Dynamex is subcontracted by Amazon for local "last mile" deliveries out of Jessup Maryland. They are sooooooo bad. Latest package was supposed to be delivered 5/21 = "carrier delay" after 6 pm. Apparently they do not work weekends, so no delivery attempts 5/22 or 5/23. Out for delivery on 5/24 = "carrier delay" after 6 pm. Out for delivery on 5/25 = "breakdown" after 6 pm. Apparently they do not wish to work after 6 pm. Dynamex Jessup Maryland seems to be a one horse outfit, and simply cannot handle their business. Amazon needs to drop them like a hot potato! I have a package that was suppose to be delivered Dec. 12. I've contacted them 3 times about it and have never received a response. When I check for delivery it will say delivery is expected today, then there had been a delivery exception and it will be delivered the next day. So far nothing. I am a frequent Amazon Prime customer and have never had a delivery problem until this past month when 4 separate orders were routed shipped by Amazon's fulfillment center through Dynamex. All 4 deliveries were posted as "delivered" but I did not receive a single one. I have a motion detector activated video camera at my front door and there was no footage in any of the 4 delivery dates of a delivery attempt. Furthermore, I received a call from someone who actually received one of my packages and was kind enough to track me down and this person lived two full subway stops away from my NYC address. This is a terrible delivery service and greatly blemishes Amazon's delivery reputation. Amazon needs to stop using them immediately. They are incompetent at best and, perhaps, downright thieves. read more

I was supposed to receive several packages from Amazon yesterday. To my utter shock, the Amazon app states the my package might be "lost" and it is now offering me a refund. Somehow UPS and FedEx don't find it so much complicated to deliver my package to my door (during weekends as well). I have had multiple miserable experiences with this company on two separate occasions and packages were never delivered. You never ever get a response when you submit an inquiry. This time I ordered from Amazon and delivery was supposed to be today. Mind you the package was only coming from one town over. Amazon assured me I would receive my items today under my Prime membership. It is impossible to get any details from Dynamex. I check again and now they are saying expected delivery is two days from now by 9 pm. I have asked Amazon to never use them again when delivering my packages. Insanely incompetent. The first attempt they delivered to the wrong address. The second attempt, they could not get into my building. My house is my building, unless you are trying to break-in there is no reason to get in, just leave the package at the door. Customer service was poor as well. Worst service ever!!! The last time this lousy outfit delivered a package to my home, they left it balanced on top of my mailbox at the street. I guess driving or walking up the driveway to leave the package on the porch was too much trouble. The delivery was made well after dark and I had no idea the package was on the mailbox until I took the dog on a short walk. As the package contained somewhat fragile and expensive electronics, it was very fortunate that the box didn't fall from its precarious perch. I ordered an item from Amazon and was unfortunately assigned Dynamex as the delivery co. I was given a delivery date of 8/15/20 I received a notice telling me that the delivery would be late "usually 1 day" Ok, not happy but I'll deal with it. 16th comes and goes, no package. I call customer service and am told they do not have the tracking number I gave them. I explained that it was the tracking number given by THEIR company. I call again 8/17 and speak to a different rep. This time I am told the package is to be delivered that day. That day comes and goes. I call them again that night and am told that there was a problem with the driver and he was not able to complete his route. They tell me they have given the route to another driver and package will be delivered the next day. That day came and went and here I am STILL WITH NO PACKAGE!! I called them again one last time and was told that they have put me as a "priority" (what ever the hell that means to them! )So foolishly I ask when I can expect to receive my package? The agent tells me that he cannot give me an exact day but "rest assured, we are going to give this priority treatment." B.S.!! I told them to do whatever they want at this point, that I am cancelling my order with Amazon and in my future dealings with Amazon, if they cannot guarantee that they will not use Dynamex on any future order, I will NOT use Amazon for that purchase. Ordered an expensive Christmas gift off Amazon, 2 day prime shipping, great. Listed as delivered on Saturday. It is now almost Wednesday, no package. Did some digging and found out it was "fulfilled" by this company. Looks like everyone else has the same issue. I had no choice in the matter and amazon decided to ship my package with dynamex. I called them on their number multiple times and my order never arrived. The excuse was "Covid 19 was affecting deliveries". The customer service representative also told me they had a shortage of drivers. Boy did they give me the runaround. If you know you can't deliver packages then don't accept delivery jobs. After seeing all of the terrible reviews, I was very skeptical and worried that my electronics wouldn't make it to me, or suddenly disappear. However, none of these things happened! I am an Amazon prime user and took advantage of one day shipping, not worried about the carrier as I had never used Dynamex before. Amazon was telling me it would be delivered by 9pm today, and Dynamex's tracking service told me it wouldn't be delivered until tomorrow. Boyfriend waited 20 minutes on hold with them to get some clarity, and while he was on hold the package came, 10 hours before schedule. Their website and service could be improved, but since my package came way before schedule, I can't complain too much. Very grateful it wasn't lost as I was expecting. Speed of delivery 5/5 Customer Service 3/5 Overall 4/5 I guess it just depends on each scenario, but I hope the overall quality of this notorious company improves. read more

Dynamex is the worst delivery service in the world! Dynamex was tasked with delivering a package that I ordered from Amazon and got absolutely everything wrong. First I was sent a Dynamex tracking number, but it showed no record of the number when I went to their website. Then Amazon's tracking said that it had been delivered, but Dynamex did not show any photo of the delivery point, and it certainly was not delivered to my house. Finally, a neighbor from a different street and a different address number showed up the next day with my package. If this is Dynamex's usual service quality, I will never use them and hope that Amazon discontinues whatever delivery contract they currently have with Dynamex. Highly unreliable and specialize in "losing" packages. I held back from writing a review because I didn't want to write a negative review based on a one-time experience. The first time, Amazon sent my package with Dynamex, and it simply got lost. Unfortunately, Amazon sent another package with Dynamex, and it looks like I'll never see that order. I wasn't aware that courier companies can choose whether they feel like delivering a package or not, or if they even want to deliver. Because apparently, Dymanex does exactly that. If it suits them maybe they will deliver the package, but if they're not in the mood, they won't. This is the second time they have decided not to deliver or just lose my package entirely. Calling customer service is easy, but it seems like they are trained to just say it is on the truck and will come by the end of the day, or if it's too late in the day, tomorrow. It never does come of course, but if you call again they will just repeat the same thing to you. Dynamex has proven to be extremely unreliable, and judging by the reviews, they "lose" packages more than deliver packages. I left a note with Amazon to never ship my orders with Dynamex again, hopefully, I don't have to deal with this supposed courier losing or ignoring my orders anymore. read more

I recently purchased an expensive lens from Amazon. Dynamex, the courier, dropped the package in front of my house without informing me. I was home so I would have heard the doorbell ring. I wouldn't have known my lens had arrived had I not used the "Track Package" option in my Amazon account. It could have stayed outside for a very long time and been damaged in the process. I recieved notification they dropped it off at my front door; however, it never arrived. Three days later, still no package. I called THREE time, and each time, they stated that they'll call back--they didn't. I also sent them an email, but given their messiness, I don't expect to hear from them.
