Recently concluded my stay at CT and am happy to have departed with only glowing memories of a…read morewell-maintained, steadily modernizing, and efficiently-run apartment building.
Let us begin with the financial aspects. While steeply priced for young professionals, lease prices are comparable to surrounding buildings with the added value of covering more and higher quality amenities and the support of an attentive and professional staff. Amenities include two pools (one indoor and open year-round featuring long hours), a golf simulator, a brand-new gym including a wide variety of pristine cardio and weightlifting equipment, a business center comprised of several large-screen Mac desktops connected to a printer, an in-building store offering food, condiments, dry cleaning, and alteration services, and even racquetball and basketball courts. Simply stated, this building is an athlete's dream. An extra $50 monthly payment (well below average Arlington price) secures residents reserved parking spaces in a pleasantly cool garage with multiple exits (the sloped surface atop which the building sits means that if you are assigned a spot on the lowest level, then you can still exit to the street without the need to drive up multiple levels).
The building constantly achieves exquisite internal and external presentation. The management clearly dedicates significant resources to cleaning efforts - walk through the common spaces and you will pass by staff scrubbing windows, shining surfaces, vacuuming floors, watering plants, and performing other upkeep. Even the trash chutes smell like lemon. Room maintenance was always available at the touch of a button through the Resident Portal app, enabling users to indicate urgency levels when requesting that facilities staff address different issues. Not once did the CT maintenance staff keep me waiting an inordinate time length for any minor or major service or repair.
The apartments attract a wide age range, so you run into an array of people, including adorable kids scurrying through the lobby, yet the rooms themselves are quiet. It sounded as if I never had a neighbor on either side. Best of all, there are no pets, so you never have to deal with urine in the elevators or on the floors, barking at all hours of the day, hair on all the common space furniture, and the cringeworthy sight of society's less socially adept members speaking to animals as if they are people.
The front desk and leasing office staff were also expeditious in assisting with all manner of requests from procuring packages, providing carts, processing payments passes and payments ($10/24 hours for guests who receive their own reserved spot and garage prox card), and answering questions about lease terms. No instances of impersonal dispositions or unnecessary attitudes ever occurred in my interactions, and that fact is impressive as I can promise you that the front desk and leasing staff have to deal with some highly entitled brats of all ages.
With its easy metro access (four minutes at a leisurely walking pace), competitive pricing, quiet and clean environment, and ongoing modernizations, CT is on track to lead the Courthouse neighborhood more than it already does. Thank you to Mario, Sabrina, and all the staff for running an excellent operation!
