Dusit Thani was formerly the Manila Garden Hotel back when it first opened. My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights. We had an executive room with club access which is the best way to go these days. The location is close to the airport and is close to many restaurants and shops. It's close to the Glorietta which connects to practically every area around Ayala and SM malls. The food at the Pantry is a buffet with an international flair. The service, concierge, restaurant staff, and security of the hotel is top notch. Service with a smile at all times. Since we had the club access, we often dined at the club lounge which offers an excellent breakfast/brunch, snacks, tea, and cocktails. The ladies at the club lounge were so super friendly and accommodating. They made us feel extra special during our entire stay. Housekeeping, the best! Since it is an old hotel, there are areas particularly in the bathroom that they need to address. They have a very nice garden which we loved. Still a very beautiful hotel.

Fantastic 5-star hotel for the area! I understand there may be more modern upscale hotels but for being a chain and having a certain aesthetic, the hotel itself is very well maintained and clean. Staff greet you and open the doors of the lobby. The first for me is a small TSA-style metal detector (presumably for safety) at the entrance. There also happens to be multiple on-site restaurants, one of which has a breakfast buffet that was outstanding! There is also a pool, which was on a higher floor outdoors but somewhat smaller than other rooftop pools I have tried. They sent fresh fruit to my room and even accommodated an early checkin as their gesture for something special once I requested if something could be done, as it was my husband's first trip to the Philippines! I overall recommend this hotel and would check out their other locations around the world. Will stay here again if I return to Manila!

We only stayed one night at this hotel. We usually stay at a nearby hotel, which is newer and connected to the mall. This is a hotel we enjoyed staying at before the other hotel was built. I didn't have the problem that others had in checking in regarding the deposit not being returned to them. In fact, they didn't even ask for a credit card or cash for incidentals. Then again, it might be because I checked in with a Lifestyle membership card. The front desk, housekeepers, concierge, and restaurant employees were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet that came with our reservation. The room needed to be updated, but it was clean and had nice amenities. We were surprised to receive a complimentary dessert. We usually go to this hotel for Thai food. Benjarong is one of our favorite Thai restaurant places in Makati, which has a Michelin starred chef.

If you're visiting Manila and wanted to stay around Makati, I recommend you stay at the Dusit hotel. Me and my wife stayed for staycation while visiting my family in Manila. The hotel is not new but the rooms are quite decent and comfortable. The lobby is very clean and the clerks are all courteous. The room we got came with a buffet breakfast International style. Of course, you'll get your favorite Tapsilog and Tocilog. They also have a section of Porridge or Lugaw. Not to mention a person walking around catering TAHO. The person is all attired on our native outfit. The advantage on staying here is that you're a walk away from getting to Shoemart, Landmark, and Glorietta. There are so many places to eat around this mall. You don't have to drive around, all you need is a good walking shoe. So when you want to stay in a hotel around Makati, try this place.

One of the hotels in the area that you can consider staying in. Perfect location close to the malls, variety of restaurants if you are sort of a foodie. Room was ok nothing extra ordinary, value for money indeed, nice pool, staff were attentive definitely can't go wrong for a few days with this. Proper hotel. Recommended.

My mom and I stayed at Dusit Thani Manila in Manila. I could definitely tell by the exterior that it was an old hotel, but the grand and opulent lobby made up for it. Since the hotel is a Thai chain, the interior design and decor reflected the beauty of the culture. There were even bell boys and female hostess wearing the traditional Thai garb. Off to the side of the receptionist area, there was someone playing a Khim, which was played by hammering on the strings. The check-in process went smoothly. My mom and I were offered some amazing deals including P1000 off vouchers for the spa or food. This was perfect as I had scheduled a couple of massages during the time of our stay at Dusit Thani. I liked that The Pantry, which was the main dine-in restaurant on the main floor, had a grab & go cafe section. I'm not big on buffets, so this was perfect for getting a quick breakfast bite and coffee. Additionally, the bar inside The Pantry had such a sick deal. Everyday they have a happy hour from 9pm-1am for UNLIMITED drinks within a selection of cocktails and beers including mojito, margarita, draft beers, wine, etc. for only P590/person. What a deal! I had an overall comfortable stay in our room. Like the exterior, I could tell our room was old by the color in between the grout on the floors and in the showers. Didn't bother me too much, because the room was pretty clean. Appreciated the amenities and toiletries available in the room. The bed was alright. It was stiff as a board, but I surprisingly slept through the night with no issues. Probably helped that the pillows were great and cradled my neck/head without discomfort. I went to Dusit Thani's gym often and quite impressed by the variety of equipment as well as their quality. The gym had TRX, battle ropes, free weights, treadmills, mats, punching bag, and more. Basically I had everything I needed to do my extensive workouts as I do back at home. The gym also had a locker room, showers, and a sauna. Since Devarana Spa doesn't have its own Yelp page, I'll write about my spa experience here. The spa was absolutely gorgeous. It was also quite big and had multiple rooms. I booked an Ayurvedic head massage for myself, and a Borehilot massage for me and my mom. I loved that I got complimentary 15 min. steams prior to each massage. What was cool was that the steam room was conveniently inside my room, and It also doubled as a shower. The Ayurvedic massage was great. It's very rare that my head gets massaged when I get full body massages, so it was nice releasing the pressure from my head. If you're the type of person who loves their hair hair getting played with, you'll certainly love this massage. The Borehilot massage was the absolute best! My masseuse was Ashper, and she was amazing. She applied the perfect amount of pressure that I needed (medium-hard) and really worked out my knots. Plus I enjoyed the overall experience with the herbs and hot banana leaf compresses.

Dusit Thani Makati - In-room dining menu *** NOT GOOD FOR QUARANTINE GUESTS***
    Jerome A.

Hotel is great for leisure travelers but ***NOT FOR QUARANTINE STAY*** Basically, stay clear of this hotel if you staying for COVID-related quarantine stay. Unless of course you have deep pockets. This hotel has been an institution in the Makati Business District of Metro Manila in the Philippines. We had to stay at the hotel for 5 days as mandated by Philippine Health authorities. That's fine. But they were not really upfront with meal rules for quarantine guests, who are not allowed to enjoy the hotel's facilities except those provided inside the room. __ THIS IS A HUGE BUMMER!!! And they were never straightforward in the hotel reservation. It too late when we realized that outside food deliveries are not allowed when staying at the hotel (at least for quarantine). This means, we had to sustain nourishment from the hotel's in-room dining service, which has astronomical prices. They did have free daily breakfast but that's not lunch nor dinner. $23 for a small cup of sinigang and a small cup of spaghetti (for the kid)? C'mon. It's a reason to avoid visiting the Philippines :( See the attached photos of the in-room dining menu.

BEWARE! Do NOT stay at this hotel. I stayed 4 nights from Wednesday May 26 to Sunday May 30, 2023 in a junior suite (Room 850). Dusit Thani Manila took a large deposit on my Visa card which was supposed to be a pre-authorisation guarantee. Instead they actually charged my card several hundred dollars. Upon check-out with no incidental charges made, I was informed the funds would be refunded promptly. It is now June 7 and the funds have NOT been returned! I've been calling and e-mailing the Dusit Thani Manila for one month now. I have been passed between 5 of their staff (Armon Flores, Dhane Basco, Lyn Vistan, Gerald Uy and Abby Niebres). They all acknowledge a refund is due and they keep saying verbally and by e-mail that their bank will refund the money to my credit card. But this hasn't happened after 5 weeks since my stay at their hotel. Finally, last week I supplied Dusit Thani Manila with my bank details in Singapore and requested they simply wire the funds back. They have still failed to refund the money they should have never taken in the first place. (See attached photo). I am now in touch with the General Manager of the hotel - Mr. Stanley Lo. He advised the hotel would solve this matter, but still NO refund of my money has been wire transferred or returned to my credit card. Once again, do NOT stay at the Dusit Thani Manila hotel. They are unethical and incompetent. I am skeptical they will ever refund my money, which is why I am forced to write this review.

Breakfast: dried squid (like it better than bacon), Phil. bacon (like English bacon), dried guava, German sausage & eggs hungry lol.

The room wasn't as clean as it should have been. The worst part was room service. They rolled the cart directly into my room, and it was visibly dirty and unsanitary. It honestly grossed me out enough that I didn't want to order room service again. This is something that should be basic and non-negotiable at a hotel of this level. I had also requested that the front desk note that I work U.S. hours, since sleep during the day is critical. That note was never added, and I was woken up abruptly while trying to rest. When traveling internationally for work, that kind of disruption makes a huge difference. The beds were not very comfortable, and soundproofing was poor. I could hear people talking, yelling, and children screaming at all hours, including late into the night. I was there during the holidays, which I understand is a busy time, but the lack of sound insulation made it difficult to sleep. The one highlight was the buffet. It's large, with a lot of variety, and the service there was excellent. The staff were attentive and professional, and it was easily the best part of the stay. Overall, this feels more like a resort hotel suited for vacations and families rather than business travel. I'll be going back to the Westin for future trips, even if I have to pay the difference myself. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.

The rooms have a kitchen, dining table and living room. The space is nice to have and doesn't feel so crowded in a hotel room. Family friendly environment. Only thing I'd like to see is an upgrade in the furniture, curtains, and new fixtures in the bathrooms. The suites are majorly outdated. And sometimes our fridge didn't work, we had to throw out a few food items that had spoiled. The surrounding malls and restaurants is nice to have in walking distance which gave us plenty to see when we weren't with family. They have a restaurant on site that has a buffet breakfast and the place continues to serve until midnight. The menu has Filipino and other international options. They are so attentive and treated us like family. My father utilized the spa and sauna frequently and enjoyed the company of the staff at the spa who assisted and made it comfortable. I also recommend utilizing their airport shuttle which is so easy to book on their website or in person with the front desk. Shout out to the awesome staff who made our month long stay a pleasant experience: Chito, Jesiel, Ato, Dante, Joey, Mj, Emmanuel, Clyde, Nico, William, Michelle, Alexa, Almar, Belle, John, Edmar and Lerma.

I booked The Linden Suites through Booking.com and let me just say, if you are going to book with…read morethem, either book through their main website or call directly. For whatever reason, me and my partner were given the impression that they were not prepared for our arrival. We arrived at the scheduled 4PM check-in time, yet our room wasn't ready right away and it took more than an hour. While waiting in that hour, the receptionists/front desk employees showed no attentiveness or urgency to give us an update or status as to what's going on. We were told something like our reservation needs to be updated in their system.. I shouldn't have to be the one to approach each time to ask what's going on, like at least apologize for the wait, check on your guests, etc. I come up, to get an update, and they said housekeeping is preparing our room..? I just think they should remove their listing on Booking.com if they're not active in using them as a third-party site for booking reservations because it just appears to me they did not anticipate for our arrival at all. My next complaint, for a "4 star hotel" their plumbing sucks. Couldn't even get hot water at times. Even the shower head isn't fully functioning, like somehow both shower head and faucet is on even though you just want to shower, not fill the tub. Plus somehow the showerhead water pressure is too strong, as if you're blasting yourself with a pressure washer; showering shouldn't hurt?? The breakfast buffet I'll give 3/5 because sometimes the food selection is really good, but it's hit or miss. Some days they serve food that's just mediocre or nothing impressive, like my boyfriend cooks better corned beef, how is this suppose to be a high-end hotel. Another thing that doesn't make sense and made our stay unpleasant is their parking system. If we're staying at the hotel for 17 nights, I don't get why EVERY time we leave hotel parking, we have to get a new assigned parking spot upon our return. I don't understand why they don't just assign one spot indefinitely throughout our entire stay. Every time we leave hotel parking, we have to speak to the parking attendant and present our parking ticket each time, and almost every time, we have to get a different parking spot upon our return to the hotel parking. It's just annoying and unnecessary. My final complaint is housekeeping entering our room without permission when the privacy light is on; my boyfriend was in the shower then heard someone knocking at our door. He put on shorts, but before he could head toward the door, housekeeping just helped herself to entering. When the privacy/do not disturb light is on.. And my boyfriend was shirtless, so of course she's surprised and reacts.. But yeah, why enter the room when the door message is already set to "privacy" and no one's answering the door. Overall, I'll give this place 3 stars out of 5 at best because at least when ringing housekeeping or making requests, they've been very kind and attentive and the rooms are clean and impressive, especially when you book a deluxe suite with kitchenette and nice city view. However, I will not return to this hotel again.

I must say that, compared to the Mandaluyong branch, they stepped up in terms of customer service! During the week that I reserved, it was the weekend before Christmas and there were heavy rains. I remember that I planned to check-in late because I had a meeting in the afternoon. Unlike other hotels (if you don't appear on time, they give your room away!), they called me to make sure that I was still going to avail the room and wanted to ask if I needed assistance to get to the hotel (amazing!). When I arrived at around 5PM, they had all the papers filled and even a pouch of complimentary toiletries. I signed everything, paid with my card and went straight to my room. Quick and easy! The room is spacious and comes with a LCD TV. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were the down-feather kind (so soft!). WiFi comes free with the room and it was steady the whole evening. Best of all, the bathroom is clean and well maintained. There is a no eating policy in the room which is a great idea so that no insects are attracted into the room. I think what the one drawback was, is that the hot water is not consistent The hot water at the bath the first time was very consistent and steamy. The second visit had hot water for a short period of time Will probably want to stay here again in the near future

Pros: The one bedroom suite is a decent size room with nice views. Also if you book your room directly through their website you can get the option to have breakfast at their breakfast buffet on the eighth floor. Cons: The Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired. Even when rooms are available they are ridiculously strict with their 3 PM check-in. There are times where I've had to go walk around mega Mall for a couple hours just to burn time after a 19 hour flight just to get there. The pools on top of each tower are OK but they are normally freezing. They need to do a better job of keeping it as a refreshing temperature. And you only get two towels in the bathroom. Which is ridiculous because my girlfriend uses one for her body hair and when you ask for additional towels, they want to charge me more money. And the elevators are ridiculously slow

Breakfast is a little pricey there so i bought food nearby from street vendors. Very inexpensive and tasty. Hotel service was good, AC worked well and lots of hot water in the shower. We always get the Executive Suite which is always comfortable. Only downside to this place is there are little roaches running around.

In their buffet, I've tried their Pumpkin Soup, Sweet and Sour Fish, Roasted Herb Chicken and Beef Stroganoff. I like their Salad station as well. And really love their Banoffee cupcake. Highlight for me is the dessert and the Beef Stroganoff. It's tender, not that salty and gravy has a nice consistency. The Banoffee pie is also great! Love na banana caramel flavor! I checked in Saturday early afternoon right after I had lunch at my cousin's place in San Pablo. There wasn't much of a crowd when I got dropped off which was a win cow it was hot af. I think there were only a couple other parties checking in the same time as I was. The man out front opened the door for me and assisted with my luggage then ushered me to the front desk. The whole process was super quick. The people out front were super friendly and nice. Someone assisted me with taking my luggage up to my room. He gave me a full tour of the room and explained pretty much everything. My goodness, my room was quite the spread. First off, there was a whole ass kitchen. I could've gotten groceries and made food in the room, but I chose chaos instead as I usually do and got food from outside. Second, the whole place was so clean. As soon as I saw the huge fridge, I instantly regretted declining the food that my cousin tried to give me. The kitchen and living room are separated from the room. There was a decent size tv and comfortable couch where I comfortably napoed while playing music from the tv. The room was spacious. The view at night was nice being so high up. I think I was on the 24th floor. The blackout curtains came in clutch when I woke up late in the day because sleeping in is the name of the game when you have no plans. There are a few dining options walking distance and if you're into walking under the hot sun, Megamall is about 10 mins away. There's also a mini stop right next door. They're open 24/7 - WIN! I really wish I took the time to write down the names of the people that helped me because they deserve all the accolades. I hope you enjoyed the buko pie I brought over. What a pleasure it was to stay here. Thank you to everyone working the weekend I was there for an enjoyable time. Everyone was so helpful and nice.
