As someone who is genuinely curious as to why certain procedures are suggested, it is great to get a better understanding from my dentist. Dr. Argersinger is a gracious, skilled dentist. His staff is top-notch and always very friendly. He prefers to be called "Dr. Bill" and this to my way of thinking, is a way to relax the patient, as going to the dentist can be very stressful. (Think needles and drilling, etc). There are two ladies who have been with this practice for years, before Dr. Bill came into the picture, when the previous dentist retired. That says something about the caliber of this practice and the trust placed in him. I just moved to Bull City and needed a new dentist to get back on track with routine cleaning. Due to a motorcycle accident which involved serious facial and dental injuries, I am very sensitive to dental work. I was impressed with the hygienist patience with my stop and go request as I required a few breaks and also with the Doctor taking time to actually talk and get to know me as a new patient. read more

Front desk staff are super-friendly and nice, very accommodating. Hygienists were efficient and thorough and also very nice. BUT, Dr. Argersinger was overly familiar. He introduced himself as "Bill", a practice that some doctors have that I find frustrating and uncomfortable. Using first names assumes a kind of intimacy that I do NOT want to have in a patient-practitioner relationship. I would have been willing to overlook this, but he also TOUCHED MY LEG while chatting with me about his practice. I was too taken aback to say anything about it at the time, but I spent the remainder of my appt feeling anxious, upset, and angry. It is not ok for any doctor to touch a patient (other than what is medically required) at any time, but it is especially NOT OK for a male doctor to touch a female patient within a few minutes of meeting her for the first time. Hand-shaking and examining my teeth are fine. Resting a hand on my leg as you casually talk to me about your opinions on teeth whitening is NOT. In spite of Dr. Argersinger's obvious technical skill as a dentist, I will not be going back. read more

Dr. Argersinger is AH-MAY-ZING! Seriously. I little while back, I had been having really intense pain shooting down my jaw, and when I called at lunchtime, the front desk was so nice and fit me in at the end of the day. So, I'm almost positive, they made an exception for me, and I was so very grateful! The office itself is nice and modern. I loved that there were pictures of Dr. Argersinger's adorable family and dogs strewn all over the walls of the exam room. First off, I was super nervous to see him because I hadn't been to a dentist in well over a year and a half due to budget constraints, so I knew my teeth weren't the best they could be and was scared I'd have to have a root canal. But, he was understanding and didn't make me feel embarrassed at all. And after going through the X-rays, he couldn't figure out a dental reason for my pain, besides a minor cavity that he explained wouldn't be the reason for the amount of pain I was experiencing. After doing a couple more diagnostic tests, his best theory was that it was a nerve issue, but recommended an endodontist in the area if I wanted to followup with her for a different type of X-ray to rule out dental pain. He was so thorough with his exam and explanation to me, and I could tell he really wanted to diagnose the problem. But, in the end, he helped me figure out that my pain was most likely due to a pinched nerve in the area. He has to be hands down my favorite dentist I've ever encountered. Very caring. I've already recommended to a bunch of people, including my boyfriend, who saw him last week and thinks he may have a man crush. Well, maybe he didn't actually say that, but I'm sure that's what he thought. :) Dr. Argersinger really is awesome. And although he is not "in network" with my dental plan, I am really considering continuing my care with him, anyway! read more

Dr. Argersinger and his staff are top-notch. Whenever I walk in the office, I am always greeted with a smile. Also, their new office is gorgeous! It has to be at least double, if not triple the size of their old office. Lots of natural light, and room to grow. Dr. Argersinger ('please call me Bill') is so thorough, friendly, and professional. He helps me realize that good dental health is a team effort, and helps motivate me to keep taking good care of my teeth. I jokingly tell him that I strive to see him as little as possible, even though I know that I'm in very qualified hands. I had my first filling a couple of years ago, and Dr. Bill was so gentle and made the whole process easy, simple, and painless. He also sings while he works--better him than me! My hygienist Wendy is wonderful. She treats me like an old friend, and genuinely wants to hear about how I'm doing and what's going on in my life. Squeaky clean doesn't even begin to describe my teeth when she's done cleaning them! I was so lucky that I found Dr. Bill and his staff when I moved to Durham. It is very apparent that Dr. Bill and his staff truly enjoy what they do. They are simply the best and I recommend them to all my friends! read more
