With that said: This is the first time that we have someone HARASSING US (desperate enough?), by phone calls ( 5 times in one day, and not leave us messages), even sending me a TEXT, after I text him back: "no thanks, we've picked someone else." I thought, that would stop all the phone calls, then, for the last time, he called me again (1 week later), and not leave a message. I called Shane (the guy on my phone who have been calling me, but his name is not Shane) and asked him: "What can I do for you?" "WHO are you really calling?" A person, or company calling excessively for more than 3 calls, is DESPERATE! A person calling & hanging up, not leaving a message is at anytime a RUDE person! That's what Telemarketers do, all the time, and this company is acting like a telemarketer & being rude, and is harassing in my book! I do not deal with a company who doesn't behave in a professional manner. (What if they're applying for a job, sent in a resume, and keeps calling the company again & again, if he got the job? He said his kids had removed it over the weekend. I offered my 36‑foot ladder so he could take a look. He leaned it against my gutter, which began to bend as he climbed, so I stopped him to prevent further damage. He said he would return the next day with a technician and proper equipment to fix the gutter and inspect the skylight. He never showed up. When I called the office, I was told he would call me back, which never happened. Overall, this was an unprofessional experience, and I would not recommend this company.

Within months of them having done this the roof started leaking around the chimney and, it was noted by a contractor doing a different project on my house, that the roofers had lifted the electric roof fan, disrupting the power but did not cap the live wires. When I called Stalcup about these concerns they sent 2 guys out to tar around the chimney and completely remove the fan (a decision not discussed with me) and patch the roof. More recently, in prep to put my house up for sale a pre-inspection check revealed the roof is prematurely at end of life. I called Stalcup to request that they honor the warrantee but they declined to do this instead, they sent a salesman to offer me a bid on a 50 year warrantee roof! There are too many reputable companies out there, do not risk your roof with Stalcup.

We had had three other companies visit and he stood out for his professionalism and knowledge - he was the only person who a) observed that our house was built in 1937 and b) explained its long and likely history of poor roof choices, which led to c) his plan for a new system that would help the old girl finally breathe as she was originally designed to do. We wound up putting off the project due to the pandemic, so had a lot of time to consider our options. We decided that along with Klam's quality came peace of mind, and so secured them this winter. The team came out and finished in two days; were awesome and frankly we are still shocked by how clean the site was after they left; they did a great job of clean-up! Also have to say we so appreciated Katie in the office; she is highly communicative and we had a clear idea of schedule thanks to her. A few hiccups along the way (blasting music at 3am from their truck parked in my driveway, I stepped on on of their roofing nails (ouch!), and this oddity in the upper rain gutter where it unnecessarily slants making it look horrible. I realize gutters need to slope to drain water, but this one is extreme and looks stupid). Would I recommend these guys? Maybe. Update: Clear Vision finally sent a crew out to fix the small section of rain gutter with the unusual slant. So kudos to them for following up albeit weeks later. (BTW, I also asked for a bid to paint my house : they provided a dollar quote but didn't send anyone to talk to me about what I needs or what service they would provide. They got back to me with a bid in a couple days; the price was fair and the deposit was a very reasonable percentage of the bid amount. After I signed they got back to me with a date, but let me know that it was forecast to rain hard that day, and if it did they would have to reschedule, which it did. They immediately rescheduled and the weather cooperated. Their guys showed up between 7 and 7:30 and got to work. They were 2/3 done by dark and finished it off the next day. They carefully walked the job at the end and were very good about the clean up. The next day they called and offered to come out and walk the job with me to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction - very professional. We had one change order and they didn't try to gouge on the price. We did a major remodel/addition a couple years ago land dealt with 11 contractors or subs; Powerful was by far the best company we've worked with.
