Two Irish coffees made at the exact same time, both very different.
    Mary H.

Worst Irish coffee I ever had. From the photo you could see one looks like hot water with whiskey and the other is burnt coffee. Also, ran out of one type of whiskey and added a different type in ... neither of which were Jamison's. Shitty drinks plus a shitty attitude equals zero stars.

Beer selection here is small but okay, service is decent, a good ambiance as well but their spice bag is ass for 18$. I've never had such moist fries, though the fried chicken and the spice on the fries was decent. Heard people in here being excited earlier about the corned beef tacos so if I ever feel inclined to try anything else here I would go with that. No hate to the establishment and the staff, but if the spice bag is your mainstay I would maybe focus on QC. It's slow as hell and I was the only person here ordering food, so I would really expect better.

The fish and chips were crispy and delicious. The bartender was busy with the cash register. There was only one other guy drinking ice cold beer. The place is quiet and very clean. It is in a nice neighborhood on Irving St. They a lot of specials for the day

Quick dinner and drinks with my husband since we were in the Outer Sunset neighborhood, we decided to try their Fish & Chips and Classic Burger with fries and draft beer. Food was alright, nothing too out of the ordinary. I like the fish & chips from another pub better as the batter on this one is a bit soggy. The bartender was nice. 3.5 stars.

While out exploring San Francisco we found ourselves thirty and looking for a fun spot to grab a drink and Durty Nelly's was near by. What a great spot to grab a drink. Loaded with character and friendly staff. The bartender mixed a delicious drink with a great selection of Irish Whiskeys. I was grateful they had some tequila. They have set up a patio and not sure if this is temporary or if they have plan to keep it. We were there on a pretty cold day and they had the fire going which was very nice to enjoy.

We had planned to watch the third place World Cup match (England vs France) and had initially looked into the Mad Dog in the Fog and Kezar Pub as plans A and B respectively. Both of them were charging a cover charge to come inside and watch the match, so we decided to look elsewhere. We encountered O'Reilly's and stepped inside to see if it'd meet our expectations. All I can say is that we're damn glad we did! Facts: * They do NOT serve/sell food. They are drinks ONLY. BUT, don't let that dissuade you from coming here. They're very lenient on you bringing in your own food to eat (granted you should also be courteous and buy something to drink here as well.), and there are some great food places within walking distance such as Escape from New York Pizza, Cha Cha Cha and even Whole Foods. * The owner is a great guy and is even Irish to boot! We had a great time shooting the breeze with him. There was one other employee working the bar as well who was friendly. * Prices, IMO, are reasonable for the drinks they serve. The pub got pretty crowded for the match, but the two employees had everything under control and seemed to be able to still bring people their drinks in a timely manner. We got pizza from Escape from New York down the street, and then washed it down with some Guinness here. (The Guinness was $10/glass.) Our drinks came fairly quickly. Overall, a great time was had by us and all, and, to make things even better, England won the match!! I've been to my share of British and/or Irish pubs, and, despite not serving any food, O'Reilly's is still one worth patronizing. Give it a shot! I was bummed we didn't have time to stay for dinner, but we grabbed seats at the bar, shared the AMAZING tomato soup and bread, and had a couple cocktails. Everyone talks about their bread being some of the best sourdough in SF, and it really is pretty amazing! I'd describe it as more of a rustic take on sourdough--warm, hearty and perfect with the soup. Loved the cozy, laid-back atmosphere and the whole vibe of this place. We will definitely be back next time for the full dinner experience!

Unfortunately, I left feeling like the experience simply didn't justify the hype or the price. To start with the positives, the pecan brioche sticky bun was genuinely delicious. At $8 it was hard to justify the price for the size, but the flavor was excellent. The smash potatoes were also very well done, crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the better items we ordered, even if $10 felt steep for the portion. Everything else, however, left us scratching our heads. My in laws ordered the breakfast sandwich, which starts at $17 without the sausage. Adding the sausage brought it to an astonishing $23, and honestly, it was a pretty average breakfast sandwich. We all agreed we could have walked a block over to Devil's Teeth and gotten something larger, more satisfying, and nearly half the price. We also ordered the fried mortadella sandwich, which came in at $18. It tasted fine, but at the end of the day it felt like an expensive deli sandwich that didn't do enough to justify the cost. The biggest disappointment was the Dutch pancake. At $20, we expected something memorable. Instead, it arrived overcooked around the edges while the center was an absolute runny mess. It was easily the weakest dish of the meal. The dining experience itself also felt a bit strange. We were a party of five, and were asked if we'd be willing to share our table in case another group of three came in. I understand restaurants trying to maximize seating, but it made the meal feel less comfortable than we'd hoped. The saving grace of our visit was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. They were the highlight of the experience and made us feel well taken care of despite our disappointment with the food. I can appreciate that Outerlands has built a loyal following over the years, but after this visit I just don't understand the hype. Between the inconsistent execution and the exceptionally high prices, it's difficult for me to justify coming back when there are so many other fantastic brunch spots in the Sunset offering better value.
