Spencer's is such a fun coffee shop in a college town. You'll see plenty of WKU students here as…read morewell as locals. This shop is located downtown, but there's another shop closer to the highway that has a drive-thru and parking lot. I have not been to that location. I came here twice, and I had a nitro cold brew with sugar free vanilla as well as a hot black sesame matcha with oat milk. The cold brew was smooth and strong- perfect for powering through a workday on a warm day. The black sesame matcha didn't taste "green" and stayed warm, a powerful punch to get through the afternoon. They also have unique non-coffee drinks; my coworker got an iced drink called "Huckleberry Ben" that seemed interesting. The prices are so low here. You can get two specialty coffee drinks for under $15, and that includes tax and tip. The baristas were nice, and the coffee shop is a fun place to hang out if you want to work or chill. I don't know why anyone would drink chain coffee in Bowling Green with Spencer's around. I can see why everyone loves it, and I will be back too!

The shared restroom setup was a little awkward, but honestly, I'm glad it brought me in because it felt like discovering a hidden gem in Bowling Green. The atmosphere inside is amazing; cozy, stylish, and definitely a great spot for photos. Since it's close to WKU, there were lots of students and staff studying and working, which gave the place a really nice local energy. The woman taking our coffee order was incredibly kind and friendly. She was so genuinely thankful when I left a tip, which made the experience feel even warmer. Great coffee, great vibe, and a perfect little stop while exploring Bowling Green. Highly recommend grabbing a cup here as part of your downtown visit.

Let me preface my review with saying I have never in my life felt so strongly about a business that…read moreI felt the need to post a review online about it. I had to make a yelp account just to post this. I recently took a trip to KY to see a friend, and she introduced me to Spencer's Coffee. I wasn't so sure I would care much for it as I don't drink coffee, but she raved so much about it that I knew I had to try. I arrived to Bowling Green late in the evening, so the next morning when we woke up, we headed to Spencer's for breakfast. The store was cozy and lively, with many people eating and studying. I ordered a hot chai with almond milk, a vegan pumpkin muffin, and at the INSISTENCE of my friend, an oatmeal chai cream pie. I was especially excited for the chai as I've never had it. The baristas were all very helpful and kind, and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. Y'all. Not only do I have a newfound *obsession* with making hot chai lattes (which, unfortunately do not compare to the Spencer's one ) but I also experienced THE BEST oatmeal cream pie OF MY LIFE. The moment I took a bite, I was flooded with fall nostalgia. I'm not exaggerating when I say it took me back to my childhood, staying with my grandma, and baking goodies with her. The chai makes it even cozier, like you're getting a spiced hug. We went to Spencers every. single. morning. of my three day trip. I was not disappointed once. I ordered the chai every day I was there. On the second day, I tried the coffee cake. I was nervous it might be overly sweet for breakfast, but I decided, what the heck, I'm on (mini) vacation, I'll get it anyways. The barista asked if I'd like it warmed up, and to say no would have been a missed opportunity. It was TRANSCENDENT. So perfectly sweetened, fluffy, and warm, it makes eating cake for breakfast a GOOD idea. Even if you don't like coffee, Spencer's is a non negotiable visit if you're anywhere near Bowling Green. I would go so far as to say a trip to Kentucky would be a trip wasted without going to this place.

Had a great iced mocha from Spencer's that was served with a smile. I was also able to pick up a…read morebag of beans and picked from about 8 different blends. The only negative is the parking lot was a bit of a nightmare to get out of when they were busy.
