Rachel assisted Dr. Jones with a couple of my fillings and they made it as painless as possible. Granted, no dental procedure is truly painless, but Rachel's bedside manner and assuredness was an immense comfort. Dr. Jones always makes appointments feel breezy, and I know the hygienists play a big part in making that possible! Front desk staff is also very professional and helpful, including Jordan. Therapy team can be seen on site occasionally, but may be caught sleeping in the lobby. Still five stars, would add more for Abigail if I could. read more

I've been a patient at Brier Creek Dental for almost 4 years now. This practice serves 3 generations of women in my family. Myself, Daughter and my mother who is 70. Dr. Jones is wonderful and the entire staff are very professional with warm personalities. Leaving my dentist on Long Island was very devastating for me. I am grateful to have found a trusted professional in Dr. Jones. He has a warm spirit and the best bedside manner. I have visited with other dental offices in the area and none compare to Brier Creek. Everyone who works here is excellent. From reception, to Eddie in billing. I recently took my mother here who had not been to the dentist in a few years. Dr. Jones was very gentle, took his time discussing his recommendations for her with me and I really appreciated that. I visited Brier Creek Dental for the first time a few weeks ago while searching for a new dental provider in the area. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and unsettling. While I could overlook the fact that the facility wasn't as modern as my previous dentist's office, and the hygienist was rough despite my request for gentleness--responding dismissively with, "I'll be as careful as I can based on what your teeth are like"--what I absolutely cannot overlook is what happened next. After taking extensive images of my mouth and briefly mentioning a previous issue with a crown (done by another dentist), the doctor began working in my mouth without any explanation or consent. I suddenly heard tools but didn't know what was happening. He did not ask for permission, nor did he discuss a treatment plan with me. He shaved down my crown--originally white to mimic a real tooth--exposing the metal underneath. I was shocked and horrified. Now I'm left with an exposed metal crown that I never agreed to, and I'll need to seek another provider to have an entire new crown remade. I contacted the office finance manager to make sure I wasn't being billed or charged for the work I didn't ask for, and shortly after, the owner called to apologize. While I could respect the follow-up, I didn't feel the level of concern or accountability I was hoping for. Frankly, this procedure was done without any form of consent--verbal or written--and I believe the office should be held accountable and cover the cost of the corrective work I now have to seek elsewhere. To make matters worse, I later learned that my boyfriend had also stopped going to this office due to a negative experience involving a painful tooth extraction. His mouth and face had swollen up the size of a grapefruit. Had I known, I would've canceled my appointment. I've never experienced anything like this in all my years of dental care. I've been a patient here for a long time. I dentist-hopped for years because I could never find a provider who was patient enough, kind, and good at their job as a total package. I found it here! Dr. V is my doctor, and he's absolutely wonderful. Ann always cleans my teeth, and she's very gentle and has a wonderful personality. Nobody wants a heavy-handed hygienist. She's great. All the staff who work here are friendly, and they remember your name when you come in. They have a sweet therapy dog who occasionally pays visits, too. I had some crown work done by the folks at Brier Creek Dental, in Durham, NC, in early October. First, they were the ones who identified the problem and hatched a plan for accomplishing this quickly - spelling out exactly why quick action to remedy the situation would make the most sense. Second, once I was in the chair, they worked with dispatch and efficiency to size up the problem, administer the stuff that would dull the impact of their excavation work, and prep the battle space for laying in a new crown. Third, the office had every single piece of 21st century equipment necessary to do this - and they brought the equipment to bear on this challenge, using the x-ray type equipment to examine the impacted area, measure the space for the new crown, and facilitate getting the thing into place. Fourth, the dental assistant - Carla - and the dentist - Dr. Seth Jones - worked together in a manner that was impressive. They were organized, familiar with the SOP, capable of shifting strategies in response to matters that complicated the usual approach to this kind of dental issue. They explained everything, checked and re-checked their work at each point, used multiple ways of getting the crown in exactly right, and then re-checked all of that work. They were especially attentive to the details of the operation - cleaning up the cement utilized to secure the crown, verifying that the new crown fit exactly the way it should in order to get the best bite for the buck, documenting the process for their records. Both the dental assistant and the dentist handled the process in a truly squared away manner, working efficiently, confidently, professionally - in a manner that was topped off with a good dose of concern for patient comfort and confidence in the work they were doing. This is one great office with a staff of careful, friendly, well-trained technicians and competent, professional, polite and caring dentists. Have been going to Brier Creek Dental since I moved to Raleigh 2.5 years ago and the staff and service has always been excellent. Dr. Seth Jones has been my dentist from the beginning and has always taken great care of my teeth every single time i've visited. Each appointment takes place in its own room on a comfy chair with a huge TV just in front of you, in which they allow you to watch any show or listen to any music you want while they attend to your pearly whites! The dental hygenists, reception staff, and the billing staff are also always courteous and friendly every time i've visited. Normally the Dentist can be a scary place to visit but definitely not so this place! read more

Never planned to review a dentist, but Dr. Jones is SO WORTH IT. I've been going there for teeth cleaning around 2 years now, but I had a little cosmetic work done today and am as happy as a clam about it! I was incredibly picky about the work (it's cosmetic... of course I'm going to be picky), but Dr. Jones was incredibly patient and understanding regardless of how many times I asked him to touch things up. I've never had a bad experience there, but this one was worth telling the Yelp community about. Oh! They have a service dog on staff!! I didn't even know that was a thing at the dentist. The other doc there has a service dog he brings in occasionally, specifically if requested by patients with anxiety about dental procedures. Uh yeah, wow. So my last dentist's appt was over 3 years ago. My irresponsibility has led to the inevitable dentists visit where I am diagnosed, publicly shamed and given highly uncomfortable amounts of pain. Not the case at Brier Creek Dental. I came in with the typical anxieties, I KNEW I needed an extraction and some fillings. I had never had an extraction before, and friends have told me it can be pretty uncomfortable, so needless to say, I was not elated about my appt that day. So my wife and I got checked in pretty fast. We were only there for me and after going through the xrays, the nurse "Gina" was very friendly, and very informative. I appreciated that I was learning at the same time that she explained things. She told me I needed a debriding which was necessary before any other work was done. It was around $130 but she did a great job and it was pretty fast! Soon after, DDS Seth Jones came in, we all looked at everything and discussed what was necessary. about 5 fillings and an extraction, possibly 2 crowns if I wanted. We decided to do one filling and one extraction right then and there! So they numbed my gums with a paste, waited a bit and then took a syringe and injected about 4 doses into my jaw. I only felt the pressure of the first needle, which wasn't much at all. Soon, I couldn't feel the right side of my face. I couldn't even feel my right eyeball. haha They got to work on the first filling, I felt and heard the drill scraping away at a tooth. But I felt NO PAIN, WHATSOEVER. NONE, NADA, ZILCH. Now I've had fillings before this dentist, and they would have a little bit of discomfort from time to time, but surprisingly, not here. Not at all. Some pressure, my jaw got tired but other than that. NO PAIN. Next, it was time for the extraction. They have Smart TV's in each room and they are willing to put on a show for you to listen to (You won't be able to watch because you'll be reclined looking at the ceiling) or they can stream internet radio through the TV. But they also play informative videos for you before and after the procedures. So they put on a video of what happens during an extraction, all computer animated stuff so I wasn't seeing the camera view of another persons mouth going through it. Nothing gross. So now I knew, they take a probe, pry and wiggle the tooth, then pull it out with some forceps. Voila! So I'm informed, my face looks like it's falling off because it's so numb and I'm ready! Dr. Jones comes in with a nurse and they get to work on the extraction, I'm pumped and excited (I'm weird). Let's do this! Let's yank this damn thing out! So I feel some scraping and I figure they're preparing the area, and then... "Alright, we're done!" What?! I thought I was supposed to feel pulling! I thought he was gonna put his knee in my chest to yank that bad boy outta there! Done?! I was all excited and nervous for nothing! Wow, so they played a video on the smart TV of what I'm not supposed to do after an extraction, gave me some prescriptions, then I went up front, paid and went home! Hands down, the BEST dental health experience I've ever had in my life. The BEST. I highly recommend this place. read more

Dr. V and his incredible team are so amazing that despite the fact that I've moved away from the Brier Creek area, I will continue to drive 30+ minutes to see them. After over a decade of dental issues (and subsequent anxiety over the amount of work I knew needed to have done) I finally made an appointment with Dr. V and I have been so grateful ever since. He could tell I was very nervous, and he and his staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I went through an extended period where I had to have multiple visits, and each time Dr. V was consistently wonderful. I truly cannot express how much I appreciate him. He's so great, and he's one of those people that you can just tell were meant to be doctors. Seriously, he should teach a class or something on bedside manner - more healthcare professionals should be like him! Also, everyone is SO INCREDIBLY KIND. From the front desk staff to the dental assistants to the finance person, everyone is just so warm and caring. Not to mention the facility is clean and beautiful. Dr. Vasamsetti is INCREDIBLE! You are going to absolute love this practice. I have been coming here for a couple of years now. I have NEVER experienced treatment like this location gives. EVERYONE in this office is polite, friendly, patient, & compassionate. I loathe the dentist's chair, probably like most people (although not everyone), but Brier Creek Dental is without a doubt a magnificent practice with an unbelievable business model. Ashley did a very bad job with cleaning, first she didn't even check my gums properly ( gum probing), didn't floss well and I had to ask her to floss the back of my wisdom teeth... she didn't even bother to do it... during the whole cleaning she kept telling herself "oops ".. that made me real nervous... Dr. Jones and his staff are by far the best dentist I have ever been to! They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and really take care of all your dental needs. Emergency appointments are not hard to get if something happens. I would recommend this dentist to all of my family and friends. I have always had an extreme fear of dentists to the point that I would have a panic attack in the chair, they know that and have done everything to make me feel comfortable and given options to help with that. My fiancee Mark and I have only been going there a month and Dr Jones and his staff make us feel like we have been going there for years and we feel like old friends. Tried this place for the first time recently, and was very pleased by everything. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. Dr. V is a true professional and I am glad to be a patient here. The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth was very thorough and gentle and understanding. My teeth felt wonderful afterwards and they even gave me a goodie bag with free goods. My initial visit for a checkup went well. Dr Clark came in after the cleaning and said I had a few cavities. So I scheduled an appointment to have them filled. I arrived on time but had to wait...for an hour before I even went back. No one offered an explanation or cared that I was waiting. Finally went back and waited another 15 minutes or so. Dr Reynolds came and started with the procedure. I knew what needed to be done but would have preferred a review of what he was going to do. I had two cavities on the bottom and one on the top. Dr Reynolds only did the bottom. I asked about the top and he said he didn't feel it was necessary. I was experiencing some discomfort a week after-wards so I came back and saw Dr Reynolds again. I told him where the pain was and he mentioned something about the top tooth. I told him what he said the week prior and he said it was in the chart that he filled the top and he sees at lot of teeth. There was also a dental assistant in the room when he filled the cavities. Needless to say, I was billed for work that was not done. When I called about the bill, they wanted me to come back to get an xray to prove that nothing was done. This would require me to take time off work and exposure again to radiation. They took xrays the first go round. I am not going to waste my time going back...EVER. They obviously overbook and don't really care that you have to wait and they sure as heck don't believe they are wrong and made a mistake. I can't believe they are that desperate for $44.00. Now, they will lose a patient and others will know not to go there. read more
