My co-worker is always getting Dutch Bros, and I have always wanted to try them. I finally made a stop, and OH my gooooodnesss! I have been missing out this entire time of my life. The young lady that came to my car for order was friendly. The young lady at window, however, was friendly with an extra cherry on top. She confirmed my order and handed me my pastry while asking, "What are you excited about today?". The question touched sentimental me and not something that would be asked at big chain coffee place. LOVE IT! I am so glad to have this new Dutch Bros location so close to home. This location definitely doesn't disappoint. Service is excellent, fast, and very friendly. It was very cold outside on my visit, and I felt bad for the girl standing outside taking orders. I asked her if she was doing ok, and she said she was bundled up and warm. So, it made me feel better knowing she was ok and enjoying her job. The woman in the window was bubbly and friendly. She asked me about my day as we waited for our drinks. A visit like this can really leave you with a great feeling, and makes you want to keep going back. Our drinks were ready within a couple of minutes, and everyone was satisfied as we drove on down the road. If you ever find yourself on Custer Road in McKinney, I highly recommend you drive up the road to the Dutch Bros and check it out for yourself. I went ahead and tried the sugar free golden eagle. This consisted of bold espresso, sugar-free vanilla syrup, and sugar-free caramel sauce. It wasn't overly sweet and I actually enjoyed it. The country's largest privately held coffee chain has arrived in Dallas and this is the very first location. To be fair, I don't like the country's largest public coffee chain (ahem, *Starbucks*) so I didn't have much expectation for Dutch Bros. I tried it for the hype. I wanted to know the coffee that every Gen Z influencer on the West Coast is talking about. After following the sign to get in the drive-thru line, I ordered a "positive vibe" and "energy-packed" large cup of iced coffee from their college student staff. I know it sounds sarcastic but that is how Dutch Bros dominates the West Coast if you're not familiar. And as expected, the drink was disappointing and it made me feel I'm too old for jumping on the Gen Z train. It tasted like 35 grams of cane sugar mixed with coffee milk. I drank only 2 inches of the liquid level. If you're reading this and you're a student, you're the target market for Dutch Bros. I hope one day you will realize how overpriced this is and spend your coffee money elsewhere. read more

First time ever having Dutch Bros coffee and although it's well over my 2 dollar limit for coffee it was well worth it. I had the annihilator sugar free and it's really good, needed a little more sweetener for my liking so I added an equal and wow it's good! I drink what the old timers call sissy coffee tho lots of cream and now artificial sweetener. So all the young adults working today need a raise and I don't even know what they make. The guy outside (Brian) that was taking orders gets mad mad props, really nice and friendly and took time to help a brother out. Then the two lady's at the window were friendly and smiling and agin great customer service! Now the reason for the 4 star not a 5 is the wait and it's a wait, 6:20 and didn't leave until 6:52. This is my favorite place to get coffee. They have the best mocha I have ever had. I could drink it all day and then I wouldn't sleep, and I would need another one. I've given dutch bros so many shots and somehow it's disappointing every time . I was So excited to have Dutch so close to my house but every single drink I've tried just tastes like milk in a cup. There's never any flavor - from syrups to extra shots I've tried it all. I think their drinks are so heavy on the milk/heavy cream that it overpowers all other flavor profiles. I don't like my lattes to be strong and even I wanted more coffee taste. If you like strong coffee I suggest you steer clear. Customer service is always a 10/10 though! I went to check out what the hype was about regarding this drive-thru coffee, and indeed there was a line as I drove up on a hot Thursday afternoon. Much like Chik-fil-a does during lunch rush, there were servers standing outside, taking orders from the line of cars to increase efficiency. Although organized, I was appalled that the staff was out in 101 degree Texas heat in the middle of the afternoon (note, this was mid-afternoon, not a lunch rush). We did receive our drinks as soon as we made it to the window. The coffee we had tasted just like a QT latte. And the smoothie, although advertised to contain real fruit, tasted like the berry syrup they pour over a berry sundae at McDonalds. I was not impressed. Now, I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love discovering new cafes and this one has been touted for their amazing customer service. For those who don't know, this is drive-thru only. The line was pretty long at 12pm but they have plenty of workers taking orders to get you moving (super friendly and efficient bunch). DRINK: Besides coffee, they offer an assortment of smoothies, teas, and I may have seen soda? If you've never been to a Dutch Bros before (like me), I suggest you review the menu beforehand cuz there's no bulletin that you can reference off of. I'm a sucker for all things lavender, and it looks like they have lavender options for a limited time so I decided to go with a large green tea lemonade with lavender (pic attached). For something that looks like water, I was surprised I could actually taste some lemonade (but not much else). I will definitely need to ask for light ice and more lavender flavor next time or try something else. REWARDS: They don't have stamp cards, but you can collect points and get a free welcome drink by downloading and registering on their app. Overall, my first experience has been pretty disappointing, but I am willing to give them another try. read more

However, as a former barista and coffee connoisseur, this was very disappointing coffee. Most of the drinks here are loaded with sugar and cream. So if you like a little coffee with your cream and sugar then this is the place for you! I on the other hand like a good coffee w/ just a little sugar and maybe some oat milk. Many of their drinks say breve on them, which if you're not sure, that means half & half (half milk, half cream). I was honestly so excited to try this place because of the hype but the coffee itself isn't a good coffee. So I personally don't recommend. I'd be willing to try again in the future, but for now, I'm sticking w/ some local shops and Starbucks. read more

Came on Opening Day but at about 5 pm. Tons of staff, high energy, and lots of tasty options. We tried the Mango smoothie, Annulater, and the kids smoothie along with a chocolate chip muffin top. Overall the drinks were good and the kids cups are cute. The muffin top was nothing to write home about though. Taking 1 star off for the following reasons: - our order was wrong, the Annulater was ordered blended but was given to us iced - we were asked by the person taking our order if we wanted to tip 15%, 20%, or 25%. Super awkward, I don't mind tipping a buck or two but to be put on the spot like that and end up paying a 3.00 tip and have one of your drinks made incorrectly is not fun. -lastly they do not offer food options outside of the mediocre muffin tops. So this would be a place for drinks only, if you want breakfast or lunch you would have to go somewhere else for that. It was fun trying something new.
