anything shipped through any other company has made it to me in a timely manner, the longest I've waited for any other company to deliver package so far has been 5 days, and that was because I ordered it on a Friday night and it didn't ship until Monday. Dynamex as a whole does not seem to be a company worth even looking at. read more

These guys regularly deliver my Amazon same day packages and almost every time like clockwork, they don't deliver the package. Claiming there is not a secure location to leave the package. However, no one ever comes to the door, rings the bell, nothing. I live off the main street and the door to my small 4 unit building is not locked. There has never been a problem with any other carrier leaving packages except with these people. If they are even bothering to drive by, they must be too lazy to get out if their truck. One time they actually left my package laying in the middle of my condo courtyard next to a bush 20 feet from my unlocked door to the mailbox area. I only noticed it s day later. read more

I specifically ordered an Amazon Prime product and paid for next day shipping. I received a text and email notification that my package was delivered. It was a product for my son to use at football practice, after I received the text notification at work, I told him to grab the package off of the front porch. But no package was there, I immediately called Amazon and after only a few minutes, the customer service agent refunded my money and told me that Dynamex will scan the packages as delivered but just be in the area and it could take up to 1 day for the delivery to actually reach my address. This is a deceitful business practice and I paid extra for the 1 day shipping only to not receive it. read more

My wonderful story is, like so many here, about trying to find a package that was never delivered. As I sat one night, waiting for my Amazon package to be delivered, my phone gave a little buzz. My package had arrived! This was odd, of course, as not only was it 10 at night (3 hours past the promised delivery time), but I didn't see any headlights outside that could be from a delivery vehicle. Perhaps they were quite stealthy about the whole business. I went out to look for it, but couldn't find it. Being the naive sort, I chalked it up to not being able to find the package in the dark. Oh, if it had only ended there. Come morning, I go to look for my package. Still nothing. Odd, but maybe it just got mis-scanned, and it would be on the morning route. Around 11, I was informed that it still hadn't shown up. So I elect to call and inquire as to my package's status. I end up calling six times between 11:30am and 6pm. Every time, I am told that e-mails have been sent, but that no response have been received. It seems odd to me that a company would simply lose contact with a local office for over six hours and not be concerned about it. Eventually, I am told to simply call Amazon to ask for a replacement. No apologies, and no concern about how their logistics system so thoroughly broke down. Dynamex is easily the most incompetent and lazy delivery service I have ever encountered. For the third time in as many weeks, I have not received a package shipped with Dynamex. In a fun twist, this time they gave me someone else's package (completely different address, including street name and zip code). Then, they told the sender that my package cannot be delivered because my door is not accessible from the street... So they gave me someone else's package? Two of my 13 Amazon orders within the past month have had Dynamex as the carrier and they are the only two shipments I have had issues with. Like the comments before mine, you get a delivery notification only to go searching the neighborhood to no avail because it actually hasn't been delivered yet. Not sure how that happens...? Beyond that confusion, I don't know why it is only the packages that they deliver that end up in front of my garage door instead of on my front door stoop like all the others? Both packages have just been set in the alley of our townhouse complex with zero protection from being ran over or stolen. The last package they delivered on 5/29/16 was found by a neighbor while it was literally floating down the alley (nearly made it to the main road) during a big rain storm. I'm happy that they fill a delivery gap for Amazon but I think we all could agree that first and foremost the package needs to make it to as secure of a location as possible to really be considered 'delivered'. Second to that, please make the 'delivery' notifications accurate so when we go searching we at least know that a box with our name on it actually does exist somewhere within a square mile. I don't understand all the bad reviews about this place, it's basically a loophole to get free Amazon Prime. Not in a hurry to get your package? Free same-day shipping offered? Take it as fast as you can. Rest assured, if Dynamex is the carrier, it most likely won't be delivered on time, and you can get your free month of Prime from Amazon (that's over an $8 value!). Plus, think about how happy that lucky neighbor will be when they get your original package delivered to them for free! Anyone giving this company 1-star just isn't thinking it through. read more

IMPORTANT! - Dynamex is Great! Dynamex has gotten many bad reviews which make it look unreliable. Here are my 2 cents on the matter. I just ordered next day delivery on a particularly pricy and small pc component to upgrade my laptop's storage capacity and saw that it was coming through dynamex who I had never heard of before. I looked them up to see if I could learn more about them and saw all of these horror stories and bad reviews about how awful dynamex is. I understand that it completely sucks when something isn't delivered properly or the way that it's supposed to. I don't blame those people for writing a bad review. However, I have never reviewed UPS before, or USPS or FedEx or any other delivery service, and I doubt many people do when they order something off of Amazon or Google or any other online market place. The first and foremost review a lot of people will do is on the item, the next and less popular review is the review of the store, lastly and very rarely, is the review of the delivery service. Only those who had bad experiences will review this place in hopes they can prevent others from experiencing the same thing. The fact remains, they are a decent, less-well-known-than-UPS-or-USPS, delivery service. Hell, you can find just as bad reviews if not worse on any delivery service. Dynamex is just not used as often and is therefore not reviewed as often. All in all, I had a perfect experience with them, package was delivered on time, contents were undamaged. read more

In short: What everyone else said. Two previous times I have gotten shipments from them on time. However, for some reason they seem unable to go to the actual address, and simply drop it at your apartment's office, and never update the shipping to state that. If any Pizza delivery guy can get to the right place in an apartment complex on a tight schedule, I think it is fair to say the local branch of a courier service should to? They are allowed to call to find right where you are, but apparently have no incentive to. Nor call you for two seconds to say "hey its at the front office" so you aren't wondering. Earlier today, this Tuesday I placed a Same Day order, and it was marked as arriving by 9PM. It did not, and now after chatting with Amazon twice and Dynamex twice the delivery window is anywhere from to 1 to 3 days late. In calling Dynamex corporate two times they were mildly rude and: -Declared it was Amazon's fault first -Said that it "was probably lost by now" -Said it would get there the next day before 9PM, but then after me asking admitted he had no idea where it was or if it had been lost. -Finally calling to see what another representative thought sounded good I got "It could get there this evening [was nearly midnight here], or tomorrow morning, maybe the day after that" None of them seemed like this was anything but a regular daily occurrence and came off like they didn't understand why I cared when the product came. No "oh sorry this happened", "Id be glad to help", etc. Which doesn't offend me, but does point to the ineptitude of Dynamex in not training their support to at least be courteous and mature. In chatting with an Amazon guy (very helpful) who said over and over that it will never happen again I sent them a link to this Yelp page to show this wasn't just me around here and the guy said he'd pass it up. Amazon has such cheap and quick shipping because they know it is crucial to their brand loyalty.. really bafflingly poor choice for a company that revolutionized e-commerce. read more

Lazy and inept is no way to go through life, especially when delivering Amazon Prime deliveries! My wall mount was not brought to my door in a high-rise apartment, but left outside the glass sliding doors. I was home all day and the inept delivery person was too lazy to buzz me on the intercom so I could let him or her into the building and they could take the elevator up to my floor and my door. My neighbor caught someone lifting the package and, recognizing they didn't belong here, chased them and retrieved the package (which has addressed to me)! Talk about lazy and inept! I immediately called Amazon Prime and told them to NEVER send me another package through Dynamex. They are atrocious and low rent! read more

Tim M. is right. This is a great way to get free stuff or free Prime. They have no idea how to deliver to a college campus. When I get packages, it goes to our package center and they email me. Dynamex first missed the delivery date and then I get a call from the driver asking what to do with my package. Cool. Amazon ended up sending me replacement items for free. Was waiting for a package all day - got an email saying my package was delivered... I didn't hear the doorbell? No knock? I go outside and check - nothing. This "company" is just as bad as OnTrac. I'd give zero stars if I could. Since the tracking info has said "will be delivered tomorrow" for five days now, I don't believe a word they say. So I've called four different times. The first person said it was because they couldn't find a driver (for four days in a row you had no driver...?) and that it would be delivered the next day. The second said that he found it in their system and replied with a "guarantee, 100% it will be delivered today" (which obviously didn't happen). Third guy said he would try and find it and would email me when he did (which again obviously never happened). I just called again and the woman replied that it will be delivered today "but the package has not been loaded on the truck". It is 11:15am currently. We went back and forth about what "it'll be delivered today but the package wasn't loaded on the truck" means. Does that mean it is going to be loaded? There is only one truck and it already left so it won't be delivered today? Is the truck still in the process of loading? Are there multiple trucks? CAN I EVER EXPECT TO RECEIVE THIS? You can guess the reply I got every time. "It will be delivered today but the package has not been loaded on the truck". Update: I called back a few hours later and now they don't know anything. Nothing about the truck, nothing about the package, just "we will email you". Yeah great, you mean like you didn't last time? I don't know how this business remains in business. I called Amazon CS and demanded that they never ship my orders with this company again and that I'll be canceling any orders that get shipped with Dynamex in the future. read more

Placed an order from Office Depot that was to arrive on 7/29/21. Nothing was delivered, however, we received an email that the order could not be dropped at 4:29 pm because no one was home to receive it, and it would be re delivered on 7/29/21 (same date) Either the delivery person lied or can't use GPS. I was in the house watching the news and my Wife was getting ready for a meeting. At 9:20 am on 7/30/21 I contacted Office Depot customer service and explained the issue after a short time they said they located the order and it would be delivered that day 7/30/21. My wife needed additional items and went to the local Office Depot she told them what had happened and they said if you don't receive the order by 4:00 pm call 1-800-944-3340 Office Depot corporate, she did they listened then contacted Dynamex who abruptly hung up on them. Corporate called back and Dynamex said they tried to call their delivery person but they wouldn't answer the phone. Then they guaranteed delivery by 8:00 pm 7/30/21 at 7:00 pm we received another email stating the delivery person ran out of time and they left work at 5:00 pm. and the order would be delivered on 7/29/21(must have a time machine) It's now Saturday 7/31/21 and we still don't have the order and we are not setting around the house waiting to see if some delivery person wants to do their job or not. I thought FedEx and the USPS was bad but they pale to the incompetence of Dynamex. If you make online orders ask who the shipper is I will now add Dynamex to my don't use list. read more

I get multiple one day shipping orders from Amazon who has recently started using your company instead of Lonestar Overnight. I wish they'd return to using LSO... Since the switch, I've had multiple instances of the package being delivered to the office in my complex without the driver EVER attempting delivery at my door. Normally nothing more than a little inconvenience. However, today the same thing happened. The issue now is that this was a Christmas present that is needed for tomorrow and we'll be unable to get the package from the front office. This company appears to be a total scam. I just got notice that my package from Amazon was not delivered because they "unable to gain entry." That is total BS, as I have been sitting home the entire time and no-one rang my bell. Of course the door is locked, geniuses....that's why buildings have buzzers. There does not appear to be a way to contact them directly and Amazon is of no help. I wish I could give this company negative stars! Amazon needs to stop partnering with them ASAP! I pre-ordered an item on June 3rd and was told it was shipped and would be delivered September 15th by Dynamex. Never heard of them, but I thought it wasn't a bag deal! Boy was I wrong! On September 15th I was sitting on my couch, overlooking my front door, when I received a Facebook message that my Dynamex order could not be delivered because my front door was blocked! I was literally looking at my front door and there was nothing going on! Plus, about two minutes later FedEx swung by to drop something off and had no problems! I also have a ring so it's kind of hard to pretend you were here when you were not! I called yesterday on September 16th, and spoke to someone that was going to contact us dispatcher and get back to me. After 5 hours and no phone call, I called back and spoke to another person that was extremely unhelpful. This morning I tracked my package and it said out for delivery, but than again around 2:00 it said delivery delayed. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor immediately and they fought with me for 17 minutes to get one on the phone. When that guy finally did get on the phone he was worthless as well. Basically read off a script. Promised he would take care of it and I would get a call back soon. That was 4 hours ago so not holding my breath. I'm calling amazon in the morning and telling them about my horrible experience and asking them to deprioritize them as a shipping partner immediately. Hopefully if enough of us do it, they will stop using them and the business will go under! These people have horrible customer service and are liars! They deserve to go under! The worst part is now my item that I preordered back in June is already ok back order for 3 weeks! So I have to suffer because this company is a bunch of idiots! read more

Absolutely useless company. Amazon utilize this company for one of my packages and they claimed they had no access to deliver it, which is false since the apartment complex's office is open 24/7 and staffed the entire time. When I called to ask about my package, they said that it was never out for same day delivery (which I paid for), and that the unable to access the delivery location was a "code the company uses to say that it was unable to be delivered that day". When I asked why then did the tracking history say out for delivery two hours prior to them being 'unable to access the delivery location', they said that it was never out for delivery either. I wish I could give 0 stars, this delivery service is crap, they said they delivered my package but they didn't, I've been here all day and no package, I've looked all around the outside of my house and nothing. And since they said they delivered it when they didn't and won't respond to my inquiries about it there's not much I can really do because Amazon thinks it's been delivered and there is really not any option to tell them that no it hasn't been.
