I have the best experience every time and honestly might have to start getting my hair cut 3x a year just because I love her. Getting your hair cut can be a nightmare. I guess I'm the exception to the rule. I called and set up an appointment for the following afternoon. I showed up a few before my appointment time and there was no one at the front. I took a seat and after a few minutes someone came to the front and checked to say it'll be just a moment: the stylist the suggested for me was just finishing up. No problem. 30 minutes later, with still no one at the front desk, other stylists all toward the back, and no one seeming to care, I walked out. What is the purpose of an appointment if you won't even come close to honoring it? I wish I had all afternoon to kill, but I don't. The studio had my phone number and email and easily could have called to apologize, attempt to reschedule, or even give a discount. Nothing. I'd suggest taking your business elsewhere because, apparently, they don't need it! read more

This review is specifically for the hairdresser Lilit. I called and made an appointment for a simple haircut. When I sat down I told her right away I would just like a haircut and don't want to do any color. But somehow she talked me into just doing my "root touch up and a toning". I'm blonde and I did need a root touch up so I said yes, however she kept suggesting she do darker roots on me which I kept telling her I did not want. (I'll come back to that) Once she put the dye in my hair after we had some pleasant small talk, she decided she would ask me some political questions. I told her I wasn't really comfortable talking about politics, this was the day after election so I'd rather not be stuck in a salon where I'm supposed to be relaxed talking about politics. She wouldn't let up and then started to show me videos on YouTube, that I would consider conspiracy theories, but that doesn't really matter the point was I asked her repeatedly not to talk about politics with me and she continued to and was aggressive about her views. When she saw that I was uncomfortable she became very agitated. This was about the time that she started to do a toner on my roots that I told her I didn't want/ it was darker. She kept saying my color was "dirty" and she wanted to make "clean". She turned the brush up right and started to stab my roots over and over and I made a joke that she was being pretty intense. It actually hurt and I had to wonder if she was taking her frustration out on my hair and my scalp. At one point I definitely thought I might just jump up and leave and go home and wash the dye out myself. I was so uncomfortable Finally, we just stopped talking to each other for the last hour. When we rinsed it out I could tell that my roots were much darker than I wanted she kept saying "you'll like it I promise". She could tell I didn't like it but said "I should just come back in to get highlights", which would essentially make my hair look like it did before. Then she went on to berate me saying I had more hair on the left side of my head than the right, but then telling me I had "beautiful hair" when someone walked by from the salon so she looked like she was being nice. The whole process took about 3.5 hours. All in complete discomfort in a place that should be where you go to relax. I tipped her well thinking I would take the high road but as soon as I got in my car I knew I had just had the single worst experience in a salon in my entire life. I have to say the other ladies at the salon were absolutely lovely so this review isn't for them or The Salon itself so much as this one menace hairstylist. Lilit. read more

I would just like to start off by saying that the owner is incredibly kind, accommodating, and owns up to the stylists' mistakes. But unfortunately, this review is not about her. As a woman, if you are thinking about getting your hair cut by Roberto, please be incredibly careful. I was originally booked with Alyssa, but was informed that she could not make it, and Roberto was her replacement. I asked for long layers with curtain bangs and showed him a video of how I wanted my hair. He cut my bangs straight, no layering or curtain to them. My layers wound up incredibly choppy, with one section on the right side of my head being a half ponytail's worth of hair that is incredibly shorter and choppy than the rest of my hair. None of the layers were blended at all, they were just straight chops throughout my hair. I had to call my friend from out of state and have her talk me through blending it myself, however, the right side of my hair is unfortunately unsalvageable. I am on the spectrum, so when asked if I liked it, I was too scared to say no (which is more my fault than theirs, I take full responsibility for that). When my boyfriend called to express my dissatisfaction, they offered to fix it, but I would prefer to not have Roberto do anything else to my hair. The only way that it looks okay is if I curl it, which is a little difficult for me to do on a daily basis, as my hair is very thick and I prefer not to use heat on it. As far as professionalism, as I said, the owner was very sweet and definitely cared about helping clear up the issue. I would say that if you're thinking of going here for a woman's haircut, make sure to book with someone else. read more

I went in today to have my bangs cut. I heavily researched the hairdresser I wanted. I was called back 5 mins after my appointment start time by the hairdresser I thought I booked with. She immediately hacked off my bangs before even confirming the length I wanted. I ended up telling her to stop cutting because she just kept gathering more and it wasn't even and already much shorter than the photos I showed her. It wasn't until the end I realized the hairdresser never showed up so they swapped her out with another person and never even gave me the option if I wanted someone else to cut my hair.
